베하스(BeHaS)운동프로그램이 집단시설 거주 노인의 근력과 유연성에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of BeHaS Exercise Program on Muscle Strength and Flexibility in Institutionalized Elders)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of the BeHaS exercise program, developed by Jong Im Kim (2006), consisting of exercise, education and cognitive support on muscle strength and flexibility in elders who live in elderly facilities. Method: This study was designed using one group pretest-posttest experimental design, 19 elders, the subjects of the group participated in the BeHaS exercise program. The BeHaS exercise program was provided for 60-80 minutes per session once a week for 8 weeks. Data was collected by research assistants using structured interview and measurement tool, from January, 2011 to March, 2011. Data were analyzed using the SPSS Win 17.0, general characteristics were analyzed with real number and percentage, muscle strength and flexibility were analyzed with Mean and SDs. Results: There were significant increase pre and post test for the left shoulder flexibility (p=.000) and waist flexibility (p=.030). Conclusion: In conclusion, this study confirms that BeHaS exercise program played a useful role in partial improving flexibility in the Institutionalized Elders.

Changes in satisfaction and perceptions of employment decisions after clinical training among physiotherapy students

  • Purpose: To investigate the satisfaction of students majoring in physiotherapy and to confirm a change of perception on employment decisions after clinical training. Methods: Structured questionnaires were distributed to 500 undergraduate physiotherapy students in 2014. Data from 462 respondents were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney, Kruskal-Wallis, Wilcoxon's signed-rank, stepwise regression, and independent samples t tests. Design: Cross-section study Results: The satisfaction and perceptions of employment decision increased post-clinical training among physiotherapy students who hoped to find employment. After clinical training, the desired employment venues also changed: fewer students desired to work in rehabilitation centers and secondary hospitals, and more desired to work in university hospitals, general hospitals, public welfare centers, and the industrial company health facilities. There were changes in the preferred fields of those who hoped to find employment in the field, as well. There was decreased interest in clinical electrophysiology, sports, and women's health, and increased interest in neurology, orthopedics, and pediatrics. Conclusion: The results of this study confirmed that clinical training changes student' employment decisions and affects their desire to enter specific fields.

병원영양사의 직무만족요인에 대한 조사연구 (A Study on the Factors of Job Satisfaction of the Dietitians Working in Hospitals)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the degrees and the influence factors of job satisfaction of dietitians working in hospitals in relation to performance of duty in their works and to provide effective management of hospital dietitians for high quality health and food service in hospital. The questionaire was prepared with reference to the previous studies on job satisfaction of dietitians working in hospitals throughout the nation. 201 dietitians in the country were surveyed. The period of research was from January 20 to February 28, 1995. The results are as follows. 1) In regard to the degree of job satisfaction of hospital dietitians, they showed the highest degree of job satisfaction in the relationships with fellow dietitians followed by worth and self-confidence, aptitude and interests, relationships with cooks, job stability, degree of recognition of the dietitians competence, supervision of the superiors, degree of application of professional knowledge, work load, wage level, degree of recognition of the importance of duty, cooperative relationships with load, wage level, degree of recognition of the importance of duty, cooperative relationships with doctors, degree of performance of clinical work, the number of dietitians, the prromotion system, and welfare system in that order. On the other hand, they showed the highest dissatisfaction with food service facilities. 2) The influence factors on job satisfaction are as follows. (1) Wage factor : Shorter weekday working hours and higher bonuses make greaster job satisfaction (R2=0.3115). (2) Working condition factor : Larger number of monthly holidays(R2=0.5142), shorter weekday working hours(R2=0.1077), longer previous food service experience and computer utilization (R2=0.1432) make greater job satisfaction. (3) Welfare factor : Welfare system (R2=0.4132) and promotion system (R2=0.1624) have to do with computer utilization. Job stability has to do with marital status and computer utilization (R2=0.1165). consequently, those married dietitians who use computers show higher job satisfaction. (4) Human relationship factor : Smaller mumber of patients receiving food makes greater job satisfaction (R2=0.1334). (5) Superivision factor : Shorter weekday working hours and larger number of monthly holidays make greater job satisfaction (R2=0.1709). (6) Achievement factor : Marriage, larger number of dietitians(R2=9.2293), age, larger number of monthly holiday, higher monthly wages and computer utiliazation (R2=0.1088) make greater job satisfaction. (7) Speciality factor : Marriage, longer current hospital tenure, higher position and working in seoul(R2=0.1142) make higher job satisfaction. (8) Job inclination factor : working in general hospitals rather than in oriental hispitals, working in seoul(R2=0.1776) and better bonuses(R2=0.1078)make greater job satisfaction. As a result, the following is suggested for the job satisfaction of hospital dietitions on the basis of this study : hospital dietitians can achieve miximum job satisfaction through smooth relationships with coworkers, and the responsible managers should improve welfare and working conditions for the job satisfaction of hospital dietitians.

