Analysis of Strength Characteristics for Lightweight Soils Using Recycled Material (폐기물을 첨가한 경량혼합토의 강도특성 분석)

  • Lightweight soils are very economical and environment friendly materials that are valuable in field without wasting construction materials, dredged soils and clay/ silty soils during construction. Recently, the research of lightweight soils mixed with recycled material (recycled tire powder, rice husks) have been investigated. In this study the mix design factors (i.e., weight of soil, water content, foaming agent and added water) were analyzed and optimized mix design was suggested using cement content for revealing strength. For the analysis the stress-strain behavior, strength with respect to time, and experimental strength for the component of recycled material were analyzed. Finally, target strength was determined to calculate reasonable and economical mix ratio and the optimized cement content was suggested.

  • This paper presents the introduction plan of the renewable energy in innovation city. The introduction plan to make the condition of innovation city best should consider the economical efficiency, the quality of life and the sustainable development. The design of balanced city is demanded to build environment friendly and sustainable city. Energy efficient buildings should be designed to deal with the energy efficiency and environment problem. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the energy efficiency and provide the method to introduce the renewable energy system, in various buildings. As a result, the renewable energy plans of each innovation city are suggested and analyzed.

A Study on Construction and Quality in accordance with the Field Application of Hwangto Concrete (황토콘크리트의 현장적용에 따른 시공 및 품질 특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this thesis presents the application to the field of Hwangto-used concrete highlighted as an eco-friendly material and performs an experiment in the aspect of construction and quality on the construction for all parts of buildings, rather than for some parts of buildings as shown from existing application and got the conclusion as followings. 1) It was turned out that Hwangto concrete showed lower hydrated heat and arid contraction comparing to those of cement concrete. And this phenomenon is judged to appear high when applied to mass building and huge span structures. 2) The construction of Hwangto concrete is judged to be possible in applying to constructions since the mechanical construction seems to be possible by using pump car and ready-mixed concrete which are used at the practical sites at the moment. 3) The pockmarks appearing on the exposure surface were about 2% of total area. This has great cohesion by Hwangto concrete but is judged that it will be improved through enough vibration stamping. Through the experiments of quality and construction of Hwangto concrete as environment-friendly construction materials, it is possible to judge modernized application of Hwangto concrete. It is in need of more studies about economical efficiency, structural stability, design application, etc. afterwards.

Development of Disaster Risk Analysis System for Environment Friendly Road (친환경 도로노선의 재해위험도 평가시스템 개발)

  • PURPOSES: This study is to investigate the consideration which relates with a disaster from route alignment process and proposed the method it will be able to evaluate a disaster danger fixed quantity. METHODS: Use the landslide disaster probabilistic map of GIS based and in about landslide occurrence of the route alignment at the time of neighboring area after evaluating a risk fixed quantity, it compared LCC expense in about each alternative route. It developed the system it will be able to analyze a LCC and a disaster risk in about the alternative route. In order to verify a risk analytical algorithm and the system which are developed it selected national road 59 lines on the demonstrative route and it analyzed a disaster risk. RESULTS: Demonstrative route not only the disaster risk to be it will be able to compare a disaster risk fixed quantity like the economical efficiency degree in compliance with LCC expense productions it compared and there being the designer will be able to decide the alternative route, it confirmed. CONCLUSIONS: Roads can be designed by considering occurs repeatedly landslides and debris flow caused by disasters in advance and expect to be able to effect that can reduce the overall cost to recover losses caused by the disaster, and temporally loss is expected.

An environmentally friendly tunnel construction method at low overburden (환경친화적인 저토피 터널굴착 공법)

  • Conventional Korean tunnel portals require a lot of overburden. For stability reasons, about 1.5 to 2.0 times the tunnel diameter is needed for the height in order to achieve a sufficient arching effect. Thus, considerable movement of earth and support constructions are required which lead to undesirably large changes of and damage to the environment. With a massively designed pipe roof, tunnels at low overburden can be built. To effectively construct pipe roof as an advanced safeguarding method, the following properties are indispensable: stability, insensitivity to settling and drilling accuracy. A new pipe roof method, AT-casing system, has been developed which on the one hand entirely combines the properties mentioned above, and which on the other hand permits the construction of safe, economical and environmentally friendly tunnels at low overburden heights of 3 to 5m.

