This study was conducted to examine how the Jewish nation, which disappeared in the history, has come to history again after 2000 years, considering the investigation of the Pentateuch from old testaments in the bible that might be recorded from B.C 1446 to 1406 about 3440 years ago. The foods in the era of the Pentateuch were classified by a strict rule which stipulated eatable clean foods and uneatable unclean foods. According to the Pentateuch, Israelites must not have blood, and the rule has still influenced them strongly. Sacrificial rites were classified into five categories: burnt offering, grain offering, peace offering, sin offering and guilt offering. The subdivisions of the seasons were Passover, Festival of Unleavened bread, Festival of First fruits, Festival of Harvest, Festival of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Festival of Shelters; and those seasons were explained clearly by their meanings and even methods. Contrary to general food culture instructed by custom and tradition, the commandments transcribed the food cultures for the Food Sanitation Act in themselves long ago. Those commandments even remark the results brought to the observant and the disobedient stringently.
This study was carried out to investigate the perception, preference and usage of Korean festival foods of women according to age in Busan. The survey was conducted from October 15, 2012 to November 30, 2012 using questionnaires and the data were analyzed with the SPSS program. In general, younger women (20~30 years old) had a lower interest in Korean festival foods than slightly older women (40~50 years old). Most of women over 40 years of age prepared Korean festival foods at home, but many who were in their 20's (45.9%) and 30's (41.1%) obtained their foods from family and relatives. Overall, 62.5% of the subjects wanted to inherit Korean festival food from family and relatives. The dissemination of information and recipes of Korean festival foods were needed for succeeding to Korean festival foods. The taste score was significantly lower for women in their 20's compared to those over 40. Women under 40 reported a lower ease of cooking compared to women over 50. Tangguk (4.93) on Seollal showed the highest perception degree in the order of Namul (4.91), Tteokguk (4.90), and Sikhye (4.90). Jeon, Yaksik, Sikhye, and Gangjeong were the most highly preferred in every group. The preference degree of Pajeon was significantly higher in women under 40 than in those over 60. Tteokguk and Tangguk were more highly preferred in women in their 30's and 40's compared to the other groups. There was a significant positive correlation between preference for festival food and education level, degree of knowledge, degree of interest, will for inheritance, and will for learning (P<0.01). In conclusion, festival foods rich in local tradition should be developed, publicized and used to educate others. The simplification of cooking methods and the development of processed foods are needed to pass on the traditional food culture of Busan.

Local festival in Korea has developed quantitatively as well qualitatively. Driving force of local festival's development is local governments' active supports. Many Local government support local festival opening actively to accomplish economic activation. Activation of local festivals is good chance to local start-up companies. Local start-up companies don't have well known brand, and wide distribution network. But they can sell their products to visitors in local festival. And if fortune smiles upon them, they can get big buyers in local festivals. If so, what factors can contribute to a increase sales of local start-up companies? Different from existing research that focus on tour industrial outcome, we will focus on effect of festival service quality on increase sales. The survey is using structured questionnaire, we surveyed visitors who visit local start-up companies' booth in festival site. According to survey result, first, each dimensions of festival service quality do not effect on purchase intention directly except empathy dimension. Second, each dimensions of festival service quality effect on purchase intention by a medium of local image indirectly except assurance dimension. And purchase intention have a great effect on purchase action. Through the results, we can confirm festival service quality effect on purchase intention by a medium of local image indirectly. we suggest that improving festival service quality can effect on sales increase of local start-up companies, and for the purpose of sales increase, local government must improve local image at first.

The main purposes of this study are to find the causality among residents' loyalty to an environmental festival and its influential factors and, based upon the findings, to explore environmental festivals' developmental vision with special reference to Hampyung Butterfly Festival. Under these aims, this study applies structural equation modeling(SEM). The structural model for SEM analysis is composed of four independent variables which consist of residents' attachment(RA) to their region where its own environmental festival is provided, residents' participational intention(RP) to the festival, the economic effects(EE) of the festival, and the communication(CM) between the residents and the festival providers, one intermediate variable, residents' satisfaction(RS) from the festival, and one final dependent variable, residents' loyalty(RL) to the festival. The causality among these variables is hypothesized as follows; Among the independent variables, RP, EE, and CM have effects only on RS and RA has an effect on both RS and RL. And RS has an effect on RL. The facts found from the SEM are summed up as follows; First, (1) RP and CM turn out to have statistically significant effects on RS, (2) RA is confirmed to have a statistically very significant effect on both RS and RL, and (3) RS is also proved to show a statistically very significant effect on RL. Second, the total effects on RL of independent variables are stronger in the order of RA, CM, and RP. Third, EE seems to have no effect on RS, consequently no effect on RL, either. The reason why EE has no effect looks like to be due to environmental festivals' peculiar features. These findings offer the following suggestions for the future of environmental festivals in the part of festival providers. Firstly, to be successful in the festival, they have to provoke RL above all. Second, to do so, they need to encourage RA, CM, and RP in the mentioned order in the long run. Third, but for a short period, they had better concentrate upon promoting RS.

In addition, strategies for promoting awareness of the festival had modified the strategy to promote on the contents and programs of the festival, as well as public relations strategy, not only domestic but also the foreign countries, was established and fulfilled. Lastly, in maturity stage, to overcome declining the number of visitors and economic effect both festivals have showed providing sophisticated programs for the visitors' convenience and safety, improving service quality through the development of the existing programs, providing economic benefits such as admission cuts or giving gift certificates and expanding number of foreign visitors with strengthening the promotion that was implemented in growth stage and enhancing the better image of the festival through the social contribution. Therefore, strategies for the each stage mentioned above present the significant policy implications for festival organizers who were planning to establish a new festival or implementing a festival with experiencing the tepid growth.