경기 북부지역 복지시설 이용노인의 급식 현황 및 만족도 조사 (Foodservice Characteristics and Satisfaction of the Elderly with the Welfare Facilities in the Northern Gyeonggi-do Area)

  • 본 연구의 조사대상자인 경기 북부(의정부, 양주, 동두천)에 거주하는 노인을 성별을 기준으로 구분하여 노인의 급식 서비스 이용 현황 및 만족도를 조사하였다. 일반적 특성을 보면, 평균 연령은 76.7세이며, 남성과 여성이 각각 35.7, 64.3%, 배우자 사별은 남자노인은 46.9%, 여자노인은 85.0%로 나타났다. 학력은 중학교졸 이하가 전체의 88.1%로 대다수를 차지하였고, 과거 직업은 대부분 무직(33.6%)이거나 자영업(13.4%)에 종사하였다. 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 78.1, 79.2%로 비교적 자유로운 일상 활동이 가능하였고, 건강정보 출처는 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 건강전문가(49.0, 45.7%), 대중매체(34.4, 33.5%)의 순이었고, 건강정보 출처 신뢰도 역시 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 건강전문가(65.6, 59.8%), 대중매체(19.5, 20.8%)의 순이었다. 운동 횟수는 남자노인은 '1주일에 1~2회'(43.8%), '매일'(21.9%)의 순이었으나, 여자노인은 '거의 하지 않는다'가 63.0%로 가장 많다고 응답하여 성별에 따른 차이를 보였다. 노인들이 현재 앓고 있는 질환은 남자노인은 '고혈압'(27.1%), '당뇨병'(21.9%), '뇌졸중'(19.8%)의 순이었고, 여자노인은 '고혈압'(32.4%), '당뇨병'(24.9%), '관절염'(15.0%)의 순으로 응답하였다. 급식서비스를 이용하는 이유로는 남자노인은 '혼자 차려먹기 귀찮아서'(28.1%), '친구를 만날 수 있어서'(25.0%), '경제적인 이유'(14.6%)의 순이었으나, 여자노인은 '경제적인 이유'(25.4%), '친구를 만날 수 있어서'(23.1%), '혼자 차려먹기 귀찮아서'(23.1%)의 순으로 응답하였다. 노인의 복지시설 급식서비스의 시행을 알게 된 경위는 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 전체의 36.5, 68.8%가 '집 가까이 있어서' 자연스럽게 알게 되었고, 30.2, 8.7%가 '가족의 소개로 알게 되었다고 응답하였으며, 남자노인과 여자노인의 65.6, 43.4%가 질환별 급식서비스가 '필요하다'고 응답하였다. 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 전체의 56.3, 72.3%, 52.1, 86.7%, 53.1, 89.6%가 급식의 맛, 위생 상태, 온도가 '만족한다'고 응답하여, 특히 여자노인의 만족도가 남자보인보다 훨씬 더 높다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 복지 시설 만족도는 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 전체의 78.1, 69.9%가 '만족한다'고 응답하였고, 이들 중 만족한다고 응답한 노인들을 대상으로 조사한 만족 이유로는 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 '식사를 제공하여서'(28.0, 37.2%), '노인들과 어울려 노는 것이 좋아서'(20.0, 22.3%), '시설이 좋아서'(18.7, 18.2%)의 순으로 응답하였다. 시설종사자 만족도는 '기타 및 무응답'이 남자노인과 여자노인 각각 49.3, 67.8%이었으며, 남자노인은 '시설 행정직원'(13.3%), '간호사'(9.3%), 여자노인은 '간호사'(12.4%), '시설 행정직원'(8.3%)의 순으로 응답하였다. 이상과 같은 결과들을 토대로 복지 관련 시설을 이용하는 노인들의 급식 및 복지서비스의 향상을 위한 기초자료로 제공 및 활용하고, 향후 경기 북부 실버산업의 활성화를 도모하고자 하였다.

