  • Development of new tissue factor (TF) inhibitor is still needed for improved compositions having anticoagulant activity and which can be administed orally or non-intravenously at low doses. Our studies for the development of new TF inhibitors uncovered that aminoalcohols with C-18 alkenyl group, 9-octadecenyl- or 9,12-octadecadienyl groups exhibits in vitro nanomolar level activities. • It is often necessary to obtain some run orders in factorial designs which have a small number of factor level changes and a small linear time trend. In this paper we propose an algorithm to find optimal or near-optimal run orders for $2^4, 2^5, 3^2$ and $2\cdot 3^2$ factorial designs under the criterion that the number of factor level changes and the linear time trend should be simultaneously small.

  • This paper studies the long-run behavior of relative price dispersion among cities in Korea with a special emphasis on heterogeneous transitional patterns of price level dynamics. Formal statistical tests indicate considerable evidence for rejecting the null of relative price level convergence among the majority of cities over the sample period of 1985-2015. The analysis of gravity model suggests that the effect of transportation costs on intercity price level differentials is limited, while other socioeconomic factors, such as income, input factor prices, demographic structure, and housing price growth, play key roles in accounting for persistent regional price level disparities. Individual price levels are found to be better explained by a multiple-component model, and the deviations from PPP may be attributed to distinct stochastic common trends that are characterized by income and demographic structure.

  • This study puts an emphasis on the importance clothing and its reuse, dealing with the unmarried women workers who will be main domestic consumers. Questionnaire survey method was used in this research. The sample was taken from 546 unmarried women workers. The major findings are summarized as follows, it was found that Factor I was the cause of unplanned clothing management, Factor II was the cause of clothing modification and body type changes and Factors III was the cause of fashionmongering. Second, it was shown that as for experiences in hoarded clothing recycling disposition behavior subjective social strate had the high level, the group of sale and technical jobs / self-employed jobs had the higher level than the group of specialized skil / management jobs, the group in office-going and leaving clothing had the higher level than the group of people in separate uniform as working dress and the group of those experienced in environmental education had the high level.

  • Software Process Improvement(SPI) becomes an important issue at software quality. A research model is suggested on the basis of previous literature. The model includes success factors for SPI as independent variables and CMM levels as mediating variables, and defines organizational performance as dependent variables. This study basically investigates causational relationships among SPI success factors, CMM levels, and organizational performance through a structured equation model. A LISREL v8.72 for windows is used for statistical analysis. Even through success factors for SPI partially influences the CMM level, the CMM level is fully related to the level of organizational performance. The results show that the success factor for SPI in Korean companies are not equal to the factors abroad, but indicate that the CMM level is closely related to the organizational performance. These results will be helpful to academicians as well as to practitioners.

  • The primary concerns of recreation plan are to provide visitors with quality of recreational experience and to protect of recreation resources. The quality of recreational experience is often defined in terms of social carrying capacity. The carrying capacity is revealed as perceived crowding. In this respects, measuring perceived crowding is useful tool of social carrying capacity determination. This study is to test the structural equation model that includes variables affecting perceived crowding. Through an on-site questionnaire survey, 467 visitors on Naejangsan national park were collected. The results of the study are follows. The encounter level on facility area is higher evaluated as crowding factor than other area in the park. It can be concluded that visitor perceived crowding when facility area situates high density use level rather than other areas expose high density use level. In the path analysis, the input variables(attitude, experience, encounter level) on the structural equation model affect significantly on perceived crowding. Especially, the attitude on the park management polocy is the most affecting factor on perceived crowding.

  • The purpose of this empirical study is to examine the factors affecting the leisure attitudes and the participation level of leisure activities of middle- and old-aged homemakers and the relationship between the leisure attitudes and their participation level of leisure activities. The samples were composed of 264 married women over 40 years old, selected by age and local distribution. The major findings of this study are as follows. The more the middle- and old-aged women show the positive behavioral leisure attitude, the more actively they participated leisure activities. Also, the economic factor of the samples was the most significant factor to affect the leisure attitudes and the participation level of leisure activities. The findings of this study provide some implications regarding the policies on the leisure facilities and leisure education programs to enhance the quality of life of the middle- and old-aged homemakers.

  • In this work, the model predictive control method was applied to a linear model and a nonlinear model of steam generators. The parameters of a linear model for steam generators are very different according to the power levels. The model predictive controller was designed for the linear steam generator model at a fixed power level. The proposed controller at the fixed power level showed good performance for any other power levels by designed changing only the input-weighting factor. As the input-weighting factor usually increases, its relative stability does so. The steam generator has some nonlinear characteristics. Therefore, the proposed algorithm has been implemented for a nonlinear model of the nuclear steam generator to verify its real performance and also, showed good performance.

  • This study aimed at investigating the socialization of householdwork to the difference of life style pattern of housewives. For the purpose, questionnaires were administrated to the housewives in Seoul and to analyse of the date, factor analysis F-test, t-test and path analysis were used. The results can be summarized as follows ; 1. By utilizing factor analysis, the life style patterns of housewives were classified into 7 types, they were named, self-improvement type, social activity type, modernistic type, sound and thrifty type, variety-seeking type, passive stability-seeking type, the traditional and conservative type. And the patterns of life style differed significantly according to all of the demographic variables except family type. 2. The level of socialization of householdwork was not reaching the medium, and the mean was 19.45. 3. The socialization of householdwork were influenced indirectly by the age, educational level, income level, family type and social activity type, variety seeking type, traditional and conservative type of the life style pattern. And directly, the age and educational level influenced the socialization of householdwork.

  • The purpose of the resent research is to investigate the characteristics of sound insulation at the circular voided concrete slab in the multi-housing. In order to do this research, the method for field measurement of floor impact sound level was used following the Korea Standard F2810-1996. For the multi-housing, three kinds of circular voided concrete slabs are used to measure the characteristics of sound insulation. The results are as follows; 1.The main factor affecting the characteristics of sound insulation at the circular voided concrete slab in the multi-housing is sound-absorbing materials in the circular tube. 2. The main factor to effect the difference of sound pressure level is circular tube in the concrete slab. 3. The forms of circular tubes effect the characteristics of sound insulation at the circular tube. 4. Sound Pressure Level resulting from the piping direction of circular tubes in little different to octave band level.More study will be needed about the depth and distance of sound insulation materials, and the components of sound insulation materials for the multi-housing.
