A Note on Stationary Linearly Positive Quadrant Dependent Sequences

  • In this note we prove an invariance principle for strictly stationary linear positive quadrant dependent sequences, satifying some assumption on the covariance structure, $0 < \sum Cov(X_1,X_j) < \infty$. This result is an extension of Burton, Dabrowski and Dehlings' invariance principle for weakly associated sequences to LPQD sequences as well as an improvement of Newman's central limit theorem for LPQD sequences.

  • In this paper, I review the historical background of "the principle of the permanence of equivalent forms" and sum- marize properties of "the principle of the permanence of equivalent forms" as a kind of heuristic. 1 think that "the principle of the permanence of equivalent forms" can be used effectively for student's discovery of the algebraic structure. There are three ways of using "the principle of the permanence of equivalent forms" in extending number system - an extension on the base of set theory(SMSC), the formal or axiomatic extrapolation and the inductive-extrapolatory method. All those three methods are mixed up and being used potentially at various levels in current Korean text books. "The principle of the permanence of equivalent forms" is used most effectively in the subject of the exponent. 1 try to present a situation that makes the students find more general definition and cultivate their desirable attitudes for the mathematics in the process of extending the exponent through summarizing the debate between Goel & Robillard(1997) and Tirosh S, Even(1997).

  • The objectives of this study were to study multicultural society of rural areas in Korea. USA immigration law permits permanent settlement but Korea immigration law prohibits permanent settlement. USA adopted the territorial principle but Korea adopted the personal(nationality) principle. So a large number of people immigrated and settled in USA and mass(collective) immigrants is usual in USA. But foreign workers(temporary immigration) and international marriage women(individual immigrants) is usual in Korea. According to the positive law, foreign workers cannot settle down in Korea. So international marriage women immigrants are main cause of multicultural society in rural areas in Korea. This is the particularity of multicultural society in rural areas in Korea. So it is necessary to differentiate multicultural society policy according to areas and residents. Many peoples see multicultural society from a point of view of human rights and welfare. But it is also necessary to see multicultural society from a point of view of economic and policy.

  • A triangular fuzzy number is one of the most popular fuzzy numbers. Many results for the extended algebraic operations between two triangular fuzzy numbers are well-known. We generalize the triangular fuzzy numbers on $\mathbb{R}$ to $\mathbb{R}^2$. By defining parametric operations between two regions valued ${\alpha}$-cuts, we get the parametric operations for two triangular fuzzy numbers defined on $\mathbb{R}^2$.

  • Many optimization problem or multiple attribute, multiple alternative decision making problem may have fuzzy evaluation factors. In this case, fuzzy number operation technique is needed to evaluate and compare object functions which become fuzzy sets. Generally, fuzzy number operations can be defined by extension principle of fuzzy set theory, but it is tedious to do fuzzy number operations by using extension principle when the membership functions are defined by complex functions. Many fast methods which approximate the membership functions such as triangle, trapezoidal, or L-R type functions are proposed. In this paper, a fast fuzzy number operation method is proposed which do not simplify the membership functions of fuzzy numbers.

  • There are many results on the extended operations of two fuzzy numbers based on the Zadeh's extension principle. For the calculation, we have to use existing operations between two ${\alpha}$-cuts. In this paper, we define parametric operations between two ${\alpha}$-cuts which are different from the existing operations. But we have the same results as the extended operations of Zadeh's principle.
