통신위성용 안테나 테스트 레인지 (Antenna Test Range for Telecommunication Satellite)

  • 통신위성 (RF 탑재체 위성)은 고효율 및 고이득 반사경 안테나를 포함하는 통신 탑재체 시스템과 버스 시스템으로 구성되어 있어, 이들 시스템에 대한 RF 특성 검증시험은 발사 전에 이루어져야 한다. 일반적으로 통신위성용 안테나의 복사패턴은 원거리 조건을 충분히 만족할 수 있는 테스트 레인지에서 측정된다. 통신위성용 안테나의 복사패턴을 정밀하게 측정하기 위한 테스트 레인지는 급전점과 관측점 사이의 거리가 수십에서 수천 킬로미터까지 필요하다. 급전점과 관측점 사이의 거리가 먼경우, 외부의 복잡한 RF (radio frequency) 환경에 노출되어 정밀한 측정이 어렵게 되고, 기후의 변화에 따른 측정의 제약을 갖게 된다. 이러한 문제점을 고려하여 외부환경으로부터 영향을 받지 않는 안테나 테스트 레인지가 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 현재 진행되고 있는 통신해양기상위성을 비롯하여 앞으로 개발하게 될 통신위성 시스템의 탑재 안테나 및 RF 성능시험을 수행하기 위한 안테나 테스트 레인지의 구성과 레인지 오차 및 평면파의 생성원리를 고찰하구 정밀측정에 부합되는 전파무향실의 설계와 이에 따른 성능 파라미터를 제시하고자 한다.

  • 인체기능 측정장치를 설계한 것으로 체온계를 계수형 계기로 설계보험하였고, 맥박과 혈압측정장치 설계를 위한 기초실험을 하였다. 종래의 복잡한 아날로그식의 변환과정을 모두 제거하고, 온도제어 주파수변환회로를 설계하여, 직접 온도에서 주파수로 A/D 변환을 행하였다. 기온범위에서 ±0.05℃의 오차한계를 얻었다. This paper deals with a method of measuring the temperature, purse, and pressure of a human body The temperature controlled oscillator was designed with a thermistor as a temperature measuring part The error in temperature was less than ±0.05℃ in the range of the temperature of a human body.

레이저 구조광을 이용한 3차원 컴퓨터 시각 형상정보 연속 측정 시스템 개발 (Development of the Computer Vision based Continuous 3-D Feature Extraction System via Laser Structured Lighting)

  • A system to extract continuously the real 3-D geometric fearture information from 2-D image of an object, which is fed randomly via conveyor has been developed. Two sets of structured laser lightings were utilized. And the laser structured light projection image was acquired using the camera from the signal of the photo-sensor mounted on the conveyor. Camera coordinate calibration matrix was obtained, which transforms 2-D image coordinate information into 3-D world space coordinate using known 6 points. The maximum error after calibration showed 1.5 mm within the height range of 103mm. The correlation equation between the shift amount of the laser light and the height was generated. Height information estimated after correlation showed the maximum error of 0.4mm within the height range of 103mm. An interactive 3-D geometric feature extracting software was developed using Microsoft Visual C++ 4.0 under Windows system environment. Extracted 3-D geometric feature information was reconstructed into 3-D surface using MATLAB.

저항기를 이용한 계기용 변성기 부담 자동 평가 장치 개발 (Development of Automatic Evaluation Equipment for Burden of Instrument Transformer using Resistor Simulator)

  • The error of instrument transformers is measured by connecting the external burden with the secondary terminal of the instrument transformers. Because the error of transformer is affected by the apparent power and power factor of the external burden, an accurate measurement of burden is important for transformer evaluation. We have developed the burden evaluation equipment for both potential transformer and current transformer by employing the series resistor in the range of $20m{\Omega}{\sim}5{\Omega}$ and the parallel resistor in the range of $1M{\Omega}{\sim}500{\Omega}$, respectively, together with visual basic program. We could reduce testing time more than 5 times by employing method developed in this study, compared with that developed in past. This method shows more better reliability by analyzing the evaluation results and fitting graphs of burden measurements. The test results of the developed system is compared with those obtained in the power meter analyzer to verify the validity.

