  • The implementation of ESG practices in the fashion industry has been accelerating, and its significance has been growing across all industries. This paper aims to examine the strategies for ESG implementation in domestic fashion brands and analyze how ESG principles are applied in the context of domestic conscious fashion. To analyze conscious fashion as a means of ESG implementation, the evaluation criteria of ESG from the Textile Fashion Policy Research Institute were utilized as analytical tools. As a result, five categories of domestic conscious fashion emerged: animal-free vegan fashion, eco-friendly plant-based vegan materials, upcycled fashion, regenerated fiber fashion utilizing waste materials, and fair trade fashion. The characteristics of these ESG practices in conscious fashion were identified with four key features. Firstly, the adoption of environmentally friendly materials demonstrates a tendency towards resource conservation, minimizing environmental degradation, and protecting ecosystems. Secondly, technology-driven circular practices are predominant in vegan and upcycled types, evident in the development of fashion materials and secondhand content. Thirdly, design practices based on scarcity incorporate characteristics of upcycling and fair trade. Lastly, the practices of social and ethical values underlie the philosophies of three types of conscious fashion. With the acceleration of ESG practices in the fashion industry and the increasing importance thereof, it is expected that domestic conscious fashion in South Korea will diversify in the future.

  • At the outset, surrealism starts from pure art, but surrealism has greatly influenced commercial art and fashion circles, more so than any other genre of art. The critical thinking methods of surrealism and its mode of expression continues to influence fashion theory extensively. Even now, surrealism may be found in the designs presented in fashion circles and is still expected for future lines. Surrealism in modern fashion has been reborn, newly integrated and transformed, based on the features of Surrealism paintings. The characteristics of its forms can be found in a combination of modern material, modern design and new skills and the classical items : bodyform molding context of architecture, experimental and sex-appealing of body. Expression was made by borrowing natural motives and recreating natural fabrics while the existing typical idea about clothes was destructed, with the boundary of patterns changed. Expression was also made by mixing items, uniting future images, and using up-to-date functional techniques. This study is significant that up-to-date technological culture expands cyber-space and increases surrealistic expressions by combined heterogeneous materials, thus arousing much interest. The purpose of this study is to determine interrelationship between how surrealism developed and what formative properties those clothes affected by surrealism obtained in the 1990s.

  • In future what kind of costume do we wear\ulcorner We can guess it is in advance through movie. Movie is a comnipresent medium and a mode of expression that reflect a distintive feature of the times like fashion. In many case costume design which belongs to a special era is based on the historic costumes but ostume design for future movie depends on the creativity of costume designer and director. Therefore it is interesting to research how costume designer get his/her design concept for future ccostume in movie how he/hse express his/her design concept through his/her costume and can we convince the design comes true practically in future. In this study I analyze the costume design of masterpieces among SF Film: (Metropolis/1926) (2001: A Space Odyssey/1968) (Star Wars/1977) (Blade Runner/1982) (The 5th Element/1977) Because this study is analyzed not through the original article but just through movie it has some limitation in exact materials or color.

Time-space compression makes the meaning of time and space change, therefore the past, present and future are coexist in the contemporary fashion design. The boundaries has loosed, so, heterogeneous materials and colors are used in fashion design all together. Variety and plurality affect expression of individuality and self-concept. • Born in the 19th century as an intermediate between the past and the future, steampunk provides a strong feeling of fantasy. The objective of this research is to understand the utilization of steampunk in all realms through an in-depth literature review and empirical study. Taking the findings as a foundation, we will analyze examples shown in fashion designs that are put into real production, and those designs that can provide inspiration for further design development. The research methodology will constitute a major analysis of advanced research, internet materials, and literature. Photo materials will be collected from professional websites for steampunk. The product method such as follows. Firstly, we will classify the internal meaning of characteristics in steampunk that are similar to the characteristics that are being researched, then take it as the standard and arrange to integrate all five features: restoration, pluralism, duplicity, resistibility and abnormality. We will spread out the design based on images from advanced research. Secondly, in order for to design a steampunk product, I decided on four themes: devastated environment, brutal wars, cool-headed machinery, and the overlap of the future and the past. Inspiration was acquired from representative movies and animations featuring steampunk. Thus, new directions for fashion design with steampunk features can be discovered. It raises the feasibility of this combination in modern society. In the future with the development of technology, it functions as a design that is easy for users to approach.

  • The purpose of the present study was to improve the artistic qualities in the future fashion design by investigating how the art to wear was applied to the inspiration in the modern fashion design in the late 1990s. For this purpose the present paper examined characteristics in art to wear and their impact on modern fashion design in the late 1990s. Distinguished from the traditional costume, art to wear disregarded a fixed concept on design elements such as the socio-cultural images, materials, and forms. The artists in art to wear freely expressed their "selves" and their individuality to their works in a variety of ways. In fashion design in the late 1990s the creative characteristics of art to wear were reflected in four ways: (1) eco-look, (2) humor, (3) deformation, (4) materials. The present study suggests that the creativity of the art to wear can establish the potentials and possibility in modern fashion design, and art to wear can be a crucial mediator in opening art into the real world.

  • The study aims to evaluate changes in textiles for automotive interior and suggest directions that the textile-development should take in order to achieve sustainability, and enter a circular economy system in the future. The main content and results of the study are as follows: First, we cover the overall sustainability study in the fashion and textile fields; in particular, the certification system is well established through the provision of information on the whereabouts of products to consumers and verification by external environmental auditors. Second, we considered the criteria of C2C in order to derive the necessary criteria for sustainability certification in the field of textiles. Third, we looked at the latest development trends of textile materials for automobile interiors which were divided into three categories: natural originated materials, circular economic consideration materials, and functional supplementary lightweight materials. In addition, we identified to what extent the trend of changes aggregated in the examples was satisfied and what was lacking when applied to the Basic criterion of C2C. As such, this study links and applies the sustainability criteria pursued in the fashion and textile fields to the textile for automotive interior materials, suggesting a direction for the textile field for automotive internal materials in the future. Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that studies on textiles for automotive interior considering the net economy will continue, and practical development in the industry will be realized.
