영아반 초임보육교사의 전문성지원 교사교육프로그램이 전문성 및 자아존중감과 교수효능감에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of a Teacher Education Program for Professionalism Support for Beginning Child Care Teachers in Charge of Toddler Classes on Self-respect, Efficacy in Teaching and Professionalism)

  • Objective: This study tried to find out if a teacher education program that supports professionalism for beginning child care teachers in toddler classes is effective in professionalism, self-respect, and efficacy in teaching. Methods: The study subjects were 40 beginning child care teachers in toddler classes teaching in day care centers in Seoul, Incheon, and Gwangmyeong Gyeonggi-do. They were divided into an experimental group (20 teachers) and a comparative group (20 teachers). The collected data were applied to the SPSS 22.0 program. To find homogeneity of the two groups, a t-test was conducted. To analyze an intergroup difference, ANCOVA was conducted in the way of setting a pre-test score as a covariate. Results: The experimental group which participated in the program showed more positive effects than the comparative group in terms of professionalism, self-respect, and efficacy in teaching. Conclusion/Implications: Based on the results of this study, the program is expected to be meaningful in the field of early childhood education, and to lay the foundation for beginning child care teachers in toddler classes to become experts in their field.

간호대학생의 진로결정 자기효능감과 전공만족도의 관계에서 교수-학생 상호작용의 조절효과 (Moderating Effect of Professor-Student Interaction on the Relationship between Career Decision Self-efficacy and Major Satisfaction among Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of career decision self-efficacy on major satisfaction among nursing students, and to examine the moderating effect of professor-student interaction on career decision self-efficacy and major satisfaction. Methods: This study analyzed the data of 307 students among fourth-year university nursing students in A and C cities from May 2017 to July 2017 using the SPSS 24.0 statistics program. Results: There were significantly positive relationships between career decision self-efficacy, major satisfaction, and professor-student interaction. The professor-student interaction showed moderating effects in the relationship between career decision self-efficacy and major satisfaction, with 52.7% of explanatory power. Conclusion: This finding suggests the importance of career decision self-efficacy and the moderating effects of professor-student interaction to increase nursing students' satisfaction in their major. Therefore, it is necessary to make diverse efforts in the field of education to improve students' career decision self-efficacy and professor-student interaction.

  • Self-efficacy has been extensively evaluated, but no studies have investigated the effect of self-efficacy on the self-reliance of women in poor-households economic productivity. This study analyzes self-efficacy as a personal factor, learning processes, and social support as an environmental factor towards the achievement of self-reliance in women from poor-households in productive economy businesses. Despite the dominant logic of this scheme, there is a need for field-based data regarding whether the variable really supports the sustainable empowerment of poor-households women. This study used the quantitative method through the survey technique. The samples of this study included 250 people collected from five regencies in Indonesia by using a multiple-stage random sampling. The data were analyzed with structural equation modeling. The results show that social support has a significant positive impact on the learning process; social support has a direct negative impact on self-efficacy. The learning process has a direct positive influence on self-efficacy, while social support has a non-significant impact on self-reliance. The learning process has a direct influence on self-reliance. Social support and the learning process both have significant positive impact on self-efficacy. Social support, learning process, and self-efficacy simultaneously have a positive impact on self-reliance in productive economic activities.

Mediating Effect of Academic Self-Efficacy on the Relationship between Academic Stress and Academic Burnout in Chinese Adolescents

  • The current study investigated how academic stress, academic burnout, and academic self-efficacy relate to each other; in addition, this study examined the mediating effects of academic self-efficacy on the relationship between academic stress and academic burnout of Chinese adolescents. A total of 412 students attending third-grade from two different middle schools (ninth-grade in the United States) located in Jiading District of Shanghai participated in the final analysis. By using structural equation modeling (SEM) and the maximum likelihood estimation procedures of AMOS 20.0, the latent variable measurement models were confirmed. The results and conclusions of this study are summarized as follows. A positive correlation between academic stress and academic burnout was soundly supported by this study. Meanwhile, both academic stress and academic burnout indicated negative correlations with academic self-efficacy. The modeling indicated that academic self-efficacy has a partial mediating process and a direct effect on the relationship between academic stress and academic burnout. Thus, academic stress and academic burnout were significantly weaker when academic self-efficacy was higher. In the field of education and curriculum, these results are applicable for restructuring or developing Chinese middle school curriculum utilizing useful methods for adolescents to develop their academic self-efficacy.

  • This study investigated the effect of the 'Chemistry in everyday life' course for 234 pre-service elementary teachers on their beliefs regarding science teaching efficacy and the nature of science. This study also examined the effect of this particular course by their field (natural science, humanities & social science, and fine arts). The results show that after the semester the pre-service teachers' science teaching efficacy beliefs were enhanced. In particular, their personal science teaching efficacy beliefs were improved across all fields. However, their beliefs regarding the nature of science remained largely unchanged. This study discussed the implications surrounding science courses for pre-service teachers.

Teacher Efficacy as an Affective Affiliate of Pedagogical Content Knowledge

  • Whether This paper argues that teacher efficacy is an affective affiliate of pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) based on empirical data of a study on the nature and construct of PCK. This study was a collective case study utilizing qualitative research methods. The participants of the study were three high school science teachers in the U.S. Data was collected from multiple sources such as classroom observation, interviews, teachers' written reflection, students' work samples, and researchers' field notes. Data was analyzed using the "In-depth Analysis of Explicit PCK" developed by the author. Data analysis indicated that teacher efficacy played a critical role in developing PCK by facilitating the movement from PCK to the enactment of PCK.