  • A mobile robot localization problem can be classified into following three sub-problems as an observation likelihood model, a motion model and a filtering technique. So far, we have developed the range sensor based, integrated localization scheme, which can be used in human-coexisting real environment such as a science museum and office buildings. From those experiences, we found out that there are several significant issues to be solved. In this paper, we focus on three key issues, and then illustrate our solutions to the presented problems. Three issues are listed as follows: (1) Investigation of design requirements of a desirable observation likelihood model, and performance analysis of our design (2) Performance evaluation of the localization result by computing the matching error (3) The semi-global localization scheme to deal with localization failure due to abrupt wheel slippage In this paper, we show the significance of each concept, developed solutions and the experimental results. Experiments were carried out in a typical modern building environment, and the results clearly show that the proposed solutions are useful to develop practical and integrated localization schemes.

  • 본 논문에서는 FTTH에 적용하기 적합한 넓은 입력 다이나믹 레인지와 낮은 비트 에러율을 갖는 CMOS 광수신기의 설계를 제안한다. 트랜스임피던스 전치증폭기의 PMOS 피드백 저항을 자신의 출력 신호의 크기에 따라 제어하여 100Mbps까지 60dB의 입력 다이나믹 레인지를 얻었다. 듀티 에러를 최소화시키기 위해 전류 거울 형태의 자동 바이어스 조절 회로를 설계하였다. 2-폴리, 3-메탈, 0.6um CMOS 공정 파라미터를 사용하여 회로 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 설계된 수신기는 5V의 전원을 사용할 때 100Mbps에서 130mW 이하의 전력 소비를 보였다.

Measurement of Complex Modulus of Acoustic Materials by Using Transfer Function Method

  • Two improvements are discussed in measurement of the complex Young's modulus of the acoustic materials by using the transfer function method. It is found that the accelerometer misalignment might result in the severe measurement error, particularly in high frequency range. The supporting structure is modified to attach the upper and lower accelerometers along the vertical axis. Secondly, the method fur solving the equation associated with wave model is described. The solution of the lumped mass-spring model is chosen as the starting value for low frequency range, while in the mid and high frequency, the solution to the previous frequency step is used as the initial values. Measurements are done for hard and soft rubber specimens. It is shown that the erroneous peaks in the transfer function, due to the measurement error, cause highly incorrect Young's modulus and loss factors.

  • 본 논문은 3 GPP 규격을 바탕으로 한 W-CDMA UE 시스템의 RF 성능관련 내용을 다루고 있으며 송수신 파라미터를 RF 성능관점에서 유출하였다. 최적의 UE성능을 얻기 위해 송신기에 대해서는 ACLR, EVM, 피크코드영역 에러, 스펙트럼 방사 마스크, 주파수 오차 안정도, 송신전력제어 범위와 같은 성능 요구사항을 고찰하였고 수신기에 대해서는 수신 감도, 블록킹 특성, 잡음지수, 인접채널 선택도, 수신 ACC 범위 등이 고려되었다. 요구된 파라미터들을 근거로 UE RF 트랜시버를 구현하였고 실제 측정 시나리오에 따라서 RF 성능평가를 수행하였다.

  • MRDS is a short range missile/rocket defense system which protects a main battle tank(MBT) from threats in a short range. It is composed of 2 radars, 2 infrared trackers(IRTs), 1 fire control computer(FCC), 2 launchers and countermeasures. To guarantee the performance of the MRDS, these components have to be mounted on the vehicle with the known positions and directions and it is required to compensate the alignment errors. In this paper, a system alignment method using angular error compensation is proposed to install its components within a tolerance on the MBT. The test results are presented to evaluate and verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Automatic Control of Fraction of Inspired Oxygen in Neonatal Oxygen Therapy using Fuzzy Logic Control

  • Premature babies of less than 37 weeks gestation might require oxygen therapy as an integral part of treatment and respiratory support. Because of their under-developed lungs, these so-called "preemies" might contract respiratory distress syndrome (RDS). To treat RDS, neonatal oxygen therapy is administered, where controlled oxygen gas is measured as a fraction of inspired oxygen ($FiO_2$). However, exposure to high oxygen content during long treatment could cause oxygen intoxication, which might cause permanent blindness due to retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), whereas insufficient oxygen exposure could cause severe hypoxia. A doctor would use oxygen saturation ($SpO_2$) data and prescribe a dose of $FiO_2$ to maintain $SpO_2$ within a suitable range. One objective is to maintain $SpO_2$ within the acceptable range using $FiO_2$ that is as low as possible. Adjustment of $FiO_2$ would normally be done by nurses every 15 to 30 minutes, which might not be safe in many situations. An error in $FiO_2$ adjustment during a manual procedure could be as large as +/- 2.5%. This paper presents a system that can determine an $FiO_2$ value suitable to the current $SpO_2$ and that automatically adjusts $FiO_2$ with an error clearance of +/- 0.25%.
