The pursuit of freedom by the individual--desire to be liberated from all forms of restrictions-- is one of the defining character-istic of the modern society. As costume is, in part, a product of the spirit of the times, it was only natural that this desire for freedom would find its expression in modern costume as well. Among various forms of restrictions, differentiaton by sex has placed one of the most significant binding influences on individual behavior. From early times, the dichotomous division by sex was incorporated into the disign of costume, and the traditional differestriction of costume by sex imposed a significant restriction on the background,“the modern androhynous look”was born as a by-product of the sexual liberation movement in the second half of the 20th century, based on the concept of the individual as a complete human being rather than as a member exclusively of either the male or the female sex. This paper seeks to examine the androgynous look within a coherent theoretical frame-work, and explore new design possibilities by analyzing and understanding the visual characteristics of the androgynous look. In addition, this paper seeks to define the functional aspects of the androgynous look based on the premise that costume is an embodiment of the spirit of the times. As for research methodology, both theoretical and historical methods are employed. Through a theoretical examination of historical documents, the meaning of the androgynous look is explored from various angles, and order to examine its place in modern fashion, an-drogynous styles are categorized and system atically analyzed. The main findings of the paper can be summarized as follows : 1. Androgyny is a compound word consisting of“andro-”(meaning man) and“gyn-”(meaning woman). In modern times, this word has been associated with the socio-cultural aspect of gender rather than the physical or physiological aspect with the pshchological characteristics of the male and female sexes. Androgynous styles also appear in fashion and general arts such as drama, film, dance, and music. In fashion, the androgynous look, represented by the visual superimposition of “masculine”and “faminine”elements, has emerged as a major element of the 20th-century costume, and has gained broad acceptance among those free spirits wishing to be liberated from the conventional conceptions of male clothing, and the unisex look. 3. The androgynous look in modern fashion reflects the spirit of the 20th century society and culture, and performs various functions as follows : expression of fun, change in gender roles, expression of the inner consciousness, and pursuit of the ideal human type.

The intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) with a multileaf collimator (MLC) requires the conversion of a radiation fluence map into a leaf sequence file that controls the movement of the MLC during radiation treatment of patients. Patient dose verification is clinically one of the most important parts in the treatment delivery of the radiation therapy. The three dimensional (3D) reconstruction of dose distribution delivered to the target helps to verify patient dose and to determine the physical characteristics of beams used in IMRT. A new method is presented for the pretreatment dosimetric verification of two dimensional distributions of photon intensity by means of Beam Intensity Scanner System (BISS) as a radiation detector with a custom-made software for dose calculation of fluorescence signals from scintillator. The scintillator is used to produce fluorescence from the irradiation of 6MV photons on a Varian Clinac 21EX. The BISS reproduces 3D- relative dose distribution from the digitized fluoroscopic signals obtained by digital video camera-based scintillator(DVCS) device in the IMRT. For the intensity modulated beams (IMBs), the calculations of absorbed dose are performed in absolute beam fluence profiles which are used for calculation of the patient dose distribution. The 3D-dose profiles of the IMBs with the BISS were demonstrated by relative measurements of photon beams and shown good agreement with radiographic film. The mechanical and dosimetric properties of the collimating of dynamic and/or step MLC system alter the generated intensity. This is mostly due to leaf transmission, leaf penumbra and geometry of leaves. The variations of output according to the multileaf opening during the irradiation need to be accounted for as well. These phenomena result in a fluence distribution that can be substantially different from the initial and calculative intensity modulation and therefore, should be taken into account by the treatment planning for accurate dose calculations delivered to the target volume in IMRT.
Neurobiological approach helps to resolve the mind-body dualism and develop new assessment and treatment approaches in psychiatry. However, it could be a problem to place too much emphasis on certain aspects of neurobiology, specifically structural neuroanatomy, because of the complexity or comorbidity of neuropsychiatric disorders. Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), for instance, is generally related to problems in motor skills and this movement disability is often related to perception. One account, two visual systems theory, relied on functional distinction in brain; ventral stream is responsible for visual recognition, and dorsal stream is responsible for the guidance of actions. However, Studies are now showing that shape perception is relevant to visually guided action, such as reaching-to-grasp an object. In this article, I reviewed fundamental findings of two-visual system theory and suggested problems of visually guided action to consider what shape perception implies for the two visual systems. Questions raised highlight possible limitations of adopting a structural neuroanatomical approach to account for perception and action effects, and by extent related psychiatric conditions such as DCD. In conclusion, neurobiological approach converging to neuropsychiatry, while useful, would be limited if it focuses too much on anatomical distinction.

