This study also investigated whether the childcare teachers' supervision behaviors affected self-efficacy and job stress and whether their self-efficacy acted as a mediating effects on job stress and supervisory behaviors. The participants were 292 childcare teachers for infants in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The instruments utilized were the parent supervision attributes scale, Korean occupational stress scale, and teacher self-efficacy scale. The data analyzed by means of Pearson's correlation coefficients and hierarchical regression analysis. A hierarchical multiple regression analysis, Which Baron & Kenny first proposed, was conducted. The significance of the mediation effect was verified by the Sobel test. The results were as follows: First, the childcare teachers' supervision behaviors had a positive correlation with the teachers' self-efficacy, while the teachers' supervision behaviors and self-efficacy had a negative correlation with job stress. Second, job stress appeared to have a negative on supervision behaviors. Self-efficacy appeared to have a positive effect on supervision behaviors. Third, the mediating effect of self-efficacy was verified in the relationship between supervision behaviors and job stress. The more self-efficacy the childcare teachers had, the more supervision behaviors they performed. The greater their self-efficacy, the more the childcare teachers were able to control job stress. Therefore, by enhancing the self-efficacy of childcare teachers, their level of supervision behaviors should increase and their level of job stress should decrease.

  • This paper explores antecedents of entrepreneurial and job search intentions based on the theory of planned behavior. Additionally, it examines the impact of entrepreneurship and job search education on these antecedents of entrepreneurial and job search intentions. The research model has been validated by analyzing 1,432 responses from undergraduate students in South Korea. The results of analysis provide several findings: First, entrepreneurship attitude, entrepreneurship subjective norm, and entrepreneurship self efficacy showed significant positive effects on entrepreneurial intention, but their effects on job search intention were insignificant. Second, while job search attitude showed significant positive effects on both intentions, job search subjective norm showed a significant effect only on job search intention, and job search self efficacy showed a significant effect only on entrepreneurial intention. Third, entrepreneurship education increased all the antecedents of entrepreneurial intention, and reduced job search attitude. These results imply that entrepreneurship and job search education should be managed comprehensively, considering their cross-effects on the antecedents of entrepreneurial and job search intentions.

  • Keeping good, talented people is one of the most significant factors in a company's success. HR analytics is an important area for applying big data analysis techniques to human resources. It provides organizational insight that enables effective management of employees, allowing management to reach their business goals quickly and efficiently. Job satisfaction and employee turnover analysis are the keys to HR analytics. Job review web services have been becoming popular. Because people exchange information about job satisfaction and turnover through these web services, useful information about HR Analytics is accumulated on the job review web sites. In this paper, we identified factors of employee retention by analyzing a Job Satisfaction/Retention group, and the factors of employee turnover by analyzing a Job Unsatisfaction/Turnover group. In order to do this, we first classified employees according to whether their self-reported job satisfaction or turnover was true. We collected and analyzed data from Jobplanet, a popular job review site. Through dominance analysis and LDA topic modeling, we found major factors, topics, and keywords of the classified groups by IT, service, and manufacturing domains. Our approach is a novel model to apply the analysis of reviews and text mining to the HR domain, and it will be practically helpful for setting new strategies that improve job satisfaction.