  • We designed a UV-LED exposure system which has 365nm dominant wavelength due to the environment-friendly and economical maskless screen plate making. And the photoresist applied on the screen stretched was exposed without mask by beam projector with UV-LED light source. Then it was developed by air spray with $1.7\;kgf/cm^2$ of injection pressure. The pencil hardness and solvent resistance of curing photoresist film were excellent as those of conventional photoresist film and the maximum resolution of line image formed by maskless screen plate making. was $100{\mu}m$, so we could establish the possibility of environment-friendly maskless screen plate making technology. But the sharpness of the patterns were ${\pm}40{\mu}m$ since the exposure system for maskless plate making has weak light intensity and the diffusion of light.

  • This paper presents the introduction plan of the renewable energy in innovation city.   • The purpose of this paper is to offer policies or laws governing the future of Korean seafood markets in view of societal marketing concept. The environment surrounding those markets is changing quickly and constantly. The proposals in this paper are meant to help the Korean seafood market coping with this swiftly changing environment. This paper sorts this changing environment in terms of institutional side and secio-economical side. The institutional side involves the enforcement of international and domestic seafood trade standards, the increase of seafood importation, the adoption of optional seafood sales system, the openness of distribution market, and the adoption of TAC system. The secio-economical side involves the development of telecommunication and transportation, and the changing of seafood consumption pattern. The forecast about the future of seafood market could be classified into three fields, that is, the production field, the distribution field, and the consumption field of seafood. In the production field of seafood, the stabilization of supply of seafood and the production management oriented seafood market could be forecasted. In the distribution field, the formulating of enforced trade standards, the dispersion of marketing function among fisher, wholesaler and retailer, the development of marketing skills, and the promotion of marketing information system could be forecasted. Finally, in consumption field, the promotion of standardization and diversification, the appearance of intellectual consumers could be forecasted. This paper seeks to offer policies or laws fur the three categories of the seafood market-the government, the fisher, and the distributor-coping with the changing environment on the above three fields, thereby benefiting the consumer's long-term welfare. For the government, this paper suggests the construction of a Seafood Transaction Information Infrastructure, a Seafood Dealer License System, and a Seafood Safety Security System. For the fishers, this paper proposes an Eco-labelling System, a Sustainable Production System, and a Real Naming System in dealing seafood. Finally, for the distributors, this paper offers a Seafood Production Controlling System, a Nature-friendly Marketing System, and a Consumer-oriented Marketing System.

  • According with annual report by the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development), South Korea is at the top of the list of countries with bad air pollution (fine dust particles) and the South Korean government announced the cause to be due to the particle emissions of large and old diesel vehicles. To solve this issue, the government (jointly with related ministries), promoted the "Special Measures for Comprehensive Fine Dust Management Program" as a way to improve environmental pollution by reducing the overall output of fine dust particles emitted by public vehicles. The measure implemented a gas subsidy system to convert eco-friendly vehicles of city and chartered buses throughout the country. In this study, we take a look at the economical evaluation, comparison and analysis of the conversion of diesel vehicles to natural gas (CNG) vehicles. This report represent the basis for the need to expand the funds of the subsidy program and reviews the feasibility of the policy by taking into consideration the social and economical benefits and the effect in the environment when converting diesel fuel to natural gas vehicles through the type-specific fuel conversion scenarios.

Site Selection and Potential Analysis using the Frame for Assessing Environmental-friendly Wind Power Plant (환경친화적 풍력단지 평가체계 구축을 통한 입지선정 및 잠재량 분석)

  • Wind power which is one of renewable energies is higher economical efficiency and technical maturity than other renewable energies. Recently, the government of ROK announced to increase the proportion of renewable energy through the National Energy Plan. Also, industry required to deregulate for large-scale wind power as Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) is introduced. Wind power whereas the eco-friendly energy, is a serious level of damage of the natural environment and topography when the wind power is located. Therefore, the study selected the indicators required for site selection of wind power and proposed the feasible area for wind power based on wind resource map. We selected the 15 indicators including 12 legal protected area, Ecology and Nature Map, rarity, and connectivity (National Ecological Network). After site selection, we should be considered slope and altitude at the stage of design for wind farm to mitigate the environmental impact. Results of analysis showed that 22.3% of wind resource map is available to locate wind power in real. Through the field survey we had verified the accuracy of the results was significantly correct.
