  • Game theory is a method of mathematical analysis developed to study the decision making process. In 1928, Von Neumann mathematically proved that every two-person, zero-sum game with many pure finite strategies for each player is deterministic. In the early 50's, Nash presented another concept as the basis for a generalization of Von Neumann's theorem. Another central achievement of game theory is the introduction of evolutionary game theory, by which agents can play optimal strategies in the absence of rationality. Through the process of Darwinian selection, a population of agents can evolve to an Evolutionary Stable Strategy (ESS) as introduced by Maynard Smith in 1982. Keeping pace with these game theoretical studies, the first computer simulation of coevolution was tried out by Hillis. Moreover, Kauffman proposed the NK model to analyze coevolutionary dynamics between different species. He showed how coevolutionary phenomenon reaches static states and that these states are either Nash equilibrium or ESS in game theory. Since studies concerning coevolutionary phenomenon were initiated, there have been numerous other researchers who have developed coevolutionary algorithms. In this paper we propose a new coevolutionary algorithm named Game theory based Coevolutionary Algorithm (GCEA) and we confirm that this algorithm can be a solution of evolutionary problems by searching the ESS. To evaluate this newly designed approach, we solve several test Multiobjective Optimization Problems (MOPs). From the results of these evaluations, we confirm that evolutionary game can be embodied by the coevolutionary algorithm and analyze the optimization performance of our algorithm by comparing the performance of our algorithm with that of other evolutionary optimization algorithms.

  • In this paper, two kinds of controller are proposed for a soccer robot system.. One for Supervisor and defense mode, and the other for attack mode. Robot soccer game has very dynamic characteristics. Furthermore, there exist competitions between agents. The soccer-playing robot should take an appropriate action according to its surroundings. Initially, an attack mode controller using a vector field concept is designed, then a supervisor and a defense mode controller are designed with a Petri-net. The efficiency and applicability of the proposed controllers are demonstrated through a real robot soccer game(MiroSot 97).

  • In this paper, we first introduce a generalized concept of Berge strong equilibrium for a generalized game $\mathcal{G}=(X_i;T_i,f_i)_{i{\in}I}$ of normal form, and using a fixed point theorem for compact acyclic maps in admissible convex sets, we establish the existence theorem of generalized Berge strong equilibrium for the game $\mathcal{G}$ with acyclic values. Also, we have demonstrated by examples that our new approach is useful to produce generalized Berge strong equilibria.

  • For finding the optimal strategy in Blackout game which was introduced in the homepage of popular mono "Beautiful mind", we develope a mathematical proof and an algorithm with a software. We only use the concept of basis and knowledge of basic linear algebra. This process can be extended to the fullsize Go table problem and shows why we have to study mathematics at the college level.

  • Currently, for teenagers, the metaverse is becoming an important space for communication and experience. Due to the development of AI technology, experiences in the metaverse space are diversifying, which means that experiences in the virtual world can affect the real self. Therefore, this study attempted to examine the necessity of establishing a new concept of empathy across the metaverse for the AI era. In accordance with literature studies related to empathy, one was confirmed that the concept of empathy has been changing according to social ideas in times. In addition, with the result of the analysis of recent research trends, it was considered that the current study of empathy is generally taking a view as a measure of 'upright sociality.' In the end, this study suggest the necessity of redefined empathy in order to cultivate upright sociality in the metaverse.

  • This Study analyzes dynamic of a puzzle game play by applying entropy law. Entropy is a concept that a quantitative measure of the amount of thermal energy not available to do work in a closed system. And amount of entropy can be measured only if we see the closed system as whole, the field. Puzzle game is also closed system. When player moves an object in game, it change a relationship among objects in play field. In , through an act of position change, player sustains a play field active. In respect of an entropy, this kind of play is considered as pursue of usability of the energy. In , player piles up objects without empty space. In respect of an entropy, this kind of play is considered as pursue of the order. Likewise, puzzle game play can be considered as simulation of a human's pursue of the order in an entropy increasing physical world. And this pursue is a driving force of puzzle game play.

  • Building a game has been used as effective and attractive way of teaching computer science. Building a usable Multi-player Game is requires important aspects of technology, teamwork and software engineering principles. The whole class was structured in to several teams and students needed to join one or two teams. Each team presented their progress, discussed future milestones and troubleshoots, updated documents for clearer communication and utilized SVN(Subversion) throughout the semester. Unlike usual class setting, all students worked collaboratively together like one company to achieve the goal. In one semester, students started from concept design and completed a working Multiplayer Online Game called "deBugger" (Fall 2009), and "World of Balance" (Fall 2011), while learning game design, 3D graphics, Game Engine, Server-client architecture, Game Protocol, network programming, database, Software Engineering principles, and large application development as a team project.

  • In this paper, we examined the concept of three types of double loot box respectively and analyzed each characteristics of double loot box by game case study. Those types are divided into the following three cases; 1) Double-mileage gacha 2) Double-limited period gacha 3) Kompu gacha. As the result, Double loot boxs are characterized as below: 1) Double loot box has a tendency to combine various type of loot boxes. 2) Double loot box's reward is hard to gain in game, or not to sell in game store. With these features, double loot box could be a gambling sales strategy. To solve this problem, this study suggested that it is essential to revise game self-regulations, enhance the professionalism of monitoring groups, and propel the self-effort of game companies.
