고정 소수점 연산에 의한 고속 DCT 알고리듬의 오차해석 (A Fixed-Point Error Analysis of fast DCT Algorithms)

  • The discrete cosine transform (DCT) is widely used in many signal processing areas, including image and speech data compression. In this paper, we investigate a fixed-point error analysis for fast DCT algorithms, namely, Lee [6], Hou [7] and Vetterli [8]. A statistical model for fixed-point error is analyzed to predict the output noise due to the fixed-point implementation. This paper deals with two's complement fixed-point data representation with truncation and rounding. For a comparison purpose, we also investigate the direct form DCT algorithm. We also propose a suitable scaling model for the fixed-point implementation to avoid an overflow occurring in the addition operation. Computer simulation results reveal that there is a close agreement between the theoretical and the experimental results. The result shows that Vetterli's algorithm is better than the other algorithms in terms of SNR.

  • In this paper we prove common fixed point theorems for four mappings, under the condition of weakly compatible mappings in Menger spaces, without taking any function continuous. We improve results of [A common fixed point theorem for three mappings on Menger spaces. Math.   • In this paper, we prove some coupled fixed point theorems satisfying some generalized contractive condition in a cone metric space over a Banach algebra. We also applied the results obtained to show coupled fixed point of some contractive mapping of integral type.

  • In this paper, we investigate the existence and diameter of the approximate fixed point results on E-metric spaces (not necessarily complete) by using various cyclic contraction mappings, including the B-cyclic contraction, the Bianchini cyclic contraction, the Hardy-Rogers cyclic contraction, and so on. Additionally, we prove the approximate fixed point results for rational type cyclic contraction mappings, which were discussed mainly in [35] and [37], in the setting of E-metric space. Also, a few examples are provided to demonstrate our findings. Subsequently, we discuss some applications of approximate fixed point results in the field of applied mathematics rigorously.

  • This manuscript is divided into three segments. In the first segment, we prove a unique common fixed point theorem satisfying generalized weak contraction on partially ordered metric spaces and also give an example to support our results presented here. In the second segment of the article, some common coupled fixed point results are derived from our main results. In the last segment, we investigate the solution of integral equation as an application. Our results generalize, extend and improve several well-known results of the existing literature.

  • In this paper, we establish some common fixed point theorems satisfying contraction mapping principle on partially ordered non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces and also derive some coupled fixed point results with the help of established results. We investigate the solution of integral equation and also give an example to show the applicability of our results. These results generalize, improve and fuzzify several well-known results in the recent literature.

Our results improve and extend the results of Chen and Chang [Chi-Ming Chen and Tong-Huei Chang, Common fixed point theorems in Menger spaces, Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 2006 (2006), Article ID 75931, Pages 1-15].

  • The aim of this paper is to extend some existing fixed point results for asymptotically regular mappings to fuzzy metric spaces. For this purpose some contractive type conditions with respect to an altering distance function are used. Some new common fixed point results have been derived for such mappings. We provide suitable examples to justify our study.