Social Adaption of Persons With Spinal Cord Injury by Modified Barthel Index

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the general characteristics, complications and level of social adaptation of spinal cord injured patients. The subjects were one hundred forty five members who were inpatients or outpatients from October 1, 2004 to April 30, 2005 in general hospitals and municipal welfare centers for the handicapped located in the metropolitan city of Gwangju. The following results were obtained using Modified Barthel Index (MBI). 1) Gender distribution was 77.9% male and 22.1% female. The mean age at the time of injury was 35.4 and the mean age during the study was 44.2. 2) The degree of paralysis among the subjects was as follows: 49.0% had complete paralysis and 51.0% suffered incomplete paralysis. The most frequently injured lesion among the subjects was cervical (49.0%), followed by thoracic (35.9%), and lumbar (15.2%). 3) The mean MBI score was 63.5. There was statistically significant difference in the MBI score in the relation between complete and incomplete paralysis, the relation between cervical, thoracic, and lumbar injury, and the relation between a recovery period of less than three years and more than three years according to the characteristics of injury (p<.05). 4) There was statistically significant difference in the MBI score of subjects who had complications concerning spasticity, deformity, urinary tract infection, and sexual dysfunction (p<.05). 5) The most serious emotional pain after spinal cord injury resulted from economic issues, which affected 35.2% of the subjects. The group having a shorter recovery period after spinal cord injury complained of psychological matters, the group having a longer recovery period complained about the surrounding environment (lack of convenient facilities), suggesting statistically significant difference (p<.05). 6) The most common activities of the group with injuries more than ten years old included meeting schoolmates and working, while most common activities of the group with injuries less than three years old included attending religious functions and miscellaneous others (watching TV, spending time with family), suggesting statistically significant difference (p<.05).

한국 물리치료사들의 근무 현황조사 (A Survey on Working Present Status of Physical Therapiests in Korea)

  • The purpose of this article is to identify real problems and to have a view of the future in Korean physical therapy of it through the survey. Moreover we make a statement for the justification acquiring the rights of practing Physical therapiests with this fundamental data. The survey was conduced on 368 employed physical therapiests males 164. tamale 190 in korea from April t to 30 in 1998 with self-administered questionnaire. The following results were obtained : 1. Of the 323 cases, $121(37.46\%)$ work in local clinics, $55(17.02\%)$ in hospitals, $103(31.89\%)$ in general hospital and $21(9.60\%)$ in rehabilitation centers or public welfare facilities. 2. In investigation of annual salary, the most common annual salary was more than 20million won in male$(22.61\%)$ and $12\~14$million won in female$(35.36\%)$ 3. The age group of $27\~29$ years accounted for $32.32\%$ in male and $24\~20$ years accounted for $46.77\%$ in female of the total physical therapiests are the highest. 4. In job satisfaction, $44.5\%$ of physical therapiests who work in general hospital are generally satisfied and $25\%$ are 5. The periods of clinical practice for which physical therapiests expect to devote are 164$(44,81\%)$ consider less than 10years, and $67(18.31\%)$ expect 20years. 6. The problems of physical therapy system in korea are deviated administration of a cantral executive committee$(39.94\%)$ and excessive production of resistered physical therapiests.

의사결정나무분석에 의한 공과대학 졸업생의 첫 일자리 만족도 결정요인 탐색 (Exploration of the Factors Determining Satisfaction in First Job of Graduates from Engineering College by Decision Tree Analysis)

  • The first job of university graduates is the beginning of career development, and it has a great influence on a personal life in the transition process of a labor market later. The study has compared and analyzed the effects of major variables (whether or not one participates in the career and employment programs, the satisfaction in the education infrastructure and curriculum) related to university education that determine the satisfaction in the first job of graduates from the entire university of 4-year general courses and the engineering college with experiences of having the first job. Through this, it is meaningful to make it possible for the design of university education related to career and employment tailored to the engineering college. The results of 2017 Graduate Occupational Mobility Survey were used as the data for analysis, which was analyzed by the decision tree analysis. As it was found that the most important factor determining the satisfaction in the first job was student welfare facilities for the entire graduates among education infrastructure and was major curriculum and its content among education curriculum for the graduates from the engineering college, it was analyzed that factors related to majors were more important compared to other majors in the engineering college. The customized major curriculum and content should be considered as a priority, taking into account of the demand of the industry for the successful settlement of graduates from the engineering college in a labor market.

