  • This paper presents a GA-based fuzzy modelling scheme of nonlinear systems. The fuzzy model is a type of the Sugeno-Tagaki's fuzzy model whose consequence parts are described by a linear continuous dynamic equation as subsystem of a nonlinear system. The centers and width of the membership functions of the fuzzy sets defined over the input space and the orders and parameters of subsystems in the consequence parts are adjusted by a genetic algorithm. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified

  • In this paper, an observer-based decentralized fuzzy controller is designed for discrete-time interconnected fuzzy systems. Based on the fuzzy subsystem of the interconnected fuzzy system, the observer-based decentralized fuzzy controller is considered. By using the fuzzy subsystem and the observer-based decentralized fuzzy controller, the closed-loop system is obtained. From the closed-loop system, the stability condition with the maximum interconnection bound is developed, and its sufficient condition is represented as the linear matrix inequality (LMI). Finally, the numerical example is provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed technique.

  • This paper is a study about the relationships among topologies and intuitionistic fuzzy topology induced, respectively, by approximation operators and an intuitionistic fuzzy approximation operator associated with an approximation space (X, R), when the relation R on X is precisely reflexive and transitive. In particular, we consider an intuitionistic fuzzy approximation operator on an approximation space X (i.e., a set X with a reflexive and transitive relation on it), which turns out to be an intuitionistic fuzzy closure operator. This intuitionistic fuzzy closure operator gives rise to two saturated fuzzy topologies on X and it turns out that all the level topologies of one of the fuzzy topology coincide and equal to the topology analogously induced on X by a crisp approximation operator. These observations are then applied to intuitionistic fuzzy automata.

  • This paper presents the linearized fuzzy modeling technique of nonlinear dynamical system and the stability analysis of fuzzy control system. Firstly, the nonlinear system is partitionized by multiple linear fuzzy subcontrol systems based on fuzzy linguistic variables and fuzzy rules. Secondly, the disturbance adaptaion controllers which guarantee the global asymptotic stability of each fuzzy subsystem by an optimal feedback control law are designed and the stability analysis procedures of the total fuzzy control system using Lyapunov functions and eigenvalues are discussed in detail through a given illustrative example.

  • This paper describes a methodology of mobile robot navigation which is designed to carry heavy payloads at high speeds to be used in FMS(Flexible Manufacturing System) without human control. Intelligent control scheme using fuzzy logic is applied to the navigation control. It analyzes sensor readings from multi-sensor system, which is composed of ultrasonic sensors, infrared sensors and odometer, for environment learning, planning, landmark detecting and system control. And it is implemented on a physical robot, AGV(Autonomous Guided Vehicle) which is a two-wheeled, indoor robot. An on-board control software is composed of two subsystems, i.e., AGV control subsystem and Sensor control subsystem. The results show that the navigation of the AGV is robust and flexible, and a real-time control is possible.

  • In this paper, we proposed a decoupled adaptive fuzzy sliding-mode control scheme in designing the SMC of a class of fourth-order nonlinear systems. These systems are decoupled the whole system into two second-order systems such that each subsystem has a separate control target expressed in terms of a sliding surface. Then, information from the secondary target conditions the main target, which, in turn, generates a control action to make both subsystem move toward their sliding surface. respectively, and Two sets of fuzzy rule bases are utilized to represent the equivalent control input with unknown system functions of the main target, The membership functions of the THEN-part. which is used to construct a suitable equivalent control of SMC. are changed according to adaptive law, Under this design scheme, we not only maintain the distribution of membership functions over state space but also reduce considerably computing time, we apply the decoupled adaptive sliding-mode control to control a nonlinear inverted pendulum system and confirms the validity of the proposed approach.

  • This paper presents a scheme for continuous-time fuzzy modelling of nonlinear systems, based on the adjustment technique and the genetic algorithm technque. The fuzzy model is characterized by fuzzy "If-then" rules whcih represent locally linear input-output relations whose consequence part is defined as subsystem of a nonlinear system. To compute the final output and deal with the initialization and unmeasurable signal problems in on-line estimatio of the fuzzy model, a discrete-time model is obtaned. Then the parameters of both the premis and consequence of the fuzzy model are adjusted on-line by a genetic algorithm. A simulation work is carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.ed method.

  • The mission life of a satellite determines the amount of fuel required on-board, while the total mass requirement limits the fuel to be loaded. Hence, for the design of thruster control loop, not only the satellite pointing accuracy but the saving of fuel is to be considered. In this paper, a two-step fuzzy controller is proposed for the thruster control loop to save fuel consumption. This approach combines requirements for pointing control accuracy with minimum fuel consumption into a fuzzy controller design. To demonstrate this approach, we have designed a fuzzy controller for the Sun point Mode of KOMPSAT-2. The performance of this fuzzy controller design is compared with that of PD controller used for KOMPSAT-2.
