1990년대 패션에 나타난 기능의 효율성 (The Utility of Function Expressed in 1990s Fashion)

  • The purpose of this study is to consider 1990s fashion design involving the utility of function which is the essence of modernism. First, documentary studies about the aesthetic value of the utility of function throughout the 20th century sociocultural contexts has been done. Second, content analysis of articles in American "Vogue" from 1990 to 2002 has been accomplished to hold the actual proof for the utility of function in postmodernism fashion. As a result, the utility of function has been defined the utility of body activity, the utility of practical use, and the utility of mechanical product. According to contents analysis, new aspects has been introduced in use of high-tech fabrics, ornaments, and mass customization in 1990s. In conclusion, the utility of function in fashion has been improved in accordance with the change of sociocultural contexts and women's wants.

상관함수 기반 굴삭기용 과부하 검출 기법 (An Overload Detecting Method for an Excavator Based on the Correlation Function)

  • In this paper, an overload detecting algorithm for an excavator is presented. The proposed overload detecting algorithm is based on the time series analysis especially correlation function. The main purpose of this paper is to prevent damage or crack from the fatigue loaded on an excavator in advance. Generally, the larger data, the longer processing time, and the amount of the data used in this paper are also large, especially every sampling period, 1600 data are gathered and calculated. So this paper focuses on minimizing the number of required sensors by using the correlation function. From the cross correlation function, similar pattern sensors are eliminated and dissimilar pattern sensors are considered, and from the auto correlation function, the overload can be detected. To prove the efficiency of the proposed overload detecting algorithm, this paper shows the computer simulation results.

한국판 유아용 실행기능 척도(BRIEF-P)의 타당화를 위한 예비연구 (A Preliminary Study on Validity of Korean Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function-Preschool Version(BRIEF-P))

  • This study was performed to verify the validity and utility of the Korean Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function-Preschool Version(BRIEF-P). The BRIEF-P is one of the most used instruments to measure Executive Function(EF) and a teacher-rating assessment method designed to measure the executive function of preschoolers(age 2-5). A total of 200 preschoolers(104 boys, 96 girls; recruited aged 3 to 5years) participated. Confirmatory factor analysis was carried out to evaluate the model structure. Correlation analysis was done to verify the concurrent validity. In the results, the model fit indexes were good with the five BRIEF-P subscales (that is, inhibit, shift, emotional control, working memory, plan/organize). The internal consistency of the BRIEF-P five subscales were supported. As a results, the Korean Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function-Preschool Version(BRIEF-P) was confirmed to be a reliable and valid assessment tool to measure executive function in preschoolers.

  • The function-cost matrix table is not constant, but can be changed by many factors including equipment capacity, level of production technique, fluctuation of production volume, and the continuous development of products. Such changes would give the VE analysists additional work burden. By using computer. in this study, much of the time and effort of the function evaluation could be saved, and the efficiency of the analysis could also be enhanced. The application of the function evaluation data of R Company, as a case analysis, to the function evaluation computer program developed in this study resulted in the faster management of function-cost matrix table and function evaluation.

  • A great deal of effert has been invested in upgrading the performance and the efficiency of mechanical structures. Using experimental modal analysis(EMA) or finite element analysis(FEA) data of mechanical structures, this performance and efficiency can be effectively evaluated. In order to analyze complex structures such as automobiles and aircraft, for the sake of computing efficiency, the dynamic substructuring techniques that allow to predict the dynamic behavior of a structure based on that of the composing structures, are widely used. By llinking a modal model obtained from EMA and an analytical model obtained from FEA, the best conditioned structures can be desinged. In this paper, a new algorithm for structural dynamic modification-SRFSM (substructure response function sensitivity method) is proposed by linking frequency responce function synthesis and response function sensitivity. A mehtod to obtain response function sensitivity using direct derivative of mechanical impedance, is also used.

반응표면분석법을 이용한 VTR Deck 캠의 최적형상 설계 (Optimum Cam Profile Design of VTR Deck Using the Response Stuface Analysis)

  • In this paper, and optimum profile of a cam being used in a VTR Deck mechanism is designed by the response surface analysis. The objective function of the design is to reduce driving torque of the pinch roller system that is used to compress video tape to the capstan motor axia. The pinch roller system that will be designed is modeled using the general purpopse mechanism analysis program DADS. The computer model is compared with the physical system for reliability. A model function to represent relationship between design variables and the objective function is estimated by the response surface analysis. Once the model function is reliably estimated the optimal design is carried out using the model function and each design variable's boundaries. To verify improvement of the pinch roller system, a prototype for the pinch rooler system is made and tested. From the test result, an optimum cam profile to resuce driving torque of the pinch roller system is verified.