선발 내건제 Keltrol-F를 이용한 곤충병원선충(Steinernema carpocapsae Weiser)의 파밤나방(Spodoptera exigua(Hubner))에 대한 엽면살포 방제 효과 (Leaf Spray Control Efficacy of the Entomopathogenic Nematode, Steinernema carpocapsae Weiser, Supplemented with the Selected Antidesiccant, Keltrol-F, on the Beet Armyworm, Spodoptera exigua(Hubner))

  • 곤충병원선충(Steinernema carpocapsae Weiser)의 지상부 해충에 대한 야외 방제 효과검증을 위해 화학 방제가 곤란한 파밤나방(Spodoptera exigua(Hubner))을 대상으로 엽면 살포시 시험을 실시하였다. 지상부 살포시 건조에 따른 선충의 생존력 감소를 막기 위해 바람직한 내건제들이(Alkyl glucoside, CMC, glycerol, Keltrol-F, Kunipia-G 및 Laponite LXG) 우선 비교 분석되었다. 이들 내건제 가운데 Keltrol-F(0.1%)가 선발되었다. 이 농도의 내건제가 포함된 선충을 밀도별로 파밤나방이 서식하는 포크에 엽면 살포 처리하여 1 ml당 5,000마리의 감염태 선충의 유효 방제 밀도를 결정하였다. 이 선충 밀도로 포장에 적용하였을 때 87.8%dml 파밤나방 방제 효과를 보였다.

살균제 나무주사를 이용한 참나무 시들음병 방제 효과 (Control Efficacy of Fungicide Injection on Oak Wilt in the Field)

  • 참나무 시들음병(병원균 Raffaelea quercus-mongolicae)은 2004년 국내에 처음 발견되어 그 피해가 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 이번 연구에서는 참나무 시들음병 방제를 위한 나무주사용 살균제를 선발하기 위해 실내시험과 포장시험을 실시하였다. 실내검정에서는 10종의 살균제와 1종의 항생제를 이용하여 국내균주 R. quercus-mongolicae와 일본균주 R. quercivora에 대한 생육억제효과를 조사하였다. 국내균주에 대해서는 chlorothalonil, benomyl, propiconazole 순으로 생육억제효과가 높게 나타났으며, 일본균주에 대해서는 propiconazole, benomyl, bitertanol 순으로 나타났다. 국내균주와 일본균주에 대하여 실내 항균효과가 우수하였던 약제 중 침투이행성이 우수한 propiconazole을 이용하여 약제방제 포장시험을 실시하였다. 그 결과 나무주사 처리 당해 연도 방제효과는 87.5%, 처리 다음 연도 방제효과는 66.7%까지 나타나 약제처리 효과는 적어도 1년 이상이었다.

포장에서 배추좀나방에 대한 백강균 CS-1의 방제효과 (Field evaluation of conidia of Beauveria bassiana (Balsamo) Vuillemin strain CS-1 against diamondback moth larvae)

  • 실내와 망실에서 배추좀나방에 대하여 높은 살충력을 보인 백강균 CS-1의 포장에서의 방제효과를 검정하였다. 1.5% 실험용 대두유, 4% 점토, $4{\times}10^{7}$ conidia/ml이 함유된 포자현탄액을 0.55 L/3.3 $m^{2}$의 양으로 살포하였으며 살포된 양이 배추간 또는 유충간에 큰 차이 없이 균등하게 살포되었음을 water-sensitive paper 실험으로 확인하였다. 포장실험 중 기상조건은 살포 후 2일째부터 이틀간 비온 후 덥고 건조하였으며 잎과 유충표면에서의 포자 지속성은 주위환경에 의하여 많이 단축됨을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 불리한 환경조건에서도 본 균주는 약 54%의 방제효과를 보여주었다. 따라서 본 실험을 통하여 백강균 CS-1을 이용한 미생물살충제의 개발 가능성을 확인 할 수 있었다.

코칭 효과 검증을 위한 현장실험연구: 코칭과 자아존중감, 진로결정자기효능감 및 진로준비행동 간의 관계 (A Field Experiments Study for Coaching Effects Verification: Relation between Coaching and Self-esteem, Career Decision Making Self-efficacy, and Career Preparation Behavior)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 현장실험을 통해 코칭과 자아존중감, 진로결정자기효능감 및 진로준비행동 사이의 관계를 밝히는 것이다. 이를 위해 4년제 대학교에 재학 중인 대학생 50명(남학생 30명, 여학생 20명)을 선정했고, 코칭 효과를 분석하기 위해 연구대상자를 25명씩 실험군과 대조군으로 나누었다. 먼저, 실험군에 속한 대학생들에게 코칭 프로그램(진로 특강과 코칭)을 진행한 후, 선행연구를 바탕으로 선정된 자아존중감, 진로결정자기효능감 및 진로준비행동 항목을 검사했다. 대조군에 속한 대학생들에게도 실험 전후에 같은 항목을 검사했다. 실험군과 대조군에 대한 코칭 전후의 차이를 비교하기 위해 IBM SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 활용하여 수집된 자료를 분석했다. 그 결과, 코칭을 진행한 후에 실험군의 자아존중감, 진로결정자기효능감 및 진로준비행동 수치가 모두 통계적으로 유의미하게 상승된 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이것은 코칭이 직장인과 일반인의 경력개발 및 관리 등에 유용하다는 선행연구를 재차 확인한 것이고, 나아가 코칭은 대학생의 진로지도 및 직업교육에도 적용될 수 있는 유효한 인적자원개발 수단임을 의미한다.
