Short-term ICT Training Program for Non-Computer Science Major Teachers in Developing Countries for Improving ICT Teaching Efficacy

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a short-term ICT training course that helps teachers from non-computing disciplines in developing countries acquire flipped-learning content creation skills. A field application is performed by applying the developed ICT training course to secondary school teachers of non-ICT subject specialisms in Laos. In the field study, participating teachers' teaching efficacy on ICT and satisfaction toward the training course are measured. The result of t-test on ICT teaching efficacy showed statistically significant increases in teachers' self-efficacy related to ICT use, both personal efficacy and outcome expectancy. The satisfaction survey performed after training showed that trainees were highly satisfied with the training course. The results of this field study could be used to propose a short-term teacher education model that could be applicable to teachers in other developing countries.

간호학생의 자아존중감 및 자기효능감과 임상실습수행, 학업성취, 전공실습결정과의 관계 (A Study on the Relationship between Self-esteem, Self-efficacy and Clinical Practice Performance, Academic Achievement, Decision Making of Major Field in Clinical Practice)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between self-esteem, self- efficacy and clinical practice performance, academic achievement, decision making of major field in clinical practice . The study subjects consisted with 244 students from G. junior nursing college that will adapt a new majoring program of clinical nursing practice funded by Ministry of human and resources development. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and t-test, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression. The results of this study were summarized as follows: 1. The students were relatively performed well in clinical practice setting (total M :3.78). The item of student's personal relationship between patients, patient's family, and professional staff showed high score (M=3.96). However students did not feel comfortable to communicate with patients, patient's family and professional staffs in clinical setting(mean=3.56). 2. Students who had experiences of temporal absence from school showed significant difference in the variable of academic achievement and decision making of major field in clinical practice Students who entered to nursing school with self-motive revealed statistically significant difference in the variable of clinical practice performance, academic achievement, self-esteem, self-efficacy, and decision making of major field in clinical practice. 3. There was a significant correlation between self-esteem and clinical practice performance, (r=.512, p<.000). And the relation between self-esteem and decision making of major field in clinical practice was significantly correlated(r=.377, p<.000). Self-efficacy and clinical practice performance(r=.567, p<.000), and decision making of major field in clinical practice (r=.441, p<.000) showed significant correlations. Also relation between academic achievement and self-esteem reveled a significant correlation(r=.129, p<.05) but correlation between self-efficacy and academic achievement was not significant. 4. Correlation between clinical practice performance and decision making of major field in clinical practice also identified a significant relation(r=.498, p<.000). 5. Self-esteem and self-efficacy variables predicted clinical practice performance and explained 37.7% of clinical practice performance. 6. Aptitude and personal interests(m=4.07) reveled important factor affecting to select majoring area in clinical practice, and advice from parents reflected low percentage on selecting places(m=2.42). In conclusion, the variables of self-esteem and self-efficacy showed significant correlations with the variables of student's clinical practice performance, academic achievement, and decision making of major field in clinical practice. Thus it is recommended that student's affective domain of self-esteem and self-efficacy should be developed by nursing intervention before clinical nursing education.

테크니컬 디자이너의 자기효능감이 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (The impact of the sense of self-efficacy on job satisfaction and organizational commitment of technical designers)

  • This study analyzed the impact of sense of self-efficacy on job satisfaction and organizational commitment among technical designers in order to acquire information needed for human resources management in the field of technical design. The study was implemented through a normative-descriptive survey method using a questionnaire. The sample consisted of 217 technical designers working at vendors and agents located in Seoul. The results revealed that there were significant differences in the sense of self-efficacy levels among technical designers according to age and work experience. Personal self-efficacy had a positive influence on both intrinsic and extrinsic job satisfaction, but also on affective, continuance, and normative organizational commitment. In addition, personal self-efficacy had a greater influence on extrinsic job satisfaction than social self-efficacy. Both personal and social self-efficacy influenced continuance commitment while there was no relationship between social self-efficacy and affective organizational commitment. However, a clear relationship was found between both social and personal self-efficacy and normative organizational commitment. Nevertheless, social self-efficacy had a greater influence on normative organizational commitment than personal self-efficacy. This fact demonstrates the need to exert more effort to promote the sense of personal self-efficacy of technical designers. These results could be used to provide appropriate proposals for human resources management in the field of technical design.

