  • Sodium N-acyl N-methyl taurates were synthesized by effectual acylation of fatty acid ethyl esters $C(C_{12}{\sim}C_{18})$ and N-methyl taurine. All the surface activities including krafft point, solubility, interface tension, foaming power, lime-soap dispersing ability and detergency were measured, and cmc was evaluated in dilute aqueous solution.

  • Recently, extending the local broadcasting and increasing lots of informations. The low-loss communication cable is required in proportion as frequency .The reason of transportation loss causes to using the high frequencies like hundreds of MHz or decades of GHz. For the low transportation loss. It is required the developing-technology of foaming and the high foamed insulator with the dielectric ratio of the nearest to 1. Therefor, there is the purpose of developing the insulating materials for the low dielectric ratio. Also it is important to measure the attenuation, which is one of the important parameters.sa the evaluation of transportation characteristic with frequency in the communication cable. In this paper, the result showed that the dielectric ratio(1.4) of the nearest to 1 and low attenuation with high frequency were very related to the transportation and reflection characteristics such as propagation velocity (82.27%). Delay time and voltage standing wave ratio(VSWR).

  • In this study, we processed two procedures of application test of filler for fire-resistance utility that are new application methods of aerated concrete and properties test of aerated concrete according to mixing ratio because we investigated the better use of aerated concrete as filler for fireproof safety and we proposed basic data about standardization of mixing of aerated concrete. We measured flow and volume change of aerated concrete. And if its volume doesn't change, we added measuring unit weight and compressive strength. To test application of aerated concrete as filler for fireproof safety, we filled up aerated concrete to fireproof safety according to suitable mixing ratio. Then we measured maximum temperature of inner part of fireproof safety in accordance with the standard test of fireproof. According to the results, aerated concrete as filler for fireproof safety could be possibly used. So when we make aerated concrete, we should consider using an adding agent as well as a foaming agent.

  • This study is designed to manufacture the continuous foamed concrete and the sound absorption characteristics investigation due to continuous voids ratio. According to the results of experiment, it was shown that continuous voids of the foamed concrete has the influence of the amount used of foaming agent, the viscosity and flowability of cement paste, and also is shaped by cohesive power of bubbles. Also the sound absorption ratio of the foamed concrete is subject to increase as the density becomes low by raising the continuous voids ratio. The cement paste with low water-cement ratio and high cement fineness are very effective to prevent weak strength of formed concrete caused by the increase of the porosity.

  • Pultrusion process of phenolic foam composite is investigated. Phenolic foam composites provide heat and flame resistance with less weight. When made into foam, a variety of properties can be obtained with different bubble size and number density. In this study, effect of process variables on the foaming characteristics of phenolic resin composites during pultrusion process has been studied experimentally. The process variables considered are the heating temperature and the pulling speed as well as the mass fraction of blowing agent. Experiments were performed using a laboratory scale pultrusion apparatus. Optimal process condition was found by observing the micro-morphology.

  • The objective of this study the mechanical characteristics of prefoamed lightweight foamed concrete using the mineral foam agent which has high lightness, and strength. The compressive strength of lightweight foamed concrete using mineral foam agent are about 2 times degree high those the of lightweight foamed concrete using vegetable foam agent. Lightweight foamed concrete was able to obtain the result of 50kg/㎠ or more compressive strength, when was unit weight 0.8t/㎡. In the case of the same unit weight of concrete, it is influenced by w/c of foam agent ratio. The paper present extensive data on characteristics of compressive strength of the concrete manufatured with the different factors in mix design and also present optimum mix proportion.

  • New five N-acyl-N-methyl taurate and their sodium salts were synthesized by acylating sodium N-methyl taurate in water in the presense of inorganic alkali as a catalyst. Wherein acyl group is a straight-chain radical of 10 to 18 carbon atoms. These compounds were identified by infrared spectroscopy. Surface activities of these sodium N-acyl-N-methyl taurate including surface tension, Ross-Miles foaming powers, foam stabilities, emulsifying powers and detergency were measured respectively. Also critical micelle concentration(cmc) were evaluated. Consequently these anionic surfactants with long chain acyl amine showed good emulsifying power of O/W type and had a good detergence.

  • This study was aimed at improving the white index (WI) to prepare thermally expandable microspheres for wallpaper. In particular, thermally expandable microspheres were prepared for different colloidal silica particle sizes to study thermal properties, foaming ratio, and WI. The spheres obtained from tiny colloidal silica were the best in terms of WI and yellowing. Additionally, thermogravimetric analysis results show that small colloidal silica particles are more likely to be adsorbed physically or chemically to the microsphere surface, thereby improving WI at higher temperatures.
