The purpose of this study was to examine the factors of environmental friendliness perceived among residents, and to provide housing designers and housing policy makers with the relevant information. Literature review and questionnaire survey were used in this research. Data drawn from 320 residents living in the Bundang area were analyzed. Data were analyzed with the SPSS PC+ 11.0 window version. The results were summarized as follows: 1) Residents were satisfied with the amenity of their residential environment but they were unsatisfied with other ecosystem among environment friendly factors. And they pointed out that three factors are very important factors among environmental friendliness, which are the environmental friendliness apartment community plan, the minimization of environmental pollution, the energy saving. 2) There was significant difference the evaluation of environmental friendly factors according to sex, age, educational level of wife, and income. Especially, women are unsatisfied with environmental friendliness of their residential environment and it was founded that the older the age, the more positive evaluation on their residential environment. 3) There was significant difference in the evaluation of environmental friendly factors according to location, housing type, homeownership, and residential period. Location was related to the amenity of their residential environment, housing type, homeownership, and residential period were related to the convenience of their residential environment.
This study aims examining a few elements representing a family-friendly corporate environment such as the attitude of CEOs, corporate culture, the support from direct supervisors and their influence on the sense of self-efficacy and career success of women managers. The summary and conclusion of the result of this study is as follows; first, the positive attitude of CEOs as one of the representing elements for family-friendly corporate environment was found to affect the sense of self-efficacy and the career success of married women managers with positive effects. Second, the support of superiors turned out to have a positive effect on career development of women managers. Finally, the sense of women's self-efficacy turned out to affect career success of women managers. For the use of female resources as a growth power, the attitude of CEOs who promote gender equality, and the support of supervisors will play a very important part, and in order to build a corporate culture with gender equality, promotion and policy-making on corporate as well as government level are required.

Purpose: This study examined the effects of a gender-friendly environment and the communication competence of male nursing students on college life adaptation. Methods: The participants included 221 male nursing students from the nursing departments at five universities. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regressions with SPSS/WIN 18.0. Results: The participants' scores on the gender-friendly environment, communication competence, and college life adaptation were 58.41±10.96, 56.19±7.32, and 117.37±16.86, respectively. Factors influencing male nursing students' college adaptation included satisfaction with major, communication competence, academic grade, and economic level. These variables together explained 59% of college adaptation in male nursing students (F=26.74, p<.001). Conclusion: The findings demonstrate that the development and application of educational programs for communication competence and a gender-friendly educational environment are essential in enhancing the adaptation of male nursing students to college life.

For housing estate of a new administrative capital city, Noise reduction method is a important design factor. As measuring a noise level of traffic noise according to separation from road, it can be created a quite housing estate. Analyzing of merits and demerits in sound barrier walls and tunnels can be proposed environment friendly soundproofing facilities. Number of measurement was performed to know what kind of layout of housing estate is good for noise reduction. Through this measurement, ㄷ shaped layout or parallel layout has the advantage of sound insulation rather than right angled layout. In this case (ㄷ shaped layout or parallel layout) buildings neighboring to the road should be designed to insulate sound. Evergreen trees should be planted between housing estate and road more than 30m (at least 7~8m) in order to reduce noise and have masking effects. If broad-leaved trees are planted more than 30m, approximately 10dB noise is reduced and 2~4dB if 7~8m. Roads in the estate should be designed considering pedestrians first, and special roads for moving and ambulance should be designed as skew road, if possible. The result shows that 15$^{\circ}$-sloped‘S’road reduces 1~2dB noise and 30$^{\circ}$-sloped road reduces 4~7dB. If noise barrier is inevitably installed, it should be designed to go well wit neighboring environment so as to install Environment Friendly Noise Barrier using materials and trees including wood and soil. This study was performed in order to investigate perceptions on environment and environment-friendly agricultural products, knowledge level and opinion about these products. The subjects were 387 college students in Seoul and Incheon area. This survey was conducted by self-administered questionnaire. The statistical analysis was conducted using the SPSS 12.0 program. Male subjects were 53.2% and female subjects were 46.8%. 52.9% of the subjects have knowledge about environment-friendly agricultural products. Also 50.9% of the subjects knew certification label of environment-friendly agricultural products whereas 13.4% knew certification authority of environment-friendly agricultural products. The average scores of 'image of environment-friendly agricultural products', 'attitude towards environment', 'attitude towards agrichemical' were $3.84{\pm}0.68,\;3.51{\pm}0.73\;and\;3.58{\pm}0.87$, respectively. In regard to 'image of environment- friendly agricultural products', the scores were significantly affected by gender (p<0.05), self-recognition of health status (p<0.05) and self-knowledge about environment-friendly agricultural products (p<0.001). In regard to 'attitude towards environment', the scores were significantly affected by self-recognition of health status (p<0.05), self-knowledge about environment-friendly agricultural products (p<0.001), and information about environment friendly agricultural products certificate authority (p<0.01). In regard to 'attitude towards agrichemical', the scores were significantly affected by gender (p<0.001), self-recognition of health status (p<0.05), supplements for health (p<0.05) and self-knowledge about environment-friendly agricultural products (p<0.001). Therefore, various education programs on environment-friendly agricultural products are necessary for college students to make right food choices.
This study was conducted with two objectives ; one was to select the suitable soybean cultivars for cultivation in paddy field and the other was to establish the environment-friendly rotational cropping system of soybean instead of rice in paddy field. In order to evaluate growth adaptation and yields, Eve soybean cultivars were cultivated in Yeoncheon, Keonggi province, with two cultivation methods such as level row and high ridge. Growth of the top plants, such as stem length, number of branches, diameter of stem, were higher in high ridge than in level row, however, the differences among the cultivars were bigger than those between the cultivation methods. Dry weight of top plant was significantly different among the cultivars during whole growth stages, however, it was higher in level row than in high ridge at V5 stage while it became higher in high ridge as growth progressed. Roots were more developed in high ridge than in level row during whole growth stages. T/R ratio in level row was higher than that in high ridge. During whole growth stages, significant differences were observed among the cultivars in growth and yields in each cultivation method and yields of Eunhakong was the highest. In results, number of nodules and T/R ratio at V5 stage, number of pods at R2 stage, and number of seeds and T/R ratio at R5 stage had highly correlated with yields, respectively.
Purpose: The purpose of this study were to compare working condition, socioeconomic status, and health status between elderly and non-elderly workers and to examine the influencing factors of health status according to age groups. Methods: This study is a secondary analysis of data extracted from the 2014 Korean Working Conditions Survey. For the present analysis, 15,980 elderly workers over the age of 55 and 32,037 non-elderly workers under the age of 55 were selected. Results: The prevalence of subjective unhealthy status and poor mental health were significantly higher among the elderly workers than the non-elderly workers. The elderly workers were more likely to have lower level of education and income than the non-elderly workers. They also reported less support from colleagues and managers, however, have more decision authority. Among the elderly workers, long working hours, awkward posture, physical environmental risks, quantitative demand, decision authority, social support, age discrimination, education level, and income level were significant predictors of subjective health status or mental health. Conclusion: For keeping elderly workers healthy and productive, work environment needs to become more age-friendly. An age-friendly workplace may include: accommodative support, workers' participation, minimization of environment risk, etc.