예비보육교사의 일반적 자기효능감과 보육효능감에 관한 연구 (A Study of Preservice Teachers on the General Self-Efficacy and the Efficacy of Early Childhood Care and Education)

  • The study aims to find out and examine the variables that make a difference between pre-service teachers' child care efficacy (CCE) and general self-efficacy (GSE). The subjects were 232 pre-service child care teachers going to an educational institution and a college. The results are as follows. First, the variables of "age", "teacher training facilities", "field experience in child care centers", and "experience of child care" and "paraprofessional teachers" are important variables in pre-service teachers' CCE. Second, the variables of "age", "level of education", "teacher training facilities", "field experience in child care center", and "experience of child care or paraprofessional teachers" significantly affect the pre-service teachers' GSE. Third, the "age" variable is essential in explaining pre-service teachers' GSE. The Pre-service teachers' GSE is significantly related to the pre-service teachers' CCE.

융합 시대의 임상실습 교육환경, 임상실습관련 무력감, 현장실습적응, 간호전문직관이 돌봄효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Clinical Learning Environment, Clinical Practice Powerlessness, Field Practice Adaptation, and Nursing Professionalism on Caring Efficacy in Convergence Era)

  • 본 연구는 간호학과 4학년을 대상으로 돌봄효능감에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 시도되었다. G도 J대학 간호학과 173명을 자료수집 하였다. IBM SPSS WIN/25.0을 이용하여 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, Multiple regression을 사용하였다. 돌봄효능감은 임상실습 교육환경(r=.42, p<.001), 현장실습적응(r=.53, p<.001), 간호전문직관(r=.42, p<.001)과 상관관계, 임상실습관련 무력감(r=-46, p<.001)과 역상관관계가 있었다. 대상자의 돌봄효능감에 가장 영향을 미치는 요인은 현장실습적응(β=.330, p<.001), 그 다음으로, 간호전문직관(β=.188, p=.005), 임상실습 교육환경(β=.176, p=.015), 내성적(β=-.146, p=.018), 외향적(β=.134, p=.035) 순이었다. 설명력은 41.8%이었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 돌봄효능감 향상을 위한 체계적인 간호교육 프로그램이 필요하며, 돌봄효능감 프로그램 개발에 도움이 되는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

철도 신호분야 현장 근무자들의 자기효능감과 피로에 대한 AMOS를 이용한 융합적 관계 연구 (Convergence Relation Research using AMOS of between Self-efficacy and Fatigue of workers in the field of railroad signaling)

  • 이 연구는 철도신호분야 현장근무자를 대상으로 자기효능감 세부영역과 피로 세부영역 간의 융합적 관계를 구조방정식 모형을 통해 규명하고자 하였다. 일반적 자기효능감, 사회적 자기효능감은 각각 신체적 피로와 정신적 피로에 부(-)의 영향을 미칠 것이라는 가정하였다. 철도 신호분야 현장 근무자들을 대상으로 자기기입식 설문을 실시하여 최종 341건에 대해 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 일반적 자기효능감은 신체적 피로와 정신적 피로에 각각 부(-)의 영향을 미친 반면, 사회적 자기효능감은 신체적 피로와 정신적 피로에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 일반적 자기효능감을 높이기 위한 회사차원의 지원을 강화한다면 연구대상자들의 피로를 감소시키는데 효과적일 것이다.

보건계열 대학생의 전공만족도, 학업적 자기효능감이 학업지속의향에 미치는 영향 (Effects of satisfaction with major and academic self-efficacy on academic persistence of students in health-related fields)

  • Purpose: This study examined the correlation between satisfaction with major, academic self-efficacy, and academic persistence with the general characteristics of students in a health-related field, to determine factors that affect academic persistence. Methods: The study was conducted on third- and fourth-grade health-field students at Daejion. The questionnaire consisted of a self-report, and a URL was sent by text message to students who agreed to participate after reading the purpose and necessity of the study. Results: Major satisfaction was 4.23 on average, academic self-efficacy was 4.15, and academic continuity was 4.25. Grade and school life satisfaction were the factors correlated with a significant difference in academic persistence. Significant positive correlations were seen between satisfaction with major (r=.637, p<.001) and academic self-efficacy (r=.563, p<.001); higher major satisfaction and academic self-efficacy led to higher academic persistence. Conclusion: A more systematic management approach needs to be conducted by developing active learning participation and applying customized counseling management and support programs by grade to improve the academic self-efficacy and academic persistence of students in health-related fields.