장애인ㆍ노인ㆍ임산부등의 편의 증진시설 실태조사 리스트 개발연구 -공공건물을 중심으로 (A Study on Developing the List of Actual Condition Research to Improve the Facilities for the handicapped, aged men, pregnant women and nursing mother - a focus on public building -)

  • 장애인 편의시설에 관한 본격적인 관심은 1988년 서울 장애인올림픽대회를 계기로 장애인의 물리적 환경개선에 대한 욕구가 높아지고 장애인복지법이 전면 개정되어 편의시설 설치조항이 구체화된 1990년도 초부터라고 할 수 있다. 그러나, 최근 들어 서구의 유니버설 디자인개념의 확산과 함께 장애인 편의시설의 설치방향에 대한 새로운 개념정립이 필요하다는 목소리가 높아졌다. 즉, 장애인을 독립적인 주제로 다루는 물리적 환경은 그들의 요구를 만족시키기보다는 오히려 비장애인으로부터 격리시키게 되고 그들의 차별감을 가중시키는 결과를 낳았으며, 장애인 편의시설은 장애인전용 보다는 장애인을 포함한 모든 사람들에게 접근의 자유를 보장한다는 원칙에서 출발하여야 한다는 것이다. 최근 제정 시행되고 있는 '장애인 노인 임산부 등의 편의증진 보장에 관한 법률(1998)'은 이러한 움직임을 반영하기 위하여, 적용 대상을 장애인뿐만 아니라 노인, 임산부 등으로 확대하였고 장애인들도 비장애인들이 이용하는 시설과 설비를 안전하고 편리하며 동등하게 이용하도록 하여 이들의 사회참여를 증진시켜야 함을 명확히 밝히고 있다. 또한, 장애인들이 다양한 유형의 차별에 대해 직접 상담을 의뢰, 당사자들의 권리의식이 높아지는 등 당사자들의 적극적인 참여가 높아지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나, 편의시설의 설치수가 급속히 증대됨에도 불구하고 대부분의 편의시설이 양적 및 질적으로 기본적 수준을 갖추고 있지 못해, 장애인들의 일상생활의 생활반경을 축소시키며 그들의 사회활동을 저해하는 요인으로 작용하고 있다. 또한, 우리나라의 공공건물을 볼 때 장애인 노인 임산부 등에 활동에 시설적 부적절함이 현실이다. 따라서, 본 연구는 공공건물 이용 시 발생되는 시설적 부적절함을 조사할 수 있는 실태조사리스트를 개발하여 시설 특성에 대한 개선요구를 체계적이고 심층적으로 파악함으로써 공공건물 편의시설 관리기준 방향들을 제시하고자 한다.

대학생 자원봉사자의 PGA 정규 투어 프로골프대회 참여 만족·불만족 귀납적 내용분석에 따른 제도적 개선 방안 (Systematic improvement method depending on analysis of inductive contents on university volunteers'satisfaction & dissatisfaction on participating in stipulated PGA pro-golf competitions)