기술평가 자료를 이용한 중소기업의 생존율 추정 및 생존요인 분석 (A Study on the Survival Probability and Survival Factors of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Using Technology Rating Data)

  • The objectives of this study are to identify the survival function (hazard function) of small and medium enterprises by using technology rating data for the companies guaranteed by Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC), and to figure out the factors that affects their survival. To serve the purposes, this study uses Kaplan-Meier Analysis as a non-parametric method and Cox proportional hazards model as a semi-parametric one. The 17,396 guaranteed companies that assessed from July 1st in 2005 to December 31st in 2009 are selected as samples (16,504 censored data and 829 accident data). The survival time is computed with random censoring (Type III) from July in 2005 as a starting point. The results of the analysis show that Kaplan-Meier Analysis and Cox proportional hazards model are able to readily estimate survival and hazard function and to perform comparative study among group variables such as industry and technology rating level. In particular, Cox proportional hazards model is recognized that it is useful to understand which technology rating items are meaningful to company's survival and how much they affect it. It is considered that these results will provide valuable knowledge for practitioners to find and manage the significant items for survival of the guaranteed companies through future technology rating.

특성함수와 피로해석을 이용한 로워컨트롤암의 형상최적설계 (Shape Optimization of the Lower Control Arm using the Characteristic Function and the Fatigue Analysis)

  • The current automotive is seeking the improvement of performance, the prevention of environmental pollution and the saving of energy resources according to miniaturization and lightweight of the components. And the variance analysis on the basis of structure analysis and DOE is applied to the lower control am. We have proposed a statistical design model to evaluate the effect of structural modification by performing the practical multi-objective optimization considering weight, stress and fatigue lift. The lower control arm is performed the fatigue analysis using the load history of real road test. The design model is determined using the optimization of acquired load history with the fatigue characteristic. The characteristic function is made use of the optimization according to fatigue characteristics to consider constrained function in the optimization of DOE. The structure optimization of a lower control arm according to fatigue characteristics is performed. And the optimized design variable is D=47 m, T=36mm, W=12 mm. In the real engineering problem of considering many objective functions, the multi-objective optimization process using the mathematical programming and the characteristic function is derived an useful design solution.

OOIDEF0 기반의 정보시스템 분석 및 설계 기법: 조선 PDM 시스템 적용사례 (An Information System Analysis and Design Methodology Based on Object-Oriented IDEF0: A Case Study for the PDM System of ship Production)

  • Recently, object-oriented techniques have been used more and more for developments of an information system. But, established object-oriented methodologies are hard to express a business process of various abstract degrees in the analysis level and independent components of the system. They have difficulties in developing a large-scale information system of manufacturing industry such as PDM and CIM. This paper proposes an information system development methodology that imports the object-oriented IDEF0 (OOIDEF0) function model in analysis level. This methodology is made up of requirements gathering, system analysis, system design, and implementation. In requirements gathering level, organization diagram and interview technique are used for input data of OOIDEF0 function model. The OOIDEF0 function model, the interface model and function descriptions are made out in analysis level. Information objects and implementation objects are designed on the basis of the OOIDEF0 function model in design level. The database is built and programming is accomplished in implementation level. In order to prove the consistency and efficiency of the proposed methodology, the PDM system for ship production is modeled and prototyped.

The Effect of Vitamin D and Calcium on Cognitive Function and Depression in the Elderly Living in a City

  • Purpose: This study aims to examine the influence of vitamin D and calcium on depression and cognitive function of the elderly living alone in a city. Methods: The participants were registered in eight senior centers in S city and they had lived alone. Data were collected between November 28, 2014 and March 7, 2015. A total of 155 people participated in data collection to measure the serum vitamin D, the serum calcium, depression, and cognitive function. The data were analyzed with t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression analysis. Results: There were significant differences in depression according to gender and perceptions of health status. Depression correlated significantly with the serum calcium and perceptions of health status, and a stepwise regression analysis showed that the perceptions of health status were significant. There were significant differences in cognitive function according to education level and age. Cognitive function correlated significantly with the serum vitamin D and a stepwise regression analysis showed that education level and age were significant. Conclusion: Consequently, elderly people with poor perceptions of their health status need a depressive intervention program and those with a higher age and lower level of education need a cognitive function intervention program.
