Let M be the maximal ideal space of the Banach algebra $H^{\infty}$ of bounded analytic functions on the open unit disc $\triangle$. For a positive singular measure ${\mu}\;on\;{\partial\triangle},\;let\;{L_{+}}^1(\mu)$ be the set of measures v with $0\;{\leq}\;{\nu}\;{\ll}\;{\mu}\;and\;{{\psi}_{\nu}}$ the associated singular inner functions. Let $R(\mu)\;and\;R_0(\mu)$ be the union sets of $\{$\mid$\psiv$\mid$\;<\;1\}\;and\;\{$\mid${\psi}_{\nu}$\mid$\;<\;0\}\;in\;M\;{\setminus}\;{\triangle},\;{\nu}\;\in\;{L_{+}}^1(\mu)$, respectively. It is proved that if $S(\mu)\;=\;{\partial\triangle}$, where $S(\mu)$ is the closed support set of $\mu$, then $R(\mu)\;=\;R0(\mu)\;=\;M{\setminus}({\triangle}\;{\cup}\;M(L^{\infty}(\partial\triangle)))$ is generated by $H^{\infty}\;and\;\overline{\psi_{\nu}},\;{\nu}\;{\in}\;{L_1}^{+}(\mu)$. It is proved that %d{\theta}(S(\mu))\;=\;0$ if and only if there exists as Blaschke product b with zeros $\{Zn\}_n$ such that $R(\mu)\;{\subset}\;{$\mid$b$\mid$\;<\;1}\;and\;S(\mu)$ coincides with the set of cluster points of $\{Zn\}_n$. While, we proved that $\mu$ is a sum of finitely many point measure such that $R(\mu)\;{\subset}\;\{$\mid${\psi}_{\lambda}$\mid$\;<\;1}\;and\;S(\lambda)\;=\;S(\mu)$. Also it is studied conditions on \mu for which $R(\mu)\;=\;R0(\mu)$.

The National Geographic Institute(NGI), a national mapping agency, has begun to digitalize national base maps to vitalize nation-wide GIS implementations. However, the NGI's cartographic database design reflects only paper map production and is considered inflexible for various applications. In order to suggest an appropriate data model and database implementation method, approaches of two mapping agencies are analyzed: the United State Geological Survey and Ordnance Survey in the United Kingdom One important finding from the analysis is that each data model is designed to achieve two production purposes in the same time : map and data. By taking advantageous features from the two approaches, an ideal model is proposed. To adapt the ideal model to tile present situation in Korean GIS community, a realistic model is generated, which is an 'SDTS-oriented' data model. Because SDTS will be a Korean data transfer standard, it will be a common basis in developing other data models for different purposes.

This paper describes the continuing effort to develope a single acting free-piston Stirling engine/alternator combination for use of the household cogeneration. Free piston Stirling engines(FPSE) use variations of working gas pressure to drive mechanically unconstrained reciprocating elements. Stirling cycle free-piston engines are driven by the Stirling thermodynamic cycle which is characterized by an externally heated device containing working gas that is continuously re-used in a regenerative, reversible cycle. The ideal cycle is described by two isothermal process connected by two constant volume processes. Heat removed during the constant volume cooling process is internally transferred to the constant volume heating process by mutual use of a thermal storage medium called the regenerator. Since the ideal cycle is reversible, the ideal efficiency is that of Carnot. Free-piston Stirling engine is have no crank and rotating parts to generate lateral forces and require lubrication. The FPSE is typically comprised of two oscillating pistons contained in a common cylinder. The temperature difference across the displacer maintains the oscillations, and the FPSE operate at natural frequency of the mass-spring system. The power is generated from a linear alternator. The purpose of this paper is to describe the design process of the single acting free-piston Stirling engine/alternator. Electrical output of the single acting free-piston Stirling engine/alternator is about 0.95 kW.
Relative humidity, membrane conductivity and water activity are critical parameters of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) for high performance and reliability. These parameters are closely related with temperature. Moreover, the ideal values of these parameters are not always identical along the channels. Therefore, the cooling channel design and its operating condition should be well optimized along the all location of the channels. In the present study, we have performed a numerical investigation on the effects of cooling channels on performance of a PEMFC. Three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations are solved with the energy equation including heat generated by the electrochemical reactions in the fuel cell. The present numerical model includes the gas diffusion layers (GDL) and serpentine channels for both anode and cathode gas flows, as well as cooling channels. To accurately predict the water transport across the membrane, the distribution of water content in the membrane is calculated by solving a nonlinear differential equation with a nonlinear coefficient, i.e., the water diffusivity which is a function of water content as well as temperature. Main emphasis is placed on the heat transfer between the solid bipolar plate and coolant flow. The present results show that local current density is affected by cooling channels due to the change of the oxygen concentration and the membrane conductivity as well as the water content. It is also found that the relative humidity is influenced by the generated water and the gas temperature and thus it affects the distribution of fuel concentration and the conductivity of the membrane, ultimately fuel cell performance. Unit-cell experiments are also carried out to validate the numerical models. The performance curves between the models and experiments show reasonable results.

