In the 1970's the Interior Design Associations was established and the activity of youth designers who werecalled the "first generation of Korean interior designers" were created. This study is aimed to analyze characteristics and trends of commercial interior design in the 1970's. The design methods include the documentary research and the actual proof research conducted. The frames of analysis were made by the background theories about Korean interior design, and the annual case studies were analyzed and estimated according to the design types. The design types were analyzed by the geometrical simplicity research, the romantic emotional expression, the Korean identity expression, the machine technical asthetic expression and the eclectic style with western classics. In the early 1970's, the abstract, brief, and simple expression were presented most frequently by the geometrical form and the repetition of the pattern. From the mid-1970's the romantic and emotional atmosphere of the youth culture that was popular at that time were expressed as vernacular design by the rough finishing of the natural materials such as plaster, brick, and wood floorings etc. The space such as a Korean food restaurant relates to the Korean traditional culture aims to be different through the expression by the Korean traditional patterns, furniture, and materials. In the late 1970's the metals and glass were used for the expression of the machine aesthetic form but was not popular because of the rare application. The type that revived the past western traditional form was presented by using the arch, dome, and the curved and luxurious moldings.
Among many modelling factors which consist of a screen, a form brings a child's psychological response, according to its being drawn and expressed shape, and would be defined as a visual descriptive method which transmits the relation between the subject and background by a story content and the circumstance and emotion of characters in the story. In this study, to analyze how an expressed form on a screen works to a child visually and psychologically, I, first have examined how differently a child's perception development and its experience to the form is come out by the age of a child, and have found that it influences on a child's originality and creativity development, visual and psychological thinking development, and the stimulation on dream and imagination. And I have examined each characteristic by discriminating the expressive style of the form into a reproductive, a simplified, an exaggerated and a distorted form expression, and by utilizing it as substantiative data through the 1st and 2nd stage, have analyzed responses and preferences according to a style of a child's expression form. In conclusion, I have considered that the analysis result through the substantiative study would be a help not only to the form expression which is based on an illustrator's personality and creativity, and also would be utilized in the effective expression method study and experiment of students who learns the illustration.

Cancer show distinct pattern of gene expression when it is compared to normal. This difference results malignant characteristic of cancer. Many cancer drugs are targeting this difference so that it can selectively kill cancer cells. One of the recent demand for personalized treating cancer is retrieving normal tissue from a patient so that the gene expression difference between cancer and normal be assessed. However, in most clinical situation it is hard to retrieve normal tissue from a patient. This is because biopsy of normal tissues may cause damage to the organ function or a risk of infection or side effect what a patient to take. Thus, there is a challenge to estimate normal cell's gene expression where cancers are originated from without taking additional biopsy. In this paper, we propose in-silico based prediction of normal cell's gene expression from gene expression data of a tumor sample. We call this challenge as reverting the cancer into normal. We divided this challenge into two parts. The first part is making a generator that is able to fool a pretrained discriminator. Pretrained discriminator is from the training of public data (9,601 cancers, 7,240 normals) which shows 0.997 of accuracy to discriminate if a given gene expression pattern is cancer or normal. Deceiving this pretrained discriminator means our method is capable of generating very normal-like gene expression data. The second part of the challenge is to address whether generated normal is similar to true reverse form of the input cancer data. We used, cycle-consistent adversarial networks to approach our challenges, since this network is capable of translating one domain to the other while maintaining original domain's feature and at the same time adding the new domain's feature. We evaluated that, if we put cancer data into a cycle-consistent adversarial network, it could retain most of the information from the input (cancer) and at the same time change the data into normal. We also evaluated if this generated gene expression of normal tissue would be the biological reverse form of the gene expression of cancer used as an input.
