CDGPS를 이용한 도깨비 도로의 정밀 측위 (Precise Survey of Dokaebi Road Using CDGPS)

  • 미지 정수가 올바로 결정된 GPS 반송파 위상을 사용하면 cm 수준의 높은 위치 정확도가 요구되는 정밀 측위를 수행할 수 있다. 제주도 도깨비 도로는 착시 현상으로 인해 육안으로는 올바른 경사도를 파악할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 반송파 보정 위성 항법 시스템의 높은 위치 정확도를 이용하여 제주도 도깨비 도로의 정확한 경사도를 계산하기 위해 동적 측위 실험을 수행하였다. 반송파 보정 위성 항법 시스템을 사용하여 실험 데이터를 후처리한 결과, cm 수준의 정확도로 도깨비 도로 노면의 정확한 형태를 알 수 있었다.

  • Main goal of this study is to develop MATLAB programming for exact analysis of distortional deformation of the straight box girder. For this purpose, a theory for distortional deformation theory is firstly summarized and then a BEF (Beam on Elastic Foundation) theory is presented using analogy of the corresponding variables. Finally, the governing equation of the beam-column element on elastic foundation is derived. An element stiffness matrix of the beam element is established via a generalized linear eigenvalue problem. In order to verify the efficiency and accuracy of the element using exact dynamic stiffness matrix, buckling loads for the continuous beam structures with elastic foundation and distortional deformations of box girders are calculated.

  • Some previous works for nearest neighbor (NN) query processing technique can treat a case that query/data are both moving objects. However, they cannot find exact result owing to vagueness of criterion. In order to escape their limitations and get exact result, we propose new NN query techniques, exact CTNN (continuous trajectory NN) query, approximate CTNN query, and dynamic CTNN query. These are all superior to pervious works, by reducing of number of calculation, considering of trajectory information, and using of continuous query concept. Using these techniques, we can solve any situations and types of NN query in location-aware environment.

항공 영상에서의 인공지물의 정확한 경계 추출 (The Extraction of Exact Building Contours in Aerial Images)

  • In this paper, an algorithm that finds man-made structures in a praylevel aerial images is proposed to perform stereo matching. An extracted contour of buildings must have a high accuracy in order to get a good feature-based stereo matching result. Therefore this study focuses on the use of edge following in the original image rather than use of ordinary edge filters. The Algorithm is composed of two main categories; one is to find candidate regions in the whole image and the other is to extract exact contours of each building which each candidate region.. The region growing method using the centroid linkage method of variance value is used to find candidate regions of building and the contour line tracing algorithm based on an adge following method is used to extract exact contours. The result shows that the almost contours of building composed of line segments are extracted.

Exact analysis of bi-directional functionally graded beams with arbitrary boundary conditions via the symplectic approach

  • Elasticity solutions for bi-directional functionally graded beams subjected to arbitrary lateral loads are conducted, with emphasis on the end effects. The material is considered macroscopically isotropic, with Young's modulus varying exponentially in both axial and thickness directions, while Poisson's ratio remaining constant. In order to obtain an exact analysis of stress and displacement fields, the symplectic analysis based on Hamiltonian state space approach is employed. The capability of the symplectic framework for exact analysis of bi-directional functionally graded beams has been validated by comparing numerical results with corresponding ones in open literature. Numerical results are provided to demonstrate the influences of the material gradations on localized stress distributions. Thus, the material properties of the bi-directional functionally graded beam can be tailored for the potential practical purpose by choosing suitable graded indices.

  • Generalized Pareto distribution play an important role in reliability, extreme value theory, and other branches of applied probability and statistics. This family of distribution includes exponential distribution, Pareto or Lomax distribution. In this paper, we established exact expressions and recurrence relations satised by the quotient moments of generalized order statistics for a generalized Pareto distribution. Further the results for quotient moments of order statistics and records are deduced from the relations obtained and a theorem for characterizing this distribution is presented.

  • Considerable efforts are required to develop a monotone, robust and stable high-order numerical scheme for solving the hyperbolic system. The discontinuous Galerkin(DG) method is a natural choice, but elimination of the spurious oscillations from the high-order solutions demands a new development of proper limiters for the DG method. There are several available limiters for controlling or removing unphysical oscillations from the high-order approximate solution; however, very few studies were directed to analyze the exact role of the limiters in the hyperbolic systems. In this study, the performance of the several well-known limiters is examined by comparing the high-order($p^1$, $p^2$, and $p^3$) approximate solutions with the exact solutions. It is shown that the accuracy of the limiter is in general problem-dependent, although the Hermite WENO limiter and maximum principle limiter perform better than the TVD and generalized moment limiters for most of the test cases. It is also shown that application of the troubled cell indicators may improve the accuracy of the limiters under some specific conditions.

  • In this paper, a general technique is proposed for solving a system of fourth-order boundary value problems. The solution is given in the form of series and its approximate solution is obtained by truncating the series. Advantages of the method are that the representation of exact solution is obtained in a new reproducing kernel Hilbert space and accuracy of numerical computation is higher. Numerical results show that the method employed in the paper is valid. Numerical evidence is presented to show the applicability and superiority of the new method.

  • One of the roles of the Semantic Web services is to execute dynamic intra-organizational services including the integration and interoperation of business processes. Since different organizations design their processes differently, the retrieval of similar semantic business processes is necessary in order to support inter-organizational collaborations. Most approaches for finding services that have certain features and support certain business processes have relied on some type of logical reasoning and exact matching. This paper presents our approach of using imprecise matching fur expanding results from an exact matching engine to query the OWL MIT Process Handbook. In order to use the MIT Process Handbook for process retrieval experiments, we had to export it into an OWL-based format. We model the Process Handbook meta-model in OWL and export the processes in the Handbook as instances of the meta-model. Next, we need to find a sizable number of queries and their corresponding correct answers in the Process Handbook. We devise diverse similarity algorithms based on values of process attributes and structures of business processes. We perform retrieval experiments to compare the performance of the devised similarity algorithms.

Static output feedback pole assignment of 2-input, 2-output, 4th order systems in Grassmann space

  • It is presented in this paper that the static output feedback (SOF) pole-assignment problem of some linear time-invariant systems can be completely resolved by parametrization in real Grassmann space. For the real Grassmannian parametrization, the so-called Plucker matrix is utilized as a linear matrix formula formulated from the SOF variable's coefficients of a characteristic polynomial constrained in Grassmann space. It is found that the exact SOF pole assignability is determined by the linear independency of columns of Plucker sub-matrix and by full-rank of that sub-matrix. It is also presented that previous diverse pole-assignment methods and various computation algorithms of the real SOF gains for 2-input, 2-output, 4th order systems are unified in a deterministic way within this real Grassmannian parametrization method.
