A Case Study on Communal Child Care in Healthy Family Support Centers (건강가정지원센터의 육아품앗이 사업 실천사례)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the potential development of a communal child care project that would lead towards a more family friendly community. By reviewing the case of the Daejeon Health Family Support Center, the study revealed that many child care providers showed an interest in communal child care. But the providers also had problems seeking both partners for communal child care and a communal place to gather. The Daejeon Health Family Support Center had several elements of strength in communal child care project. First, they provided educational programs for care providers to promote the professional knowledge and skills needed for child care and education. The participants' responses to the program were satisfactory, in that they showed the relative effectiveness of such programs in improving attitudes towards Pumasi, along with customized services and other programs provided by the Healthy Family Support Center. In addition, the availability of professional child care services in the attached gym, the Saturday classes for dual earner families, and the prompt response by the center to requests that more space be provided, also contributed to the success of Pumasi program.

The Basic Study of Integration for Family Welfare Delivery System : Focused on Healthy Family Support Centers and Multicultural Family Support Centers (가족복지전달체계 통합을 위한 기초연구 : 건강가정지원센터와 다문화가족지원센터를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is various discussion and alternatives focusing on integration of center for enhancing family policy delivery system and family support service the long term. The subject is managers who work at Healthy Family Support centers and Multicultural Family Centers. And they are responded non-structural questionnaire. The results were follows: First, 82.4% respondents of healthy support center and 50% respondents were in favor of integration. Second, reason of integration are conformance for social integration, the efficiency of center operations, the adequacy of program for various family, doing program with the goal of both centers of the similarity, complementary, and user convenience, prevent duplication and missing of services and so on, If the amount charged against the project of the center dissimilarity of institutions, including the operating direction was different. Third, the Center for the meaning of integration are name, organization, reorganization or consolidation of functions, was regarded as entrusted to corporate consolidation. Fourth, the consolidation that occurs during problem solving to ensure the succession of budgeting and human resources and program alternative for dressing up, commissioning center was the difference as problem solving.

A Study on The Effects of Adult Children's Differentiation of Self and The Healthy Family-of-Origin on The Solidarity with Aged Mother (성인자녀의 자아분화 수준과 원가족에 대한 가족건강도 지각이 노모와의 유대에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relational between the self of differentiation of adult children's, the healthy family-of-origin, and the solidarity with aged mother. Questionnare survey method was used in this research. The sample was taken from 356 adult children in Chonnam and Sunchon city. The collected data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, correlation and stepwise regression analysis. The findings of this study are as follows ; 1) The total points of the self of differentiation of adults children's was 108.7, which was higher than the median 90. And the total points of the healthy family-origin was 107(median:84). And the total points of the attachment with aged mother was 30, which was higher than the median 24. And the total points of the conflict with aged mother was 22.8, which was lower than the median 27. 2) The variables significantly affecting the attachment with aged mother were the healthy family-of-origin, the self of differentiation, educational level and $R^2$of such variable are 30%. The variable significantly affecting the conflict with aged mother were the healthy family-of-origin, the self of differentiation and $R^2$ of such variables are 29%.

  • This study was performed to understand the structure of family experiences of adolescent behavior problems by analyzing and integrating family experiences in the family relationships. This study intends to discover in-depth family experience by analyzing the individual meaning of family experiences from client's wording. This study was performed in phenomenological method through analyzing the actual counselling cases. The results indicated that 9 units of meaning were derived on family relationships. In the family relationship domain, desire to die or kill others, guilt and resentment, not receiving the respect, mother's ignorance and verbal abuse to father were derived as primary components. Parents-children relationships-Not understanding about his father's drunkenness and disgust, getting exhausted, untrusted parents, unidirectional attitude without communication. Sibling Relationships-younger brother or sister to work off frustration.

