A study for pattern recognition of partial discharge in Extra High Voltage cable on the site (Neural Network를 이용한 초고압 실선로에서의 부분방전 패턴인식 연구)

  • 초고압 케이블에서 발생하는 부분방전을 측정하기 위해 다양한 방법들이 연구 개발되어왔다. 최근에는 초고압 케이블의 설치 후 시행하는 준공시험에 있어 부분방전 측정을 필수적으로 할 만큼 부분방전 진단기술의 중요성이 부각되고 있는 실정이며, 디지털 측정기술을 통한 부분방전자동측정 기술이 많이 제안되고 있다. 특히, 비전문가들만으로도 진단 및 감시가 가능하도록 하는 자동 패턴 분류에 대한 다양한 연구에 활발히 보고되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 초고압 케이블에서 발생되는 결함을 내부, 외부, 노이즈의 세 가지로 분류하고 PRPD(Phase Resolved Partial Discharge) 형태로 모의된 실험데이터와 현장에서 축적된 데이터를 선별하여 다양한 통계치를 추출하였고, 결함별 구분이 용이하지 않은 통계치를 제외한 값들을 Neural Network 방법으로 학습시켰다. 학습된 가중치 값을 LabView로 작성된 프로그램에 사용하여 변전소 내 EBG에서 검출한 부분방전 측정 결과에 적용하였다.

  • Oil-filled power cables and XLPE power cables have been globally applied for extra-high-voltage underground power transmission lines. The application of XLPE cables for the transmission lines have been largely increased at the domestic and overseas projects because of some issues. O.F cables have some week points, related with the issues of the environmental pollution and the needed maintenance work, even though they have been applied for several ten years and their reliability has been proven. Meanwhile, the demands on XLPE power cables increase as their manufacturing technologies have been improved and their simplicity of installations has been focused on. In Korea, for the first time, the 275kV XLPE cable is to be applied at an overseas power plant project. This paper introduces the project profile, the design of the XLPE cable and its accessories, the cable system design and the installation design.

  • Since Korea was initiated a industrialization, many transmission lines have been installed to meet the increasing demand for the electric power. In large city, underground transmission lines were widely installed because of the environmental issue. But there have been appeared many failures on the lines, such as the external scar of cable, a fire in the culvert, overheating of cable, and so on. There have been many studies to monitor them and improve the reliability of the power supply. As a method monitoring the lines, a DTS(Distributed Temperature Sensor) system is developed and applied. This system monitors the lines and predicts the failures, using a optical fiber sensor. This paper describes this DTS system and its application for the underground transmission lines.

  • In this study, a nano-convergence material technology that can satisfy the superior impact resistance and electrical properties of the semiconducting flame retardant compound used in the Oversheath layer of Extra-high voltage cables was studied. When some of the carbon black used in the semiconducting flame-retardant compound was replaced with CNT (carbon nano tube), the change in physical properties was analyzed. Through the application of carbon nanotubes with remarkably excellent electrical properties, even a small amount of conductive filler formulations can provide superior electrical properties. In addition, as the total filler amount is reduced based on the compound, the workability is improved, and in particular, flexibility and impact resistance are improved, which is expected to contribute to the improvement of the durability of the cable.

  • Epoxy materials are used as insulation material for electric power cables. In the case of a flow of excess current due to the temperature difference which occurs between the heat of the conductor and the atmosphere, heat degrades connection point of the cables. Also, the mechanical stress, which occurs due to the thermal expansion coefficient of cable connection electrode system and epoxy insulation materials along with the gap between thermal conduction based on the extra high voltage of transmitted voltage, increases possibility of cracks to occur. The relationship between mechanical stress and electrical breakdown mechanism is verified for the epoxy materials such as high toughness epoxy materials, which comes to be used contemporarily, and for the breakdown mechanism of epoxy materials on the multi-stresses (mechanical and electrical) due to the variation of the temperature.

  • In this paper, we introduce the 22.9kv by-pass cable machinery being developed. This machinery is so desinged as to solve many problems of the conventional one such as the limitation of usage, working space, route length etc. It is, so to speak, one touch-one system. Compared with the conventional system, this has several advantages, which are the cost down, the decreasing working time and space, and the multiusage etc.

  • The construction method in electrical room with hydro power generation is well informed in drawings and according to this method, to master the actual working conditions. It's necessary to consult location of KEPCO liability threshold with the KEPCO side, therefore make a decision to install the underground cable in hydro power station in each state, including outdoor pipes and manholes. Undulating rigid polyethylene conduit (125C) and CNCV-W extra high cable are laid and installed, to make a closely analysis to the construction by reviewing its process. In this work, the key part of the KEPCO power system for House of Commons is actually based on liability threshold, even including outdoors pipeline construction, high voltage underground electrical wiring and switchgear installation. It directly reveals the contents of the proposed construction methods about Housing Corporation and the High Voltage Switchgear Installation Inlet.

  • Recently, with the increase of demand of electricity, electric cable or electric transfer machine are rapidly developed and meet the demand with the extra high voltage and massive capacity, the dangers of electrical accident of insulator are increasing by the electric stress, insulation degradation and insulation breakdown in insulator. In this paper, it is investigated that the temperature dependance of dielectric strength in nano-composites. We obtained that breakdown voltage of 0.4 [wt%] specimens is higher than the other $SiO_2$ content.

  • In order to recognize the deterioration of insulation system by partial discharge (PD), the characteristics of PD patterns which are occurring at the interface between epoxy and rubber materials in extra high voltage cable joints, have been investigated. The artificial defects such as voids, metal particles, insulation fiber and water impregnated insulation fiber are planted between the interfaces. A high frequency partial discharge detection system was used for measuring PD signals. An analysis of the PD patterns is focused on the shape of PD pattern, phase, width and time-dependence for each artificial defect. The PD Patterns in each defect show the different behaviors and it is suggested that the precise discrimination of PD patterns could be used for the diagnosis of deterioration in the insulation systems.

  • 초고압 전력케이블용 기중 종단접속재에 사용되는 지지애자의 전기적 고절연 성능과 기계적 Compact화된 제품개발을 목적으로 Simulation Tool을 활용하여 전계해석을 수행하였고, 해석된 결과를 기초로 지지애자를 설계, 개발 하였다. 개발된 지지애자의 Sample을 채취하고 전기적, 기계적 시험을 통하여 신뢰성을 검증 하였다. 전계해석에 있어서는 Epoxy와 Porcelain 재료, Old type과 New type으로 구분하여 재료별, 구조별로 해석을 진행 하였다. 지지애자의 설계기준과 전기적, 기계적 시험 결과를 비교하여 개발된 제품의 특성에 있어서 얼마만큼의 안전율을 확보 할 수 있는지 알 수 있었고, Porcelain 지지애자와 비교하여 약 40%의 크기를 축소할 수 있는 전기적, 기계적 신뢰성이 확보된 지지애자를 개발 할 수 있었다.