Technology based civilization has made a sustained advancement, resulting in economic growth and material prosperity. The outcome was the beginning of environmental destruction. Especially, in regard to construction, it has been recognized as a key culprit for pollution. As such, the construction industry has recently shown interest in the environment, as it has been applying environment friendly method of construction and reducing wastes. As the number of old common housing increases in our country, reconstruction and remodeling are implemented as a means of improvement. However, it can be said that remodeling is the inevitable option because of cost and environmental problems associated with reconstruction. As part of its feature, remodeling work is preceded by removal work. And, removal work inevitably creates construction wastes. Treatment of wastes that takes into consideration environmental aspects is important and for this, removal work that is based on environment friendly remodeling to ensure selective separation must be implemented. Yet, a removal work based on environment friendly remodeling has a lower level of output compared to existing methods. Because remodeling work by its nature has a post construction work which proceeds after it, securing work efficiency is important as the removal work is a critical path activity. Thus, the present study improves the work process of a removal work that is based on environment friendly remodeling so that it becomes a work process that includes work efficiency. For this, as a case study, old common housing has been selected, and a TACT process has been developed which is based on data acquired from environment friendly removal work. And, this study develops an optimal TACT process which is based on environment friendly remodeling by conducting a simulation for a 15 floor apartment.

The wood veneers were clearly rainbow-colored with natural dyes. As shown through Korean-style jacket with stripes of multi-colors beyond traditional obang colors (red, blue, yellow, black and white colors), eco-friendly coloring methods representing Korean colors familiar from old times could be used nobly by coloring natural wood veneer being raw material of wood products. In terms of industrialization, the study to manifest korean color, substituting chemical stains such as dye and pigment, would be necessary. In order to realize this purpose, the study about economical dyeing materials and characteristics, that is, mordant, dyeing and drying techniques showing environment-friendly coloring and high coloration level ought to be followed. In addition to this, investigating discoloration transition by fading test for interior and exterior uses would have to be carried out.

The purpose of this study is to examine support policies regarding work and family reconciliation, to suggest plans to improve workplace policies, and to suggest directions for further studies. This study looks at OECD's work-life reconciliation policies as well as family friendly workplace policies in Korea to find a way to enhance business' receptiveness and implementation of the policies. By examining women's labor conditions, this study finds that family friendly workplace policies are necessarily imminent in our society of low fertility and ageing. Along with the evaluation of benefit level and the effectiveness of current policies, this study uses data from interviews with working mothers who have had the experience of family friendly benefits. The results of the analyses suggest that the government should focus on improving the workplace environment in companies that do not show bias against the use of family friendly policies. In order to farm more successful policies, future studies are needed to analyze the changes of fertility, working conditions, support programs, and benefits.