  • The purpose of the study was to develop family-based intervention program to be implemented and disseminated via "Healthy Family-Support Center." This preventive-empowerment program was designed to intervene with parenting mildly handicapped children enrolled at integrated kindergarten. The theoretical backgrounds employed were ecological theory, preventive family-based intervention approach, and theraplay theory. The pretest-posttest control-group design with random assignment was applied. The research model yielded a significant intervention effect(t=-1.294, p<0.05) on mothers' parenting stress. With proven effectiveness of family-based intervention program, the study further discussed why an ecological, family-based intervention model was a relevant alternative to investigate issues in family welfare, and why an individualized family service plan was a relevant tool to deliver services-in-context for the families who needed supports from exo-and macrosystems.

  • This study focused on the Healthy Family Support Center and Multicultural Family Support Center, which supervise the main field of family resource management with institutional household factors. Our research objective was to present datas demonstrating an improvement in the organizational effectiveness of the Multicultural Family Support Center. The burn out average of employees working for the non-profit organization was 2.45, emotional burnout was 2.87, achievement was 2.43, and dehumanization was 2.06. The effectiveness average of the nonprofit organization was 3.56, profitability was 3.65, job satisfaction was 3.58, and organizational commitment was 3.45. The generic characters that caused burnout were age, information, and professionalism in research. The generic characters and burnout that affected the organizational effectiveness included a lack of accomplishment, and emotional exhaustion, and depersonalization, lack of information and professionalism, lack of external resources in that order. The purpose of this research was to determine the effects of burnout in order to prevent job changes and to provide basic data for the improvement of organizational effectiveness.

  • Every one hopes for the strong or healthy families and happy society, The Healthy Families Act legislated on February 9, 2004, and three centers were appointed to perform as a model, before the law has been in force from January 1, 2005. The major services or programs at the Center performed last year were as follows; educational programs, counseling for prevention of family problems, and cultural events for strengthening the family functions. This study presented the general situations of Seoul Yongsan-gu Sookmyung Women's University Center for Healthy Families last year, evaluated the product of cultural events or programs, and proposed better ideas for managing cultural services or programs. In 'the division of Home Culture', the community networks were established, and diverse events or programs provided drew high satisfaction among attendants. In the future, some services or programs at Seoul Yongsan-gu Sookmyung Women's University Center for Healthy Families hoped to be helpful and made a basis for activating services or programs for other centers.

  • This study proposed the necessities and framework of a network system for the Healthy Families Center. Focused on the community network, this study analyzed the related cases of networking. Based on this analysis, this study suggested an effective scheme for the network system : 1. We need to choose the relevant agencies in the context of community environment. 2. It has to be defined according to the strengths and the weaknesses of the Healthy Families Center. 3. For building an effective and long-term networking system, the specific services in which the related agencies are interested in on the community life survey have to be developed and promoted.

  • The aim of this study was to suggest an improvement plan for the post-certification family friendly consulting service based on consulting reports from 2015-2016 and focus group interviews analysis. Focus group interviews were conducted with consultants with the Family Friendly Support Center and managers with family friendly certification companies. The results of this study were as follows. First, objective outcome indicators for the measurement of consulting performance should be created. Second, a checklist managers can use to choose the consulting type based on self-assessments should be developed. Third, a follow-up consulting system should be in place to complement the ABC module. Fourth, a consulting case database should be built to facilitate customized consulting by industry and size.

  • This study analyzes the transition of the Family-Friendly Index from 2007 to 2012. This index was developed using a questionnaire survey that is distributed to listed companies and public institutions every year by the Ministry of Gender Equality & Family(MOGEF) and the Family-Friendly Support Center. The Family-Friendly Index contains an introduction to and the practical use of family-friendly regulations and programs, such as flexible working systems, parental leave, family leave, EAP, and family-friendly culture. The number of companies involved in the Family-Friendly Index is increasing every year, and has increased from 41.7 in 2007 to 58.9 in 2012. In particular, family-friendly companies testimonialized by the MOGEF are using more family-friendly programs than other company.
