This paper analyzed the modern trends and the present state of kitchen furniture and electric appliances depending on the advancement in IOT technology, in order to contribute to seeking a method of approaching consumers as an effective way for kitchen furniture and electric appliance companies to develop IOT products. Prior to analysis, the chronological transitions of Korean kitchen furniture and examined the effects of Korea's own emotions and characteristics on modern kitchen. For this study, the changes in Korean kitchen space were explored, based on previous studies, recent trend magazines, articles and professional books and the trends of modern kitchen furniture were observed. Also, the concept of IOT technology was considered and then the tendencies of modern IOT kitchen furniture and electric appliances were analyzed. The case study targeted the recent three-year trends of two types of domestic kitchen furniture and small-sized IOT kitchen electric appliances, which are sold, or have been introduced on foreign online stores and have been unveiled at CES Electric Appliances Exhibition. As a result of the study, it was found that many foreign countries, including the US have been developing various IOT kitchen electric appliances. The enterprise concept is to change kitchen with their IOT products, not changing future kitchen with IOT technology. This implies that approaches to product development may change. Moreover, it was recognized that for kitchen design, characteristics of product users need to be considered, according to Korean ideology.
The change of idea about overall politics, society, technology, and culture in 20th century led to the change of kitchen which is the central space of household affairs as well. Frankfurt kitchen of Margarete Schuette Lihotzky which was introduced for the first time at Germany International Trade Exhibition in 1927 functionally designed small space of $6.5m^2$ with considering move-line and convenience. This is the beginning of kitchen type which has built-in sink and cupboard that is regarded as an universal option these days, and this has extensively been applied to kitchen system throughout the world after the repetitive development in America, Sweden and Switzerland. And improved kitchen of Park Gil-Yong which was influenced by rationalism introduced from the house improvement campaign and the opening of a port which were progressed in Korea in $1919{\sim}1930$ is the first stand-up kitchen which improved the inefficiency of Korean conventional kitchen. The purpose of this study is to understand the change aspect of kitchen through the rationalization in each country by comparing the introduction background of the times, change of space for residence and kitchen, and the characteristics of kitchen plan which had influence at the turning point on the kitchen in Korea, Europe on the side of efficiency at the same period, take into consideration of our residing-culture which has rapidly been changed between tradition and modernity, and to see the direction of kitchen design which copes with the unique residential environment.
Foundation Beyeler museum located near Basel, Switzerland is one of the most-visited art museum of the world. Although the entire volume of the museum is not huge, its art collection as well as the well-known museum building designed by Renzo Piano deserve to attract many visitors. The initial design was started in 1991 when the city of Basel decided to fund and support the project. Through a couple of design stages, the museum was finally opened to public in 1997. There have been various research papers dealt with general design issues of Beyeler museum such as composition of exhibition spaces, and natural lighting. However, this paper aims to study the design methods and relationship between art, architecture and nature. Although the museum building is located on the site quietly, there are various specific design solutions to create unique spatial experience of art and nature at each parts. This study focuses on 4 parts of the museum that are located on the main circulation. How art, architecture and nature are integrated together is the main target of the analysis. The analysis is based on visual-perceptual experience and spatial configuration. In chapter 2, general background of the project was studied. In chapter 3, characteristics of the site's natural environment and Piano's design concept's were examined. In chapter 4, each parts were analyzed in detail with diagrams. In chapter 5 & 6, the spatial characteristics were compared together and the fundamental role of the museum architecture was concluded.

2008 Korea-Japan Cartoon Festival is a cultural enterprise, sponsored by 8 cities of Korea and Japan. 8 cities include Pusan, Choen Nam Province, Kyung Nam Province, Cheju, Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, and Yamaguchi. It was held under the sponsorship of Fukuoka, Japan, in 2007. In 2008, it was held in Pusan under the sponsorship of Korea Character Designers' Association and Pusan Becksko. Even though local autonomous entities, recently, sponsor various Festivals, 2008 Korea-Japan Cartoon Festival has so unique characteristics that it is appropriate for paper. Unique characteristics of this Festival include that it is held only two years and it is for amity of young people of East Asia. In 2008 Korea-Japan Cartoon Festival, there were cartoon contest, exhibition, seminar, and experience event. It would be the basic ideas for industries of characters, animations and games, and would broaden cultural interchange between Korea and Japan.
The purpose of the study is to examine the characteristics of the ideal housing for the modern family suggested by the Home Exposition (September, 1915) under the Japanese colonial rule in the macroscopic context of social change and the microscopic context of family. Through this research, we expect to have a partial understanding not only of changes in the outward appearance of traditional housing spaces during the civilization period and the early Japanese colonial rule when foreign cultures began to be introduced but also of families'residential lives and the patterns of change in people's consciousness of housing. Major conclusions from the current analysis are as follows. First, there were some changes in family paradigm induced through a home exhibition. Second, the most important factor for an ideal housing was that it must be the source of harmonic and healthy family life. Third, the importance of an appropriate space norm should be emphasized by providing the minimum size of each room. Fourth, the significance of the housing values of the economy, convenience, and hygiene should be emphasized for the ideal housing. Lastly, it was implied that for an ideal housing, the social and psychological aspects of housing must be satisfied along with the physical aspects. The limitation was that the model of ideal family housing presented in the Home Exposition cannot exclude the characteristics of the colonial perspectives in that it was followed by the model for the Japanese families.

