Off-axis Two-mirror System with Wide Field of View Based on Diffractive Mirror

  • An unobstructed off-axis two-mirror system is presented in this paper. First a suitable initial configuration is established based on third-order aberration theory. In order to achieve a wide field of view (FOV) with high image quality , the diffractive mirror is adopted in the two-mirror system to increase the optimization freedom and the aberration relationship between diffractive phase coefficients and Zernike coefficients is derived. Furthermore, a complete comparison design example with a focal length of 1200 mm, F-number of 12, and FOV of 40° × 2° is given to verify the aberration correction ability of the diffractive mirror. The system average wavefront error is 0.007 λ (λ=0.6328 μm) developed from 0.061 λ when the system didn’t adopt the diffractive mirror. In this system the phase modulation function of the diffractive mirror is established as an even function of x, so we could obtain a symmetrical imaging quality about the tangential plane, and the symmetric aberration performance also brings considerable convenience to alignment and testing for the system.

COG 본딩의 접합 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Bonding Performance of COG Bonding Process)

  • In the display industry, COG bonding method is being applied to production of LCD panels that are used for mobile phones and monitors, and is one of the mounting methods optimized to compete with the trend of ultra small, ultra thin and low cost of display. In COG bonding process, electrical characteristics such as contact resistance, insulation property, etc and mechanical characteristics such as bonding strength, etc depend on properties of conductive particles and epoxy resin along with ACF materials used for COG by manufacturers. As the properties of such materials have close relation to optimization of bonding conditions such as temperature, pressure, time, etc in COG bonding process, it is requested to carry out an in-depth study on characteristics of COG bonding, based on which development of bonding process equipment shall be processed. In this study were analyzed the characteristics of COG bonding process, performed the analysis and reliability evaluation on electrical and mechanical characteristics of COG bonding using ACF to find optimum bonding conditions for ACF, and performed the experiment on bonding characteristics regarding fine pitch to understand the affection on finer pitch in COG bonding. It was found that it is difficult to find optimum conditions because it is more difficult to perform alignment as the pitch becomes finer, but only if alignment has been made, it becomes similar to optimum conditions in general COG bonding regardless of pitch intervals.

  • 본 논문은 디지털 방사선 영상에 영상처리기법을 이용하여 기존의 수동적인 방법으로 개인차를 유발했던 차영상 진단방법을 자동화하는 알고리즘 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 차영상 획득 이전에 수행될 투 영상의 정렬방법과 치과용 디지털 방사선영상내의 구조적 특징을 이용하여 관심영역을 선정할 수 있는 방법론을 제안하고, 이를 이용하여 영역에 대한 차정보 표시 및 이에 대한 수치적 근거를 제시함으로써 기존의 방법이 갖지 못한 결과의 일관성 및 객관성을 갖도록 하였다. 구현결과 인간의 시각으로 판별하기 어려운 미세한 차이의 표시 및 환부의 이상발생여부를 확연히 구분할 수 있었다.

  • Axial pressing process를 이용하여 31RE-68TM-1B(RE : 희토류원소, TM: 3d천이금속) 조성을 갖는 소결자석을 제조함에 있어서 Casting process와 Lubricant 변화에 따른 잔류자속밀도 변화를 조사하였다. 출발합금 제조방법으로서 Strip casting process는 $\alpha$-Fe 편석없이 미세하고, 균일한 microstructure를 얻기에 용이한 잇점이 있었으며, Jet mill 이후 균일한 입도의 분말을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한, Jet mill 전후에 적절한 분말 혹은 무수알콜과 같은 Lubricant를 첨가함으로써 잔류자속밀도를 향상시킬 수 있었다. 본 실험에서는 Strip casting 및 분말 Lubrican인 Zn-st(Zinc stearate)에 첨가에 의한 분말입도분포 개선효과와 무수알콜에 의한 배향율 향상효과를 접목하여 잔류자속밀도, 보자력 및 최대자기에너지적이 각각 13.1 kG, 13.5 kOe 및 39.5 MGOe인 경자기특성이 얻어졌다.

Highly Productive Process Technologies of Cantilever-type Microprobe Arrays for Wafer Level Chip Testing

  • This paper describes the highly productive process technologies of microprobe arrays, which were used for a probe card to test a Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) chip with fine pitch pads. Cantilever-type microprobe arrays were fabricated using conventional micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) process technologies. Bonding material, gold-tin (Au-Sn) paste, was used to bond the Ni-Co alloy microprobes to the ceramic space transformer. The electrical and mechanical characteristics of a probe card with fabricated microprobes were measured by a conventional probe card tester. A probe card assembled with the fabricated microprobes showed good x-y alignment and planarity errors within ${\pm}5{\mu}m$ and ${\pm}10{\mu}m$, respectively. In addition, the average leakage current and contact resistance were approximately 1.04 nA and 0.054 ohm, respectively. The proposed highly productive microprobes can be applied to a MEMS probe card, to test a DRAM chip with fine pitch pads.