  • 본 연구는 PGA 정규 투어 남자프로골프대회에 자원봉사자로 참석한 대학생들의 참여 만족과 불만족에 대한 귀납적 분석 방법을 통하여 내용을 분석 후 결과를 도출하였다. 본 연구의 대상자는 2019년 "2019 더 CJ컵@나인브릿지 골프대회에 자원봉사자로 참여한 대학생을 대상으로 실시하였으며, 300명의 응답자 중 설문내용이 충실하지 못하다고 판단되는 76부를 제외한 224부를 내용분석 하였다. 먼저 참여 만족의 전체 세부영역인 408개의 원자료를 중심으로 2차 귀납적 범주분석을 실시하여 전체 10개의 세부영역과 5개의 일반영역으로 범주화하였다. 구체적으로 살펴보면, 첫째, "골프대회 경험만족"은 골프대회, 골프정보, 골프장으로 구분되었다. 둘째, "선수만족"은 직접관람, 유명선수로 구분되었으며, 셋째, "환경만족"은 장소만족, 시설만족으로 구분되었고, 넷째, "참여만족"은 봉사만족, 유능감 만족으로 구분되었다. 마지막으로 "대인관계 만족"은 세부영역과 동일하게 적용하여 구분하였다. 참여 불만족의 경우 전체 세부영역인 369개의 원자료를 중심으로 2차 귀납적 범주분석을 실시하여 전체 10개의 세부영역과 3개의 일반영역으로 범주화하였다. 구체적으로 살펴보면, 첫째, "대회운영 시스템 불만족"은 세부적으로 업무 체계 불만, 운영 체계 불만, 관리 체계 불만, 전달 체계 불만으로 구분되었다. 둘째, "자원봉사 처우 불만족"은 자원봉사 처우 불만, 업무과다 불만, 근무시간 불만으로 구분되었으며, 셋째, "자원봉사 복지 불만족"은 식음료 불만, 복장불만, 부대시설 불만으로 구분되었다.

물리치료사의 근무실태와 직무만족 및 직장애착 (Working Conditions, Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment of Physical Therapists)

  • The main objective of this paper is to examine the working conditions of physical therapists and to investigate the level of job satisfaction and organizational commitment under different working conditions. A survey was conducted through structured questionnaire for the physical therapists working in Busan area, and data from 175 therapists were utilized in the final analysis. Survey items included general characteristics of the therapists(sex, age, education, marital status, religion, income, career years, etc.), their working conditions(kinds of organizations they work in, location of PT room, weekly working hours, average number of patients, number of co-workers, equipments/facilities, etc.), and organizational effectiveness measured in terms of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Major results are as follows: 1) As for the general characteristics of the surveyed physical therapists, male(51.4$\%$) slightly exceeded female(48.6$\%$) and majority(more than 90$\%$) was 20-39 in age. Also, there were more single(57.7$\%$) than married(42.3$\%$), and 54.9$\%$ of the respondents had religion while 45.1$\%$ did not. In terms of the ranks in their organizations, only a few of them(6.9$\%$) were managers, and monthly salary mostly ranged from $\₩$1,000,000 to $\₩$2,500,000. More than half of them worked in various kinds of hospitals, with the remaining in health centers or social welfare institutions. 2) In regard to the working conditions of the respondents, 19.4$\%$ of PT rooms were located in basement areas while the remaining 80.6$\%$ in first to third floors. 34.3$\%$ of them treated 15 patients or less per day, whereas 25.1$\%$ treated 31 patients or more. Also, 52$\%$ recorded physical therapy charts periodically. As for the equipments and facilities, 25.1$\%$ felt 'sufficient' and 40$\%$'insufficient.' 3) The respondents provided various kinds of suggestions for the improvement of their working conditions, where the most important were 'salary raise' and 'reduction of working hours.' In addition, their requests to the PT Association included 'permission of opening of independent practice,' 'permission of legal specialty,' and 'vitalization of the Association.' 4) The comparative analysis of job satisfaction and organizational commitment among different characteristics of the respondents revealed that there was no significant difference between male and female, but in terms of age, the group of 40 or older was highest in both aspects. Besides, therapists who had 15 or more years of hospital career reported higher job satisfaction and organizational commitment than the others. It was also found that the level of organizational commitment increased as the rank of the respondents got higher. There were no significant differences in terms of marital status and religion. 5) Comparison with regard to working conditions showed that therapists employed in university hospitals, health centers and social welfare institutions felt higher job satisfaction and organizational commitment than those in community hospitals and clinics. Also, respondents who worked in basement areas had significantly lower job satisfaction than otherwise. The length of weekly working hours did not really affect the level of job satisfaction, but it was important to maintain 'regular working hours' for the hospitals to improve the employees' organizational commitment. As for the number of patients per day, 'medium level' (21-25 patients) had highest scores in both aspects. And, finally, sufficiency of equipments and facilities was found to be important for the improvement of organizational commitment.