Architecture is widely regarded as one of important fields representing their own culture. In most cities of our nation, there has been the tendencies of negligence in keeping its record properly to be used. So, the purpose of this study is to collect the basic informations and analyse them to develop the appropriate programs for us. This study aims to offer fundamental characteristics of functional configurations in architectural museums through comparative analysis between korean and foreign museums. In so doing, it deals with the relationship between identity of museum policy and its spatial program such as archiving center, exhibition center and communication-research center. For the prove of such relationship this study attempt to compare multiple cases such as MAXXI, Nai etc. Finally this study propose that, in considering the establishment of a new architectural museum, the space program should be considered as a continuous changing process in order to make the museum as a cultural multi-complex.
The digital technology that has brought about the information revolution acts as the causes of multi-faceted socio-cultural phenomena. The spread of the digital environment and the popularity of the digital devices accelerate the phenomenon or the fusion of culture and technology, and such a phenomenon is no exception in the fashion design. Namely, the combination of fashion design and digital-based technology draws more and more attention; Not only the technology is simply applied to the fashion design, but also it is used as an emotional tool to enhance consumers' satisfaction, while some designs and marketing cases stimulating consumers' emotion are highlighted importantly. This study was aimed at surveying and analyzing the contemporary fashion using the digital technology and thereupon, assessing the characteristics of the emotional representations of technology as well as their aesthetic values. To this end, the theory of 'science of emotion and sensibility' was applied to divide the characteristics of emotional technological expressions in the contemporary fashion into immateriality, non-boundary, multi-media and interaction, while the aesthetic values of the emotional technology immanent in the contemporary fashion were categorized into communication & participation, conceptual configuration, physical expansion and variable movement. This study analyzed uses of technology for human emotion and sensibility shown in not only collections but also communication media and exhibition spaces and thereby, suggested the direction for our fashion industry to fulfill consumers' changing needs and advance further.
Lately, unique hats, which worn by iconic figures in fashion industry, like Anna Piaggi and Isabella Blow to express the originality and self-awareness, received attention from the mass media along with their styles. The purpose of this research is to investigate, analyze, and media-specific characteristics of objet hats which are used to show various items, shape up targets, and express the concept of attires. In order to fulfill this, this study focuses on objet hat designers who have been influential from the 1980's to recent years. As for the research methodologies, this study conducts investigating examples from fashion related books, research papers, and websites along with literary research. Study of objet hat is based on cases and works of designer in objet hat in contemporary fashion expression shape. As a result, objet hat, First, the experimental work to maximize the effectiveness as a fashion objet containing the concept of designer in the runway shows. Second, as pieces displayed on art galleries and museums, objet hats are recognized as artistically defined world of conceptual designers' imaginations. Third, objet hats function as ways of celebrities' expression, who affects the public as fashion leaders. Lastly, objet hat designers's activities operate the story and notion contained in the work through a variety of genres. Objet hats, an independent fashion genre, which symbolize creativity and freedom, influenced the fashion industry with astonishing materials, forms, and decorations.
Catalogue raisonne is a holistic work record of artist which describes academically significant record information related to works by cataloging major works of an artist. Such catalogue raisonne is used as research material for exhibition planner and researchers and even used as fundamental material for winnowing out authenticity of work. Compilation of domestic catalogue raisonne is at an opening step, but in foreign countries, the art related institutions and artist foundations play key role in compiling catalogue raisonne of artists. Cataloge raisonne is an essential element of record about the art work and relevant information. However, as the description of catalogue raisonne can vary in accordance with characteristics of artist and art work. Therefore, this study has analyzed catalogue raisonnes of artists published in foreign countries, examined the characteristics and description element of catalogue raisonne in details and aims to contribute to compilation of catalogue raisonne of authoritative domestic artists.
The number of visitors to historic sites and museums in Korea has been on a rapid decrease and in order to search for creative ways to work on the problem, the study proposed a theme park-typed museum with cultural heritage applied and reviewed spatial strategies for such theme park-typed museums. Applied methods of research of this study are as follows. First, in order to understand definitions and current situations of cultural heritage use and theme park-typed museums, the study went thoroughly over all sorts of literature and reports as well as findings of advance researches on how to make a use of cultural heritage. Based on the results of the investigations, the study determined characteristics of the theme park-typed museums with cultural heritage applied which the study was proposing and the characteristics were categorized by type. Considering those characteristics and types gained in the study, the study looked for cultural heritage-based theme parks and museums in the world which were good enough to be used as research subjects in the study from the aspects of profitability and level of awareness. The study examined those theme parks and museums in the world and in the end, it found out ways to adopt the findings to the situations in Korea and discussed expecting effects as well. As to the characteristics of the theme park-typed museums with cultural heritage applied, the study divided those characteristics into mutual cooperation, location, communicability, authenticity, maintainability, education, durability, narrativity, undailiness, interactivity and leisure. The types were categorized into ride, environment direction, cartoon character and souvenir by attraction pattern. When cultural heritage is used actively, it would improve competitiveness of historic cultural sites and museums in return, making people realize the iterative structure of excavation, conservation, maintenance and use of cultural heritage. That would create many kinds of added values, re-discovering culture of the country. At the same time, it would also create a new value of culture as well. Now, it is important for us to do harder with researches on how to evolve museums and exhibition spaces. Considering that, the study is believed to make a contribution to revival of historic sites and museums in Korea but also establishment of scientific strategies.