The spiral form, which comes from the organic form of natural phenomenon such as growth of creatures, has been used as a factor of formative shape in various fields of art until now. In conjunction herewith, this study intends to discover and express the life force and the formative beauty of natural substances with the organic spiral forms into clothing design, using various creating methods and materials such as Korean traditional paper. The natural substances with the spiral structure, such as seashells, land snails, passion flower, curled flower, growing chart of plants, Impatiens textori was used as subjects of the designs. The seven pieces of work were completed with attempts to develop aesthetic forms through the presentation techniques and methods via restructuring process of simplification, partial transformation and consolidation. Through such process the conclusion of this study is as follows: First, the nature, with unlimited possibilities, could be subject of human formative activities, leading to the creative world of formative art for designers. Second, adaptation of the spiral organic forms of nature into the contemporary clothing designs proved the motif as a source of inspiration of diverse subject, in recognition with its innate formative beauty as well as external shape. Third, design expressions via restructuring process of simplification, partial transformation and consolidation with designer's subjective point of view were adequate for the creations of contemporary fashion designs. Fourth, the Korean traditional paper, as a fine material for various shape according to the handling method, could be used appropriately in the contemporary clothing designs, expressing our aesthetic senses. Fifth and finally, expansion of the realm of formative expression of clothing through the development of possibilities of expression in contemporary clothing would enhance the creative possibilities of clothing design as formative art. In conclusion, the expression of clothing design as formative art was developed on the emphasis of re-creation of natural objects of the organic spiral form. For the future study, the applications of spiral form into everyday clothing designs, consolidating artistic senses and practical senses, are expected as opportunity of proposing developmental possibilities of the contemporary clothing designs.

IL-12 is a secretory heterodimeric cytokine composed of p35 and p40 subunits. IL-12 p35 and p40 subunits are sometimes produced as monomers or homodimers. IL-12 is also produced as a membrane-bound form in some cases. In this study, we hypothesized that the membrane-bound form of IL-12 subunits may function as a costimulatory signal for selective activation of TAA-specific CTL through direct priming without involving antigen presenting cells and helper T cells. MethA fibrosarcoma cells were transfected with expression vectors of membrane-bound form of IL-12p35 (mbIL-12p35) or IL-12p40 subunit (mbIL-12p40) and were selected under G418-containing medium. The tumor cell clones were analyzed for the expression of mbIL-12p35 or p40 subunit and for their stimulatory effects on macrophages. The responsible T-cell subpopulation for antitumor activity of mbIL-12p35 expressing tumor clone was also analyzed in T cell subset-depleted mice. Expression of transfected membranebound form of IL-12 subunits was stable during more than 3 months of in vitro culture, and the chimeric molecules were not released into culture supernatants. Neither the mbIL-12p35-expressing tumor clones nor mbIL-12p40-expressing tumor clones activated macrophages to secrete TNF-${\alpha}$. Growth of mbIL-12p35-expressing tumor clones was more accelerated in the $CD8^+$ T cell-depleted mice than in $CD4^+$ T cell-depleted or normal mice. These results suggest that $CD8^+$ T cells could be responsible for the rejection of mbIL-12p35-expressing tumor clone, which may bypass activation of antigen presenting cells and $CD4^+$ helper T cells.
Ginsenosides, a group of Panax ginseng saponins, exert the lowering effects of plasma cholesterol levels in animals. We had reported earlier that ginsenoside Rb2 upregulate low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) expression via a mechanism that is dependent of the activation of sterol response element binding protein 2 (SREBP-2) expression. This study was conducted to determine the effects of ginsenoside Rb2 on the expression of the hepatic LDLR expression at cellular levels using HepG2 cells, and to evaluate whether the sterol response element binding protein 1 (SREBP-l) was involved in the regulation of LDLR expression. Incubation of HepG2 cells in serum-free medium supplemented with cholesterol $(10{\mu}g/ml)$ for 8 hours decreased the mRNAs of LDLR mRNA by $12\%$ and SREBP-l mRNA by $35\%$. Ginsenoside Rb2 antagonized the repressive effects of cholesterol and increased both LDLR and SREBP-l mRNA expression to 1.5- and 2-fold, respectively. Furthermore, Western blot and confocal microscopic analyses with SREBP-l polyclonal antibody revealed that ginsenoside Rb2 enhanced the maturation of the SREBP-1 from the inactive precursor form in ER membrane to the active transcription factor form in nucleus. These results suggest that ginsenoside Rb2 upregulates LDLR expression via a mechanism that is dependent of the activation of not only SREBP-2 expression, but also SREBP-1 expression and maturation, and also indicate that the pharmacological value of ginsenoside Rb2 may be distinguished from that of lovastatin which is reported that it upregulate LDLR through SREBP-2 only, not through SREBP-1.
