Characteristics Simulation of Electronics Cooling for a High-Temperature Superconducting Flux Flow Transistor Circuit (고온 초전도 자속흐름 트랜지스터에 적용된 전자냉각 특성 시뮬레이션)

  • An equivalent circuit for the superconductor flux flow transistor(SFFT) was combined with high temperature cooling device, based on the analogy between thermal and electrical variables using the high-temperature superconductor(HTS), is proposed. The device is composed of parallel weak links with a nearby magnetic control line. A model has been developed that is based on solving the equation of motion of Abrikosov vortices subject to Lorentz viscous and pinning forces as well as magnetic surface barriers. The use of thermal models the global performance of thermal cooling circuit and signal system to be checked by using electrical circuit analysis programs such as SPICE.

  • The mechanical floating-mass which is analogous to an electrical floating- capacitance may not come across because a mass element in a mechanical network must be attracted to rho ground which is the reference point. In this study the mechanical floating-mass is fonstructed by employing two simple support levers, one link, one mass, and four frictionless hearings. It also shows that the mechanical device can be used to give various equivalent masses by altering the arm ratio of the levers.

  • A four-bar mechanism in consideration of the tolerances on link lengths and the clearances in joints is optimally designed by the method of stochastic analysis. The random nature of clearances and tolerances establishes a stochastic optimization design equation in which the parameters in the equation are described by random variables. In order to solve the design equation, the stochastic problem is converted into an equivalent deterministic one. The synthesis of four-bar mechanism for minimum mechanical and structural errors is carried out by the optimization techni- ques using Chebyshev spacing of precision points. By the results from the synthesized mechanism, the generated and desired motions are examined.

  • Recently many dynamics control algorithms using robot dynamic equation have been proposed. One of them, Kawato's feedback error learning scheme requires neither an accurate model nor parameter estimation and makes the robot motion closer to the desired trajectory by repeating operation. In this paper, the feedback error learning algorithm is implemented to control a robot system, 5 DOF revolute type movemaster. For this purpose, an actuator dynamic model is constructed considering equivalent robot dynamics model with respect to actuator as well as friction model. The command input acquired from the actuator dynamic model is the sum of products of unknown parameters and known functions. To compute the control algorithm, a parallel processing computer, transputer, is used and real-time computing is achieved. The experiment is done for the three major link of movemaster and its result is presented.

  • An accurate tip position control of a single-link flexible manipulator subjected to torque disturbance is achieved by utilizing so called sliding mode controller with disturbance estimation (SMCDE). After formulating the governing equation of motion in the state 1pace representation, a stable sliding surface is designed via the LQR method. The SMCDE is then synthesized by integrating equivalent sliding mode controller with the disturbance estimator which is featured by an integrated average value of the imposed disturbance over a certain sampling period. The regulating tip motion of the flexible manipulator is evaluated by employing the proposed SMCDE.

  • This paper considers the problems of martingale measures and risk-minimizing hedging strategies in the market with restricted information. By constructing a general restricted information market model, the explicit relation of arbitrage and the minimal martingale measure between two different information markets are discussed. Also a link among all equivalent martingale measures under restricted information market is given. As an example of restricted information markets, this paper constitutes a jump-diffusion process model and presents a risk minimizing problem under different information. Through $It\hat{o}$ formula and projection results in Schweizer[13], the explicit optimal strategy for different market information are given.

  • The compensation strategy of shunt active power filters is one of the most important link that determine its compensation characteristics. In this paper, a new interpretation of the instantaneous reactive power theory in three-phase circuits was proposed. A compensation strategy (ip, iq mode) was introduced on the basis of the new interpretation. This compensation strategy was compared with other two compensation strategies(P, q mode and UPF mode). When source voltage is distorted, a sinusoidal, the three compensation strategies are equivalent to each other. When source voltage is distorted, a sinusoidal source current may result only by using ip, iq mode. This is the advantage of ip, iq mode. The result is verified by simulation.

  • This paper presents a study on the dimming control of electrodeless fluorescent lamp. To do this the equivalent model of electrodeless fluorescent lamp (ENDURA 100w Type) was first established. The resulted model of the lamp was applied to the two kinds of dimming control method, one is the variable switching frequency method and the other is the variable dc link voltage method. And the comparison results of the dimming characteristics between the two methods was presented. Theoretical predictions were verified by the experimental results on the ENDURA 100W type electrodeless fluorescent lame.

  • In this paper, a field trial of the Korean-made optical fiber communication system is described. This system was installed between Gu-Ro and Ann-Yang telephone offices on November 1981, and carries a 44.7Mb/s NRZ signal(672 voice channel equivalent). For this trial, optical fiber cable, optical terminal equipment, optical repeater, fusion splicer and measurement equipment have been developed. Employing graded index optical fiber at a wave length of $0.85\;\mu\textrm{m}$, average optical attenuation and splicing losses of 3.6 dB/km and 0.4 dB, resectively, were realized. With link margins of 8~20dB and bit error rate of less than $10^{-10}$, this system has been carrying live traffic between Seoul and Ann Yang telephone offices.

  • Rapid time variations of the mobile communication channel have a dramatic effect on the performance of multi-carrier modulation. This paper analyzed the bit error rate (BER) performance for multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) network, and derived the equivalent signal-to-total noise plus interference(SNIR) of MC-CDMA system in the reverse link, the performance of MC-CDMA/BPSK signal is evaluated taking into account the fraction of partial-band interference and interference power. and the effect of partial-band interference is comprehensively studied in order to further improve the Qos of multi-carrier multimedia system.