At present, there are few research papers on skin penetration of cosmeceutical ingredients. What is worse is that in vivo studies are hard to find. In this study, we measured skin epidermal penetration of cosmeceutical ingredients using in vivo Raman spectroscopy and compared with the results obtained from experiments using in vitro franz cell. Results showed that ascorbyl-2-glucoside, retinol, retinyl palmitate, and kojic acid were good for penetration ratio in measurement in vitro and retinol, vitamin C, and arbutin were good in measurement in vivo. Among them, retinol was best in skin penetration in vivo experiment using Raman spectroscopy and ascorbyl-2-glucoside was best in skin penetration in vitro experiment using Franz cell system. It is estimated that the differences were originated from the experimental procedures of two different methods; in vivo Raman experiment can be sensitive to the effect of epidermis and dermis as characteristics of matter by estimating the stratum corneum and in vitro measurement is evaluation of material to penetrate skin of hairless mouse. However, most penetration barrier is the stratum corneum, thus it is important to examine movement of material in the stratum corneum. We expect that these results provided useful information for many cosmetic related research.
The human temporomandibular joint as a ginglymoarthrodial one has much in common with the other synovial joints of the body, but it does possess an unique charachteristic in that it must accomodate the various occlusal relations of dentition during an end point of closure. For that reason, the movement of the condyle in the temporomandibular joint is susceptible to influences from the nature of occlusion. Undue loading to the temporomandibular joint can be applied on the occasion of premature contacts in centric relation, balancing side interferences, change of occlusal surfaces due to excessive attrition, loss of tooth. Such occlusal disharmonies in association with the systemic and emotional factors may give rise to the temporomandibular disorder. On the other hand, the changes of occlusal patterns in the growing body can also have an effect on the growth of the temporomandibular joint through the alterations of functional stresses. The purpose of this study was to observe histopathologic response of the temporomandibular joint in unilateral chewing on one side exclusively for 10 months. Three dogs showing normal masticatory function were chosen. One dog aged about 12 months was for control, two dogs for experimental specimens were about 12 and 18 months old respectively. For chewing on the left side only, unilateral lower right premolar and molar were extracted in two experimental specimens. And then three dogs were sacrificed 10 months later. Frontal histologic sectioning of joints were done for the observation of the effects of one-side chewing. 24 specimens from three dogs were obtained and fixed in 10% formalin and routinly processed with H-E staining for histologic examination. The light microscopic findings were interpretated as follows: 1. Experimental specimen 1 aged about 22 months: In comparison with control and right non-chewing side, the proliferative and hypertrophic zone were increased at the mesial and lateral part of left chewing side condyle. There was no change of the articular tissue of temporal bone. 2. Experimental specimen 2 aged about 28 months: The articular tissues of adult joint were observed. The differences between the chewing and non-chewing side were not seen in the articular tissues of condyle and temporal bone.

The yield of agar from Gellidium amansii produced was $32.7\%$, the content ratio of agarose and agaropectin was 79 to 21, gelation ability was $0.19\%$ and jelly strength was $413.8\;dyne/cm^2$. Agar-agar solution showed the movement of non-Newtonian fluid and pseudoplastic property was emerged as its concentration go higher. The yield stresses in the range of $0.5\~5\%$ agar-agar solution were $0.09\~1.21\;dyne/cm^2\;at\;80^{\circ}C,\;0.12\~5.29\;dyne/cm^2\;at\;60^{\circ}C\;and\;4.84\~58.37\;dyne/cm^2\;at\;50^{\circ}C$.