Considering the established research about the characteristics of traditional expression in a contemporary korean architecture, there are two critical problems. the one is that the extent of a case is limited to a public building and a large exhibition building. the other is that the angle of research focus on the viewpoint of specific a level. To settle these problems and supplement a established research, this study is to investigate and analyze the characteristics of popular traditional expression in small commercial buildings. In A viewpoint on the expansion of a case and a various angle, A small commercial buildings is selected as a case. because it is felt that the populace's taste vis-a-vis traditional expression. To investigate and analyze, A main analytic criterion is follows. 1) A expressional method on traditional architectural form 2) A expressional aspect by architectural element 3) A expressional aspect in architectural material 4) A expressional aspect in architectural structure. In consequence we can find out the following results in the process of analysis. 1) In expressional method on traditional architectural form, the traditional expression is represented as the imitation and transformation of a traditional folk house forms, and the embodiment of traditional image 2) In expressional aspect by architectural element, the traditional expression elements is mainly represented at a straw roof and a mud-plastered wall 3) the traditional expression material is mainly straw, timber, small wood boards and mud 4) In expressional aspect in architectural structure, the traditional expression is represented from the viewpoint of decorative expression.

This study was intended to make a comparative analysis of the plastic features of Korean and Japanese dragon patterns found in the process of recreating traditions in comtemporary fashion based on the investigation into the style of expression in relation to the origin, formative evolution, symbolism and traditional costume of the dragon. The form of the dragon has evolved with some similarity and peculiarity between both countries and been changed into many kinds and diverse forms such as the humorous dragon pattern of the Yi Dynasty and the simplified and designed dragon pattern symbolizing the Japanese family crest and the like, Its symbolism has lasted in terms of the sacrificial object, royal power, good omen, Buddhist guardian and the like. There is a difference in the aesthetic sense due to the different traditions and cultural background between Korea and Japan, and the dragon pattern found in the process of recreating the tradition in comtemporary fashion manifested itself as the peculiar aspect. An attempt was made to make a comparative analysis of the dragon pattern found in comtemporary fashion between Korea and Japan. The following results were obtained: First, the commonality between both countries was to make a contemporary expression of the dragon pattern, which was expressed in a realistic form because of a traditionally inherent strong image of the dragon. On the other hand, the designed dragon pattern rarely found expression. It can be said that carefully treating the dragon pattern is attributed to the Oriental thinking like this. Second, Korean people have arranged one or more simplified dragon patterns taking on a form of the coiling dragon in the composition of the scattered point and made a comtemporary expression of them by the contrast of black and white shading in Korea. And the humorous form of the dragon pattern manifested itself in the Yi Dynasty. On the other hand, the case of printing the dragon pattern in the black dragon sword of all over the Kabuki costume in a pictorial composition has frequently appeared in Japan. And Japanese people have expressed its lightness and briskness rather than the dignity and strength that the dragon pattern gives with the use of strong color tones and new materials.
This research is aimed at examining the characteristics of the fun fashion design in the emotional consumption era from a broad perspective, and it is meaningful in the sense that it presents the ideal direction for the development of fashion products that can satisfy the changing desires of the consumers today and tomorrow. For this, the documentary study and practical case study have been executed. This paper examined the two aspects of the fun definition when it comes to the characteristics of the fun fashion design that are manifested in the emotional consumption era. First, fun fashion design that is presented by designers from the consumers' position manifests in the form of deviation from the every day life rules, use of the child-like expression mediums and unexpected turning, fun fashion design when it pertains to the deviation from the every day life rules is expressed freely, adopts object and forms it, and mixes in the alien elements, fun fashion design when it pertains to the use of child-like expression element is manifested in the form of child-like expression, child-like expression of the form, child-like drawing, introduction of the child-like object, character and graffiti. Moreover, fun fashion design of the unexpected turn is expressed with illusion and storytelling. Next, fun fashion design from the participants' position is a design created by the active participation of the consumers. As the producers who participate actively in the product design process, design is modified by the design of participation and users so that the users can enjoy it. Likewise, it is manifested in the form of design of participation.

Bone morphogenetic protein-4 (BMP-4) is a signaling homodimeric molecule that acts as a morphogen to influence cell fate in a concentration-dependent manner. The limited supply of a pure preparation of BMP-4, due to very low level of their expression in vivo, makes it difficult not only to study the biological activities of BMPs, but also to use them as a clinical tool. For a large-scale production of BMP-4, human BMP-4 cDNA was expressed in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells by a recently development vector system, which confers position-independent stable expression of the foreign genes. The CHO cell line expressing recombinant human BMP-4 (rhBMP-4) at the level of $7\;{\mu}g/ml$ could be obtained after stepwise selection with methotrexate. This level of expression is about 70 times higher than those previously reported. The partially processed form of BMP-4 as well as mature form could be detected, when the aliquots of culture media were analyzed by Western blot. The glycosylation pattern and biological activity of the rhBMP-4 were determined by glycosidase treatment and the induction rate of alkaline phosphatase in mouse osteoblastic cells.