보건의료분야 대학생들의 메타인지와 학습몰입 간의 관계에서 자기효능감의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effects of Self-efficacy between Metacognition and Learning flow in College Students in Healthcare Field)

  • 본 연구는 보건의료분야 대학생들의 메타인지와 학습몰입의 관계에서 자기효능감의 매개효과를 규명하기 위하여 시행되었다. 연구대상은 간호학과와 보건행정학과에 재학 중인 300명의 학생이었으며, 2016년 11월 23일부터 12월 2일까지 자기기입식 설문지를 통하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 23.0 프로그램을 이용하여 평균과 표준편차, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, hierarchical regression analysis로 분석하였다. 연구결과 메타인지는 학습몰입에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며(${\beta}=.678$, p<.001), 메타인지와 학습몰입의 관계에서 자기효능감이 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 보건의료분야 대학생의 학습몰입에 메타인지가 매우 중요하며, 이 관계에서 자기효능감이 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미한다. 본 연구에서 보건의료분야 대학생의 메타인지가 자기효능감을 매개로 하여 학습몰입에 미치는 영향이 달라진다는 것을 확인하였으므로, 대학에서는 수업 시 메타인지를 높일 수 있는 다양한 교수학습 전략을 개발하여 적용할 필요가 있다.

한국의 소아 청소년에서 인플루엔자 백신의 효능평가 (Protective Field Efficacy Study of Influenza Vaccines for Korean Children and Adolescent in 2010-2011 Season)

  • 목 적 : 소아청소년을 대상으로 2010-2011 인플루엔자 백신의 야외 효능을 확인하고자 하였다. 방 법 : 2010년 9월에서 2011년 2월까지 소아 청소년을 대상으로 서울 경기지역의 7개 병원과 1개 초등학교에서 인플루엔자 백신을 접종한 시험군과 접종하지 않은 대조군을 모집하였다. 급성 발열성 호흡기 질환 증상이 있을시 임상시험기관에 방문하도록 하여 검체를 채취하여 감염여부를 확인하였다. 결 과 : 시험 군 407명 중 3명(0.74%)에서 3건의 신종 H1N1 인플루엔자 바이러스가 검출되었고, 대조군 230명 중 10명(4.35%)에서 12건을 검출하여 9명(3.91%)에서 9건의 신종 H1N1, 3명(1.30%)에서 3건의 H3N2 인플루엔자 바이러스를 검출하였다. 시험군에서의 인플루엔자 발생률은 0.74%, 대조군에서 4.35%였다. 백신의 야외 효능은 83.2%였다. 결 론 : 소아청소년을 대상으로 2010-2011년 인플루엔자 백신의 야외효능은 우수하였음을 확인하였다.

Evaluation of Control Efficacy of Biocontrol Agent, Epicoccosorus nematosporus on Eleocharis kuroguwai in the Field

  • This study was conducted to determine the efficacy of Epicoccosorus nematosporus for the control of Eleocharis kuroguwai and to evaluate the meteorological factors which affect weeding efficacy in field conditions for three years (1996-1998). The best time to control E. kuroguwai with E. nematosporus as a biological control agent in the field was in July, when temperature ranged from 20.4 to $23.4^{\circ}C$; the surface wetness duration was 12.6-16.1 hours, and application time of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; and weeding efficacy was 81-90%. On 10 June 1996 in Milyang area, where the field experiments were performed, mean temperature was $16.5^{\circ}C$ with 11.3 hours of dew duration. Meanwhile, on 20 Aug. 1996 the temperature was $21.3^{\circ}C$ with 15.4 hours of dew duration. During these periods, the weeding efficacy was recorded at 61.8 and 60.8%, respectively. Time required for complete plant death was 25.8 and 25.6 days at application times 10 June and 20 Aug., respectively. At the time of application on 7,18, and 27 July 1996, mean temperature was 20.4-$23.4^{\circ}C$ with 12.6-16.5 hours of dew duration. The weeding efficacies of these periods were very hi일 with 81.4-90.8%. Three years of field observations from 1996 to 1998 showed that infection in the field can occur at any time through the summer season, although total infection rates vary between months and between years. In 1996, plant infection rapidly increased from 56% on 30 June, 82.4% on 15 July, 94.6% on 15 August, and 92.8% on 15 September under favorable meteorological conditions such as minimum temperature of $17.6^{\circ}C$ and maximum temperature of $27.1^{\circ}C$, with 86% relative humidity and 977.5 mm of rainfall during E. kuroguwai growing season. However, in 1997, the disease incidence was very low because of unfavorable weather conditions brought about by the hot temperature and the low amount of rainfall at 321.5 mm. Disease progress was slow from 24.4% on 30 June to 49.2% at the end of the growing season.