The purpose of this study is to research the practical cases of the reflective curriculum design and the improvement of the dance courses as a general education at University. This study deals with the recreation dance program with 40 students participating for 15 weeks. This study is qualitative research to explore the practical meaning and value the process on the basis of the interviews and reports of the students and the class evaluation of the instructors. The results were as follows: First is the experience of 'thinking dance'. Not just a functional movement, but moreover, they could experience the attraction, sensitivity and culture of the dance altogether. Second is the experience of 'communicating dance'. They experienced the sociability from the relationship with new partners, the overcome of the passivity (shyness) and the manner of consideration. The third is the experience of 'creating dance together'. As a member of a group, they could learn the integrity, responsibility and satisfaction in the middle of cooperative task performance. The view from the teacher regarding the class reflective assessment is as followed: The importance of dance instruction is to improve the expressive personality and potentiality of the students. Forcing the students to follow the basic choreography could be exhaustive.

This study was performed to search for correlation between activity limitation level and participation restriction of children with cerebral palsy by investigating the activity limitation level through the use of the GMFCS E&R and the MACS and by figuring out participation restriction level through questionnaire survey. This study was performed, from May 1, 2010 to August 31, 2010, on 152 children with cerebral palsy ranging from 4 to 12 years, who are receiving rehabilitation therapy in the hospitals and community clinics in Busan and Gyeongnam province. The levels of activity limitation were assessed by using GMFCS E&R and MACS, and a questionnaire survey was conducted for participation restriction of the participating children. Spearman rank correlation was used for correlation analysis with the statistical software, SPSS 12.0. Majority of the children scored level 5 in both GMFCS E&R and MACS which is high frequency of activity limitation levels. Children in these levels also showed severe or complete participation restriction for mobility, education, and social relations. The analysis showed a significantly positive correlation between activity limitation level and participation restriction. Therefore this study may be useful in assessing the functional movement component of participation in children with cerebral palsy and developing the intervention plan for participation.
Anatomy and ultrastructure of the modifeid Krana pattern have been studied in succulent Salsola collina Pall. Cylindrical leaves exhibited the Salsoloid Kranz type containing two layers of peripheral chlorenchyma that surrounded the water storage cells and vascular tissues. Small veins were also peripherally arranged, but mostly embedded in the vicinity of the inner chlorenchma without the orderly arrangement of the concentric layering of bundle sheath and mesophyll cells. The current study mainly focused on the chlorenchyma tissue abutting such minor veins. The outer columnar layer exhibited features similar to the characteristics of palisade mesophyll cells, while the inner cuboid layer to the bundle sheath cells of a typical $C_4$ Kranz pattern. Cellular components of the inner chlorenchyma were centripetal and numerous, but starch-laden chloroplasts were rudimentary in the thylakoidal system. The outer chlorenchyma demonstrated normally developed chloroplasts having well-stacked thylakoids and plastoglobuli. Branched and complicated plasmodesmata frequently occurred in thick interfaces of the two layers, implying the active movement of the photosynthates between them. The present data were mostly congruent with one of the structural features of the C4 subtypes , NADP-ME type, reported in the $C_4$ pattern. The Kranz pattern encountered in this Salsola probably has been directly related to the structural modification that occurred during a functional adaptation to the $C_4$ photosynthesis.
Purpose: To determine clinical results for arthroscopic repair of a full-thickness rotator cuff tear using a suture bridge technique. Materials and Methods: Between November, 2007 and October, 2008, we evaluated 90 cases of arthroscopic middle, large rotator tear cuff repair. The mean follow-up period was 15 months (range, 12-23 months). Forty-three cases had medium-sized tears; 47 cases had large-sized tears. At the preoperative stage and again at last follow-up, functional results were assessed by the KSS, ASES, UCLA and the PVAS (Pain visual analogue score). Results: Pain score improved from 2.56 preoperatively to 0.96 at final follow-up; movement scores improved from 6.94 to 1.70. At. final follow-up, the average UCLA score improved from 17.08 to 31.17 with 31 excellent (34%), 49 good (54%) and 10 poor results (12%). The final UCLA score was 31.47 in the group less than 60 years of age and 30.69 in the group over 61 years of age (p=0.344). The UCLA score was 31.23 in those with medium-sized tears and 31.11 in those with large-sized tears (p=0.924). The UCLA score was 31.10 in non-trauma patients and 31.23 in trauma patients (p=0.929). Conclusion: Arthroscopic repair of a full-thickness rotator cuff tear using a suture bridge technique can produce excellent clinical results. These outcomes are not affected by age or trauma history.
