  • In order to actualize the third dimension form, hologram is coming to attention because it has no restriction on viewing position and is capable of natural visual expression. Although hologram technology is the best method to embody 3D image without glasses, it is not commercialized due to several technological problems. Currently used hologram technology in concerts or exhibitions are images flashed on a 2-dimensional transparent screen by HD projectors which is similar to hologram technology, not truly same. In this research, we make 3D contents for Holographic projection and use these contents to present art that can interact with spectators. As a result of the exhibition, attendance showed satisfaction on inspection form, allowing spectators to move around the screen and view it both sides; moreover, they were enterprising to interact with the videos played according to their movements. Therefore, we are able to implement a sensible and spatio-temporal artwork along with interesting space production and represent a intimate and interactive space with the public.

  • Marine microalgae have long been used as food additives and feeds for juvenile fish and invertebrates as their nutritional content is beneficial for humans and marine aquaculture species. Recently, they have also been recognized as a promising source for cosmeceutical, nutraceutical, and pharmaceutical products as well as biofuels. Marine microalgae of various species are rich in multiple anti-oxidant phytochemicals and their bioactive components have been employed in cosmetics and dietary supplements. Oil contents in certain groups of marine microalgae are extraordinarily rich and abundant and therefore have been commercialized as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acid supplements and mass production of microalgae-based biodiesels has been demonstrated by diverse research groups. Numerous natural products from marine microalgae with significant biological activities are reported yearly and this is attributed to their unique adaptive abilities to the great diversity of marine habitats and harsh conditions of marine environments. Previously unknown toxin compounds from red tide-forming dinoflagellates have also been identified which opens up potential applications in the blue biotechnology sector. This review paper provides a brief overview of the biotechnological potentials of Korean marine microalgae. We hope that this review will provide guidance for future marine biotechnology R&D strategies and the various marine microalgae-based industries in Korea.

  • The activity to share personal daily life through social media is becoming more common. In this case, photographs as well as text are used a lot; it has been as easy as winking to clip others' photographs just as it's very easy to take and post pictures. If the picture is the photographic work protected by the copyright law, however, the clipping should be paid close attention. If you use others' photographic works without authorization, you infringe their copyright; if you post them on your social media such as blog, you infringe the right of reproduction, interactive transmission and exhibition. Even though the clipping is permitted, if you'd like to use the photographic works for a profit-making purpose, you should get additional authorization. Others' photographic works are occasionally altered and used for the purpose of avoiding the argument in relation to the infringement of copyright; this act means that it's the infringement of the right of reproduction, the right to preserve the integrity and the right of the production of derivative works for degrees of alteration. We can download others' photographic works with a few mouse clicks thanks to the technology of capturing the screen; we have to recognize that all the acts technically possible are not always legal.

  • Realistic videos using multi-view videos are created so that the contents shown on multi-view displays or screens look realistic. These images have been mostly used for special videos for exhibition, but, recently, systems such as Screen X have given rise to multi-view images as a format for storytelling contents such as movies. This study used HD-level broadcasting digital video camera with three zoom lenses for shooting wide to close-up shots focusing on a person, in the same way as Screen X, and identified and analyzed problems found during multi-view image registration correction. The results of this study suggested, provided the shooting technique and equipment are improved, the multi-view format can be used for conveying stories and information. Future research will need to investigate and supplement relevant techniques that will enable production of high-quality multi-view image contents by using a cinema-grade camera with standard lenses, instead of using broadcasting-grade zoom lenses.

  • This study suggests the possibility of a product integration of cookware and eco-friendly food culture as a new product, not merely a product for exhibition purpose. In order to, in addition to that, reflect the design produced in this project to be commercialized, it can be considered to make prototype products through a separate production processes including 3D rendering, 3D mock up. After that, various product expansions can be considered through consultation with manufacturers. This study offers the cookware product design, such as steak fans, which can be applied both domestic and international markets; everyone can cook food or grill meats to suit their tastes. It is well suited to the modern food culture with advance functions that can't be found in the existing grill fans, and it can lead the cookware product trends that seeks the originality and innovation with its design which can get across in aspects of emotion and appearance.

  • The evaluation of art has been historically based on the thorough reliance on the subjectivity of beholders due to the fact that the production and appreciation of works of art is founded on the similar(subjective) value. There had been little attempt to reverse such tendency by creating an objective and quantitative checklist for evaluating a work of art. Centering on the evaluation of the Media Art, which increased dramatically in numbers since the late 1960s, this is an attempt in systematizing the quantitative evaluation of Media Art by reflecting the idea of subjective criticism as well as its medium specificity. As such, the criteria for the evaluation consist of media evaluation, work evaluation, appreciation evaluation, product evaluation and exhibition evaluation. The evaluators can be divided into the general public, the Media Art specialist and the curatorial staff, according to their experiences in dealing with the Media Art. Based on the result of the FGD, the weight has been added to the evaluation system according to each evaluation criteria to ensure the balance between the objective and subjective criticism.

  • FTA is one of the most important trade policies for the motor car industry. Due to the large amount of employment and production the motor car industry provides in a country, in a lot of cases, the protective trade policies that countries employ are targeted for the motor car industry. In this point of view, it can be said that the Latin American FTA strategy such as the 'Korea-Columbia FTA', 'Korea-Peru FTA' and 'Korea-Chile FTA' has a large influence in the development of Korea's car industry. This paper analyses changes in factors influencing car export before and after the signing of the Korea-Chile FTA to forecast the export of motor cars to Latin America and aims to propose an action plan. Research shows that out of the variables 'exchange rate', 'GDP', and 'oil price, 'GDP' showed a strong corelation with export before and after the FTA. Regression analysis also showed that only 'GDP' has an impact on export rates and that its impact is most highest after the exhibition of FTA's effects. This suggests that FTA has an important effect in motor car export to Latin America but export is also strongly interlocked with the local country's economic condition which highlights the requirement for an action plan such as the establishment of local production systems.
