We study the paper Zhernovyi and Zhernovyi [Zhernovyi, K.Y. and Y.V. Zhernovyi, "An $M^{\Theta}/G/1/m$ system with two-threshold hysteresis strategy of service intensity switching," Journal of Communications and Electronics, Vol.12, No.2(2012), pp.127-140]. In the paper, authors used the Korolyuk potential method to obtain the stationary queue length distribution. Instead, our note makes an attempt to apply the most frequently used methods : the embedded Markov chain and the supplementary variable method. We derive the queue length distribution at a customer's departure epoch and then at an arbitrary epoch.

We present the preliminary algorithms for automatic sleep scoring. According to the Rechtschaffen & Kales[3]'s critera, we developed six events detectors and eight parameters which contain the background information of signals, such as EEG, EMG, EOG. With the calculated parameters, we scored each epoch by IF-THEN rules, ANFIS for REM preiods, and finally Neural Network for unobvious epochs. The typical point of this algorithm is that the epoch which had good data sets were calculated in the first stage, and unobvious epochs were postponed until the final stage. After staging the good epochs, we classified unobvious epochs by the dominant stage of previous and posterior epochs.

Lyman alpha photons emitted from the early generation galaxies are scattered through the intergalactic medium, and can be observed as Lyman alpha emitting sources. We examine the Lyman alpha line transfer mechanism by tracing the random scattering histories of Lyman alpha photons in the intergalactic medium of the early universe. The density and ionization fields are based on the 3D map by N-body + radiation transfer simulations of the epoch of reionization. The calculation is compared with analytical models, too. The emergent line profile and the size of the Lyman alpha blob are strongly tied to the density and ionization environment, likely to give constraints when high-z Lyman alpha blobs are observed.

We have analyzed the content of the Korean stone star chart. Ch'on-Sang-Yul-Cha-Bun-Ya-Ji-Do(here-after Ch'on-Sang-Do). In the star map we have found 1468 stars, 4 more than the Chinese star catalog Bo-Chun-Ga. The four extra stars form a constellation, Jong Dae Boo. The map projection law used in the star chart is found to be the polar equtorial and equidistance projection. The linear distance of an object on Ch'on-Sang-Do from the center is linearly proportional to the north polar angular distance. We have found from a statistical analysis that most stars with declination lower than 50 are at positions representing the epoch of around the first century. On the other hand, stars near the north pole with declination higher than 50 are at the epoch of about 1300, which is close to the time the chart was engraved. This implies that the original Ko-Gu-Rye Dynasty's star chart has been revised by astronomers of Cho-Sun Dynasty. We have also shown that stars on Ch'on-Sang-Do are engraved in such a way that their area is linearly proportional to the visual magnitude.

DS-CDMA is used to widely spread spectrum for a cellular mobile digital communication that maximizing users- capacity at the limited frequency bandwidth, solving technical matters with the channel. Especially, the capability of a spread spectrum receiver relied on fast code acquisition time at the demodulation. In this paper, we considered that fast code acquisition time when a spread spectrum system is designed, and existed code acquisition system set up one code epoch on a position at initial processing, but the proposed code acquisition system improved that two code epoch are set up at the same time, therefore code acquisition time is diminished in effect. Ionization of hydrogen occurs globally in our universe. The epoch of this cosmic reionization may be probed by various observations, among which the 21cm observation of neutral hydrogen at high redshift is the most promising candidate. In order to provide a mock data, we have performed the first, self-consistent simulation of cosmic reionization. We account for all possible UV-radiating sources which reside in halos ranging from minihalos to atomically-cooling halos. In order to simulate the contribution from Pop III objects, we also calculate the radiative transfer of Lyman-Werner radiation and apply a suppression criterion for Pop III objects. Our priliminary result indicates that Pop III objects ionize the universe at very high redshift and create rich, small-scale bubble structure, while sources in atomically-cooling halos ionize the universe at relatively low redshift and create large-scale bubble structure. We discuss how these two different scales and epoch may be probed by future 21cm observations.

1. In the late second century A.D. the dalmatic, which originated in Orient, came into fashion in the Roman world. 2. It was first introduced as a vestment in public worship by Pope Sylvester I (314-335A.D.) who ordered it to be worn by the deacons. 3. The dalmatic was cut like a tunic, but wider, and with wide short sleeves. It was worn without belt, and was characteristically decorated by the clavus. Its shape, which is the form of a cross, refer to the passion of Christ. It symbolizes joy, salvation and justice. 4. In early christian epoch, colors was found in the Bible. 5. Clavus running from the shoulders to the hem in front and back represented as 'The servant of God', and symbolized the Blood of Christ. With time, clavi change from simple stripes to decorative ones.

An online survey was conducted to assess motivations for using, reliance on, and perceived credibility of political blogs and microblogs during both the Taiwanese general election of 2009 (the blog epoch) and the presidential elections of 2012 (the microblog epoch). Results indicated higher reliance on and motivation for using political blogs than microblogs. Blogs were also perceived to be more credible than microblogs. Respondents who primarily engaged in blogging for information purposes were more likely to judge candidate blogs as highly credible, whereas interest in entertainment emerged as the strongest predictor of the perceived credibility of microblogs. This research also provided quantitative evidence showing how users viewed blogs and microblogs differently in the context of political campaigns. The aim is to explore the pros and cons of blogging and microblogging as a tool for political communication.

Mallat has shown that, with a proper choice of wavelet function, the local maxima of wavelet transformed signal indicate a sharp variation in the signal. Since the glottal closure causes sharp discontinuities in the speech signal, dyadic wavelet transform can be useful for detecting abrupt change in the voiced sounds, i.e., epochs. In this paper, we investigate the glottal closure instants obtained from the wavelet analysis of speech signal and compare them with those obtained from the EGG signal. Then, we detect pitch period of speech signal on the basis of these results. Experimental results demonstrated that local maxima of wavelet transformed signal give accurate estimation of epoch and pitch periods of voiced sound obtained by the proposed algorithm also correspond to those from EGG well.

In this paper, two sampling methods which are Latin hypercube sampling (LHS) and simple random sampling were. compared to improve the modeling speed of neural network model. Sampling method was used to generate initial weights and bias set. Electrical characteristic data for $HfO_2$ thin film was used as modeling data. 10 initial parameter sets which are initial weights and bias sets were generated using LHS and simple random sampling, respectively. Modeling was performed with generated initial parameters and measured epoch number. The other network parameters were fixed. The iterative 20 minimum epoch numbers for LHS and simple random sampling were analyzed by nonparametric method because of their nonnormality.
