  • In this article, we state and prove several new retarded nonlinear integral and integro-differential inequalities of Gronwall-Bellman-Pachpatte type. These inequalities generalize some former famous inequalities and can be used in examining the existence, uniqueness, boundedness, stability, asymptotic behaviour, quantitative and qualitative properties of solutions of nonlinear differential and integral equations. Applications are provided to demonstrate the strength of our inequalities in estimating the boundedness and global existence of the solution to initial value problem for nonlinear integro-differential equation and Volterra type retarded nonlinear equation. This research work will ensure to open the new opportunities for studying of nonlinear dynamic inequalities on time scale structure of varying nature.

  • This paper deals with the critical blow-up and extinction exponents for the non-Newton polytropic filtration equation. We reveals a fact that the equation admits two critical exponents $q_1,\;q_2\;{\in}\;(0,+{\infty})$) with $q_1\;{<}\;q_2$. In other words, when q belongs to different intervals (0, $q_1),\;(q_1,\;q_2),\;(q_2,+{\infty}$), the solution possesses complete different properties. More precisely speaking, as far as the blow-up exponent is concerned, the global existence case consists of the interval (0, $q_2$]. However, when q ${\in}\;(q_2,+{\infty}$), there exist both global solutions and blow-up solutions. As for the extinction exponent, the extinction case happens to the interval ($q_1,+{\infty}$), while for q ${\in}\;(0,\;q_1$), there exists a non-extinction bounded solution for any nonnegative initial datum. Moreover, when the critical case q = $q_1$ is concerned, the other parameter ${\lambda}$ will play an important role. In other words, when $\lambda$ belongs to different interval (0, ${\lambda}_1$) or (${\lambda}_1$,+${\infty}$), where ${\lambda}_1$ is the first eigenvalue of p-Laplacian equation with zero boundary value condition, the solution has completely different properties.

  • A method to design a boundary controller for global stabilization of three-dimensional nonlinear dynamics of flexible marine risers is presented in this paper. Equations of motion of the risers are first developed in a vector form. The boundary controller at the top end of the risers is then designed based on Lyapunov's direct method. Proof of existence and uniqueness of the solutions of the closed loop control system is carried out by using the Galerkin approximation method. It is shown that when there are no environmental disturbances, the proposed boundary controller is able to force the riser to be globally exponentially stable at its equilibrium position. When there are environmental disturbances, the riser is stabilized in the neighborhood of its equilibrium position by the proposed boundary controller.

  • We study the long-term dynamics for a family of incompressible three-dimensional Leray-α-like models that employ the spectral fractional Laplacian operators. This family of equations interpolates between incompressible hyperviscous Navier-Stokes equations and the Leray-α model when varying two nonnegative parameters 𝜃1 and 𝜃2. We prove the existence of a finite-dimensional global attractor for the continuous semigroup associated to these models. We also show that an operator which projects the weak solution of Leray-α-like models into a finite-dimensional space is determining if it annihilates the difference of two "nearby" weak solutions asymptotically, and if it satisfies an approximation inequality.

  • In this paper, we study a discrete Leslie-Gower one-predator two-prey model. By using the method of coincidence degree and some techniques, we obtain the existence of at least one positive periodic solution of the system. By linalization of the model at positive periodic solution and construction of Lyapunov function, sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure the global stability of the positive periodic solution. Numerical simulations are carried out to explain the analytical findings.

  • The use of mathematical modelling in the study of epidemiological disorders continues to grow substantially. In order to better support global policy initiatives and explain the possible consequence of an outbreak, mathematical models were constructed to forecast how epidemic illnesses spread. In this paper, fractional derivatives and (${\varpi}$ - F𝓒)-contractions are used to explore the existence and uniqueness solutions of the novel coronavirus-19 model.

  • In this paper, the guaranteed cost filtering design method for linear time delay systems with convex bounded uncertainties in discrete-time case is presented. The uncertain parameters are assumed to be unknown but belonging to known convex compact set of polytotype less conservative than norm bounded parameter uncertainty. The main purpose is to design a stable filter which minimizes the guaranteed cost. The sufficient condition for the existence of filter, the guaranteed cost filter design method, and the upper bound of the guaranteed cost are proposed. Since the proposed sufficient conditions are LMI(linear matrix inequality) forms in terms of all finding variables, all solutions can be obtained simultaneously by means of powerful convex programming tools with global convergence assured. Finally, a numerical example is given to check the validity of the proposed method.

  • This paper presents a delay dependent fuzzy H_\infty$ filter design method for delayed fuzzy dynamic systems. Using delay-dependent Lyapunov function, the global exponential stability and H_\infty$ performance problem are discussed. A sufficient condition for the existence of fuzzy filter is presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). The filter design utilize the concept of parallel distributed compensation. And the filter gains can also be directly obtained from the LMI solutions. A simulation example is given to illustrate the design procedures and performance of the proposed methods.
