  • The purpose of this study was to examine how college students' attitudes toward the use of money and credit cards have affected their financial management practices. The data were collected from 231 college students in Seoul using by a self administered questionnaire. Frequencies, factor analyses, t-tests, ANOVA, and multiple regression were conducted using by SPSSWIN 12.0. The results from this study were as follows. First, results of the factor analysis of attitudes toward the use of money were divided into 5 dimensions such as instrument of ostentation, sufficiency of desire, source of anxiety, diligence and economy, and instrument of preparation for the future. Attitudes toward the uses of credit cards were divided into 3 dimensions, such as positive affection, cognition of reverse function, and attitudes of use-behavior. Financial management practices were divided into 2 dimensions: planning and performing. Second, social-demographical & economical factors, among such as gender, allowance, financial stress, number of credit -cards possessed, and expenses of credit -cards totals each month were significant in the regression analyses for the financial management practices. The results indicate that attitudes toward the use of money have a bigger effect on financial management practices than attitudes towards credit cards. Specifically, attitudes toward the use of money as an instrument of preparation for the future had the most effect on the financial management practices. These results imply that for sound financial management practices to take place, there needs to be education on attitudes toward the use of money.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting credit card attitudes, financial management practices, and sound credit card use among college students, and to conceptualize a theoretical model. Earlier studies identified a number of antecedent variables (such as gender, year in college, job experience, amount of allowance, family income, living with parents, having taken a personal financial management course) and intervening variables (such as attitudes towards credit cards and financial management practices) as useful predictors of sound credit card practices. Four hundred and thirty four undergraduate students in Daejeon participated in this study. Stepwise multiple regression and path analysis were conducted. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Students' attitudes towards credit cards were affected by their you in college, whether they were living with their parents, and the amount of their allowance. Similarly, students' financial management practices were affected by their year in college, whether they were living with their parents, the amount of their allowance, and whether and not they had taken a personal financial management course. 2. Sound credit card practices were influenced by students' gender, their year in college, the amount of their allowance, attitudes towards credit cards, and financial management practices. 3. The path-analysis model demonstrates the relationships among the antecedent variables, intervening variables (credit card attitude, financial management practices), and sound credit card use.

  • This paper investigates the causal relationships between financial attitudes, spending behaviors and the financial satisfaction of adolescent consumers. The study used Cronbach' $\alpha$, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, multiple regression and path analysis for statistical analysis and applied it to 1,252 questionnaires. The results are summarized as follows: Path analysis revealed that the financial satisfaction of adolescents had a direct linear relationship with variables such as grade, sex, financial attitudes. (financial situation compared to past and financial situation compared to others) and types of spending behaviors (planned, conspicuous and excessive). Planned spending behavior was the most influential variable on financial satisfaction. Planned spending behavior had positive linear relationship with the attitude toward the past financial situation. Conspicuous spending behavior had positive linear relationships with the attitudes toward the past financial situation and the financial situation compared to others. However, it showed negative relationship with the attitude toward a future financial situation. Impulsive spending behavior had a positive relationship with the attitude toward others' financial situation. Excessive spending had a positive relationship with the attitude toward a past financial situation but showed a negative relationship to the attitude toward others' financial situation.

But the addition of financial related variables resulted in an R2 change of 33%. Second, the financial solidity by median was 4.10. It means that usuable net asset is four times higher than the total amount of risk. • This research investigates the mechanism of ethical fashion consumption by examining the effects of benefit and risk perception on ethical fashion consumption attitudes and behavioral intention. To test the hypotheses, 300 female consumers between the ages of 20 and 49 were invited as study participants. The reliability and the validity of multi-item constructs were tested by Confirmatory Factor Analysis. The hypotheses were tested by utilizing Structural Equation Analysis and hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The benefit perception of ethical consumption was composed of three benefit types, which were altruistic benefit, social image benefit, and self-oriented benefit. Benefit perception, except social image benefit, had significant effects on consumer attitudes towards ethical fashion consumption; similarly, benefit perception had significant effects on behavioral intention (except self-oriented benefit) which had an effect on behavioral intention only when it was mediated by attitudes. Further analysis was conducted to understand the reason for the weak relationship between attitudes and behavioral intention. Financial and performance risk perceptions were tested for the moderating roles of attitudes and behavioral intention; subsequently, only financial risk interacted with attitudes and showed that the positive effects of attitudes on behavioral intention were weakened by a high financial risk perception. Performance risk had a main effect on behavioral intention independent of attitudes. Managerial implication and future study directions are also discussed.

  • Expectations and demands for the paradigm of healthcare systems are changing in response to changes in the characteristics of population properties and industrial structures; therefore, it is time to prepare for the career diversification of nursing students who have mainly entered the clinical field. The study tested the pathway of financial literacy on the relationship between entrepreneurship and nursing start-up attitude among nursing students. We obtained data from 177 South Korean nursing students through email and mobile phone. The analysis of the mediating effect was performed by hierarchical multiple regression. The SPSS WIN program was adopted. Entrepreneurship and financial literacy of subjects had a significantly positive effect on nursing start-up attitudes. Financial literacy indirectly affected the relationship between nursing students' entrepreneurship and nursing start-up attitude, and significance was verified by Process Macro. Financial literacy can mediate between entrepreneurship and nursing start-up attitudes. These factors will provide an important basis for nursing students to grow into talented people with business capabilities. Nursing education should strengthen the foundation that promotes business competence in nursing students.

Three independent variables are examined such as attitude towards money, financial capability and debt management while the dependent variable is financial wellbeing of public servants. Research design, data, and methodology - Quantitative research is applied in this study, and data are collected by using cross sectional approach. Survey questionnaires are obtained from 270 respondents, which represents 79% response rate. The multiple regressions are used to examine the influence of attitude towards money, financial capability and debt management towards financial wellbeing. Results - The result of the multiple regression indicated positive influences of attitude towards money and financial capability on financial wellbeing. However, debt management found no significant influence on financial wellbeing. Conclusions - Research findings show that people have different attitudes towards money and different trends of expenditure. It is also crucial to be highlighted that employees' attitude and financial capability have a greater influence on overall satisfaction with employees' financial wellbeing. Some would want to show off their luxury items they bought to close friends or relatives and some are very prudent in making expenditures even for necessity items.
