Detection of excited vibration frequency on the latticed fence structure using a distributed fiber optic sensor (격자형 구조물의 외부 진동 주파수 탐지를 위한 분포형 광섬유 센서 설계 및 실험)

  • To detect external vibration signals on the latticed fence structure, distributed fiber optic sensor using Sagnac interferometer was fabricated and tested. The latticed structure fabricated with dimension of 170cm in width and 180cm in height, the optical fiber, 50m in lengtn, distributed and fixed on the latticed structure. It was verified the sensitivity of the Sagnac interferometer using the PZT phase modulator. Fiber-optic external vibration signal applied to the latticed structure from 100㎐ to several ㎑. (omitted)

  • A new front plate structure of ac-PDP using fence-type aluminum electrode coated with anodic aluminum oxide was investigated. In this structure, ITO and glass dielectric layer were eliminated and expensive Ag BUS electrode was replaced with aluminum. Test panels were prepared using the new structure and their luminance and discharge characteristics were examined. These results indicate that the new structure provide a new way of cost reduction and enhancement of performance of ac-PDPs

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the value of stone fences in Jeju Island. The result that executes attitude survey to local resident and visitor can be summarizing as following. First are the function and the value of Jeju traditional stone fences. Local resident favored the culture heritage succession and evaluated its' usage Value highly. Visitors also have favored rural landscape offer function and evaluated inheritance value (Bequest Value) highly. Secondly, 80.5% of visitors, 78.1% of local resident have formed opinion about preservation of traditional stone fences. But the Willingness to pay for traditional stone fences fund was raised by 38.6% in local resident and 55.7% in visitor. The reason that willingness to pay does not exist is that it is chargeable to connection group and government, or it has no money to pay. Thirdly, local resident wanted to use made up stone fence preservation fund in rural landscape offer function. Visitor wanted that it is used to raise various function of stone fence.

  • This paper represent about design of the controller for battery of fence with traffic controller for battery of fence with traffic auxiliary system for power supply using solar cell.   • A possibility of manufacturing bendable ac-PDP using aluminum electrode with anodic aluminum oxide dielectric material system on PET film substrate was explored. For this structure, PET film with fence-structured aluminum electrodes was used for front plate and PET film with barrier ribs of UV curable resin for the rear plate. The results demonstrate that it is feasible to manufacture the bendable ac-PDPs using those material system and are expected to expand the applications of plasma display panels.

  • In this paper, to detect exciting frequency on the latticed fence structure, fiber optic sensor using Sagnac interferometer was fabricated and tested. The latticed structure fabricated with dimension of 180 cm wide and 180 cm high, the optical fiber, 50 m in length, distributed and fixed on the latticed structure. Single mode fiber, a laser with 1,550 m wavelength, and $3{\times}3$ coupler were used. Excited vibration signal applied to the latticed structure from 200 Hz to 1 KHz. The detected optical signals were compared to the detected acceleration signals and analyzed on the time and frequency domain. Based on the experimental results, fiber optic sensor using Sagnac interferometer detected exciting frequency, effectively. This system can be applied to the structural health monitoring system.

  • A fence is an ordered set that the order forms a path with alternating orientation. Let F = (F;${\leq}$) be a fence and let OT(F) be the semigroup of all order-preserving self-mappings of F. We prove that OT(F) is coregular if and only if ${\mid}F{\mid}{\leq}2$. We characterize all coregular elements in OT(F) when F is finite. For any subfence S of F, we show that the set COTS(F) of all order-preserving self-mappings in OT(F) having S as their range forms a coregular subsemigroup of OT(F). Under some conditions, we show that a union of COTS(F)'s forms a coregular subsemigroup of OT(F).

  • This paper proposes the CPM bar chart (CBC), a hybrid of the bar chart and the critical path method (CPM). The CBC overcomes shortages of the fence bar chart, while still retaining its advantages. The fence with direction is applied instead of the broken fence, which triggers considerable problems to identify and apply in the fenced bar chart. In addition, the notorious task to find dummy activities is no longer required. Upon the benefits of simplicity in the bar chart and logical work sequence in the CPM network, the CBC provides a relatively easy way to create and understand a schedule, thus improving communication quality between project participants.

  • Our study aims to provide a guideline of deer-proof fence heights to prevent roadkill of water deer (Hydropotes inermis), the most frequently killed by a vehicle collision, in South Korea. With 27 water deer in deer ecology center of the National Institute of Ecology, we measured the ability of water deer to jump gradually higher fences from 0.5cm by 10cm until the deterrence rate reached 100%. Ourresultrevealed that the deterrence rate became 96.7% at the fence height of 1.5m and the rate reached 100% at the 1.8m. We believe that our result provides the fundamental information to prepare a standard of deer-proof fence height. This evidence-based standard will contribute to improving the guideline for wildlife crossing construction and management, established by Ministry of Environment Korea.