다이아몬드 터닝머신에서 다중점 B 축 제어 가공법을 통한 표면거칠기 향상 (Improvement in Surface Roughness by Multi Point B Axis Control Method in Diamond Turning Machine)

  • This paper details a new ultra-precise turning method for increasing surface quality, "Multi Point B Axis Control Method." Machined surface error is minimized by the compensation machining process, but the process leaves residual chip marks and surface roughness. This phenomenon is unavoidable in the diamond turning process using existing machining methods. However, Multi Point B axis control uses a small angle (< $1^{\circ}$) for the unused diamond edge for generation of ultra-fine surfaces; no machining chipping occurs. It is achieved by compensated surface profiling via alignment of the tool radial center on the center of the B axis rotation table. Experimental results show that a diamond turned surface using the Multi Point B axis control method achieved P-V $0.1{\mu}m$ and Ra 1.1nm and these ultra-fine surface qualities are reproducible.

RNCC 기반 다시기 RapidEye 위성영상의 정밀 상호좌표등록 (RNCC-based Fine Co-registration of Multi-temporal RapidEye Satellite Imagery)

  • 본 연구는 다시기 영상의 활용이 유리한 RapidEye 영상의 활용성을 증대시키기 위하여, 이들 간에 지역적으로 존재하는 기하오차를 최소화 하는 정밀 상호좌표등록 기법을 제안하였다. 이를 위해, RapidEye 영상과 함께 제공되는 RPCs (Rational Polynomial Coefficients)를 이용하여 다시기 정사영상을 생성하고, 정사영상 간의 정밀 상호 좌표등록을 수행하였다. 정사영상을 생성하기 위해서 수치지도에서 추출된 DEM (Digital Elevation Model)을 활용하였으며, 정밀 상호좌표등록을 수행하기 위하여 RNCC (Registration Noise Cross Correlation) 기법을 적용하였다. 영광지역에 대해 2015년 5월부터 2016년 11월까지 획득된 RapidEye 1B 영상 총 4장을 활용하여 실험을 진행하였으며, 밴드별(blue, green, red, red edge, near-infrared)로 적용된 정밀 상호좌표등록 결과 비교분석을 통해 각 밴드가 보이는 상호좌표등록 적용 가능성 여부를 판단하였다. 실험 결과, RapidEye 영상의 모든 밴드를 활용하여 상호좌표등록이 가능하였으며, 상호좌표등록을 하지 않았을 때보다 다시기 영상 간 정량적/정성적으로 향상된 기하 일치도를 보였다. 특히 red와 red edge 밴드를 이용할 경우 다시기 영상 촬영시기의 계절적 차이에 관계없이 안정적인 상호좌표등록 결과를 보임을 확인하였다.

  • For visual navigation, mobile robot can use a stereo camera which has large field of view. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to detect and recognize human face on the basis of such camera system. In this paper, a new coarse to fine detection algorithm is proposed. For coarse detection, nearly face-like areas are found in entire image using dual ellipse templates. And, detailed alignment of facial outline and features is performed on the basis of view- based multiple appearance model.   • In this paper, a microassembly system based on hybrid manipulation schemes is proposed and applied to the assembly of a photonic component. In order to achieve both high precision and dexterity in microassembly, we propose a hybrid microassembly system with sensory feedbacks of vision and force. This system consists of the distributed 6-DOF micromanipulation units, the stereo microscope, and haptic interface for the force feedback-based microassembly. A hybrid assembly method, which combines the vision-based microassembly and the scaled teleoperated microassembly with force feedback, is proposed. The feasibility of the proposed method is investigated via experimental studies for assembling micro opto-electrical components. Experimental results show that the hybrid microassembly system is feasible for applications to the assembly of photonic components in the commercial market with better flexibility and efficiency.

  • This paper presents the design, fabrication, and calibration of a piezoelectric polymer-based sensorized microgripper. Electro discharge machining technology is employed to fabricate super-elastic alloy based micro gripper. It is tested to present improvement of mechanical performance. For integration of force sensor on the micro gripper, the sensor design based on the piezoelectric polymer PVDF film and fabrication process are presented. The calibration and performance test of force sensor integrated micro gripper are experimentally carried out. The force sensor integrated micro gripper is applied to perform fine alignment tasks of micro opto-electrical components. It successfully supplies force feedback to the operator through the haptic device and plays a main role in preventing damage of assembly parts by adjusting the teaching command.