Generally, integral image used for autostereoscopic 3d display is generated for flat lens array, but flat lens array cannot provide a wide range of view for generated integral image because of narrow range of view. To make up for this flat lens array's weak point, curved lens array has been proposed, and due to technical and cost problem, approximate surface lens array composed of several flat lens array is used instead of ideal curved lens array. In this paper, we constructed an approximate surface lens array arranged for $20{\times}8$ square flat lens in 100mm radius sphere, and we could get about twice angle of view compared to flat lens array. Specially, unlike existing researches which manually generate integral image, we propose an OpenCL GPU parallel process algorithm for generating real-time integral image. As a result, we could get 12-20 frame/sec speed about various 3D volume data from $15{\times}15$ approximate surface lens array.
Recently, as a result of increasing concern about eco-friendly power, the demand for the power stations using environmentally friendly powers such as photovoltaic energy, wind force, tidal power, and tidal current has been increasing worldwide. Among these power stations tidal current power plant requires strong current generated by the topographic characteristics of the ocean floor. Uldolmok waterway producing very strong current is an ideal location for a tidal current power generation. However the occurrence of anthropogenic underwater noise generated by the tidal current power station may affect the marine environment. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the noise radiated from the station and predict the range influenced by the radiated noise. In this paper, the measurements of radiated noise spectrum level by the tidal current power station are presented, and the source level per unit area is estimated. Finally, the propagation properties of the radiated noise in the Uldolmok waterway is evaluated from the model simulation using the parabolic equation method, RAM.

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is widely used because of high resolution imaging capability in all weather and day/night condition. In this paper development of Spotlight SAR simulator is proposed for image quality analysis. Proposed SAR simulator is based on the SAR system design parameters so that SAR image performance can be expected which is essential throughout the full system development procedure from the initial concept design stage to the final in-flight calibration and validation stage. The raw data of ideal point target is first generated by taking account of the flight and imaging geometry and the various SAR system design parameters, and the Spotlight image formation algorithm is implemented in order to obtain the point target response. Finally the image quality of the generated raw data is analyzed in terms of spatial resolution, peak to sidelobe ratio and integrated sidelobe ratio.

The non-linearity of HPA(high power amplifier) which is an important component in modern communications systems introduces AM/AM and AM/PM distortion so that the transmitted signal is deteriorated. And, the I/Q unbalances and phase error which are generated by non-ideal components are inevitable physical phenomena and lead to performance degradation when we implement a practical two-dimensional (2-D) modulation system. In this paper, we provide an exact and general expression involving the 2-D Gaussian Q-function for the error probabilities of arbitrary 2-D signaling with I/Q amplitude and phase unbalances in nonlinear additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels by using the coordinate rotation and shifting technique.

The I/Q unbalance which is generated by non-ideal components such as a $90^{\circ}$ phase shifter and I/Q filters is an inevitable physical phenomenon and leads to performance degradation when we implement a coherent two-dimensional (2-D) modulation/demodulation system. This paper provides an exact and general expression for the SEP(symbol error probability) of DVB-S2 system with I/Q phase and amplitude unbalance over AWGN channel. Coordinate rotation and shift techniques used to redefine a received signal are key mathematical tools. In conclusion, the derived result is expressed as a linear combination of the 2-D Gaussian Q-functions.
For an endomorphism $\alpha$ of a ring R, we introduce the weak $\alpha$-skew Armendariz rings which are a generalization of the $\alpha$-skew Armendariz rings and the weak Armendariz rings, and investigate their properties. Moreover, we prove that a ring R is weak $\alpha$-skew Armendariz if and only if for any n, the $n\;{\times}\;n$ upper triangular matrix ring $T_n(R)$ is weak $\bar{\alpha}$-skew Armendariz, where $\bar{\alpha}\;:\;T_n(R)\;{\rightarrow}\;T_n(R)$ is an extension of $\alpha$ If R is reversible and $\alpha$ satisfies the condition that ab = 0 implies $a{\alpha}(b)=0$ for any a, b $\in$ R, then the ring R[x]/($x^n$) is weak $\bar{\alpha}$-skew Armendariz, where ($x^n$) is an ideal generated by $x^n$, n is a positive integer and $\bar{\alpha}\;:\;R[x]/(x^n)\;{\rightarrow}\;R[x]/(x^n)$ is an extension of $\alpha$. If $\alpha$ also satisfies the condition that ${\alpha}^t\;=\;1$ for some positive integer t, the ring R[x] (resp, R[x; $\alpha$) is weak $\bar{\alpha}$-skew (resp, weak) Armendariz, where $\bar{\alpha}\;:\;R[x]\;{\rightarrow}\;R[x]$ is an extension of $\alpha$.
