  • We present the computer table tennis game using player's swing motion. We need to transform a real world coordinate into a virtual world coordinate in order to hit the virtual ball. We can not get a correct 3-dimension position of racket in environment that using one camera or simple image processing. Therefore we use Augmented Reality (AR) concept to develop the game. This paper shows the AR table tennis game using gesture and method to develop the 3D interaction game that only using one camera without any motion detection device or stereo cameras. Also, we use a scan line method to recognize gesture for speedy processing. The game is developed using ARtoolkit and DirectX that is popular tool of SDK for game development.

This game engine is used for its own development, but usually it is used by renting a commercial engine. To be able to use such a game engine requires a lot of theoretical and functional education, but in a limited period of university education, it is impossible to deal with various game engines in game art colleges, not general engineering universities. This paper will compare and analyze the characteristics, and merits and demerits of these two kinds of Game engines (Unity and Unreal engine), and showed the result of analyses about the fact that educating which of the above 2 Game engines are helpful and beneficial for the students for the efficient education in the Art college where should teach much in the limited time.

  • Visual art elements can most intuitively express the information expressed by a game character and play an important role in shaping a successful game character. We compares and analyzes the role design in the skins of the "Five Tiger-like Generals" series in Glory of Kings in terms of color, line, graphic and other visual elements. Different visual elements form different visual impacts and influences, which brings people different psychological feelings and presents different emotional colors. The reasonable use of visual elements gives people a refined visual experience and a comfortable psychological feeling, adding more influencing factors to the "immersion" of the game. It not only can strongly attract the attention and love of players, but also spreads traditional culture of the nation and the country. Therefore, whether the visual art elements of a game character can be appropriately used is an important part of the success of the game work. The analysis of visual art elements of game characters has important learning and research value.
