The purpose of this study was to establish an intervention strategy for nursing students' empathic ability enhancement by confirming the degree of empathy ability of nursing students to confirm the relationship between empathy ability and diversity acceptance, emotion recognition clarity, and other person' s recognition. The subjects were 173 nursing students. Data were collected as a self-report questionnaire consisting of general characteristics, diversity acceptability, emotional clarity, other-awareness, and empathy. We carried out t-test, ANOVA, Scheff's test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using IBM SPSS Statistics 19. The results show that there was a significant difference in empathy ability according to the general characteristics of the subjects according to academic year and practice experience, and empathy was statistically significant according to academic year, diversity acceptability, emotional clarity, and other-awareness. Factors influencing empathy ability of nursing students were academic year, diversity acceptability, emotional clarity and other-awareness, and these variables explained empathy ability as 51.9%. In order to improve empathy ability of nursing students based on these results, we should adopt a nursing education program that can accept subjects with various backgrounds and clearly recognize emotions in a therapeutic setting.
The current rural conditions are undergoing the change from the past production-intensive structure to an integral and complex one of producing, processing, selling, touring and lodging owing to the changes of life-style, consumption trend and social environments. The rural area is developing into a community of rural tourism villages to grow into one management system along with the assistance of the government's various supporting projects. Through this, the rural designing has got to play a significant role as one of the factors of the enhancement of competitiveness and the increase of income. Therefore, those previous studies on the variety and possibility of rural development are being employed for the researches which are to develop techniques of branding, marketing and packaging. In particular, the researches for VI (Village Identity), BI (Brand Identity) and designs of landscaping, packaging of agricultural specialties and display stores, which definitely shows that the importance of rural designing, is being paid a lot more attention to. Thus, this study has verified the site commercialization and its effect by developing some practical designing with the focus of package design at rural tourism villages. The Okgye Village in Yoncheon was selected for study subject based on the result of status investigation. This study has analyzed such problems as lack of village identity, non-description of items and their indispensible marks which were seen their designs of village and packaging. The colors of major items and the village image being substituted into the image scale of IRI color were estimated so that the appropriate colors might be selected, along with which the shapes of major items were decided to be motif for the village symbol and design to be created. The designs of such major items as grains, greens and sauces were created with the consideration of the easiness of loading, the continuity of using and the aesthetics. For grains, those outer boxes which are possible for set-packaging and small-sized packaging have been developed. For greens were developed the boxes with the structure of the permeability for the persisten't quality as well as the possibility for packaging small amount. In case of sauces, those outer-boxes equipped with fixing tray were made with the transport-convenience taken into consideration. The sticker-label designs for all those three were also developed which stand for the village identity and are conveniently used in each farm family. When this development was applied at the sites, it was found that the satisfaction and reliability of consumers as well as the satisfaction of farmers were raised along with the increase by more than 30% after the improvement.
In this study, we developed the program for 'Discretionary Activity' focusing on the multiple activities with everyday-life materials to enhance scientific creativity (MAEM-SC), which was specifically for students in the 6-7th grade according to the 7th curriculum in Korea. As important factors for scientific creativity, we selected the ability to find out the context relevant to scientific problems, the ability to connect the problem context to scientific knowledge, the ability to invent the ways to solve the problem scientifically, and ability to concentrate on the scientific problem solving activity. The topics of the program were drawn from common and familiar things in our everyday contexts, such as human body, everyday tools, food, play and toys, and everyday episodes. The multiple activities here mean the activities which are systematically constructed with the various types of activities with a specific intention. The multiple activities were designed in three types, that is, series type, parallel type, and combination type. Each of them consists of the several activities as follows: estimating and measuring, carrying out an experiment using body, inventing implement (tools), thinking statistically, writing creatively with scientific themes, and connecting one concept to another concept etc. Through a trial of the program, we found that this program has some positive influence on the enhancement both of the ability to find out the context relevant to scientific problems and the ability to connect it to the students' existing scientific knowledge.
China and Korea have interacted with each other for 20 years since 1992 when China and Korea established diplomatic relations. During this period, the trade and investment between two countries have increased rapidly. In addition to the enhancement of economic cooperation and the expansion of personal exchange, the relationship between two countries was upgraded to mutual strategic cooperative relationship in 2008 from the 1 friendly and cooperative relations and the economic exchange and cooperation were largely expanded. In this paper, the current situation and characteristics of the trade between China and Korea were figured out. In order to find out the development direction of China and Korea trade, through empirical analysis, the correlation of decisive factors that influence the trade amount of these two countries were analyzed. In terms of dependent variables for the empirical analysis, the trade amount between China and Korea was considered. While the GDP of these countries, the direct investment amount of two countries and the openness of external trade of these countries were considered as independent variables. The degree of economic freedom of these countries was set as policy variable. According to the analysis results, when the GDP of China and Korea is getting higher, there is positive influence on the trade amount of China and Korea. It is showed that the direct investment of Korea has positive influence on the trade amount of China and Korea. Meanwhile, there is negative influence of China's direct investment on the trade amount. When the degree of freedom of these countries is getting higher, the influence of trade amount was showed significantly. Furthermore, when the economic freedom of these countries is getting higher, the insignificant things about trade amount of China and Korea were extracted as insignificant.

In this study, fire resistance and residual strength were examined after the addition of PF fiber and bonding fireproofing gypsum board to a high strength concrete-model column of 50 MPa grade. At the beginning of the experiment, all the properties of base concrete appeared to satisfy the target range. In terms of the internal temperature record, a trend of slightly high temperature was shown when the fireproofing gypsum board was not bonding, and when the fireproofing gypsum board was bonding, as PF content increased gradually, the temperature was gradually lowered. In terms of the relationship, as time elapsed a low temperature was shown when fiber was mixed, and when the board was bonding, the trend of lower temperature could be confirmed. Meanwhile, in terms of spalling property, a severe explosive fracture was generated at PF 0%, and falling off was prevented as the fiber content was increased; however, discoloration and a multitude of cracks were discovered, and when the board was bonding, the trend in which the exterior became satisfactory when the content was increased emerged. In terms of the residual compressive strength, measuring of strength could not be performed at PF 0% without bonding of board, and the strength was increased as the fiber content was increased; however, there was a decrease in strength of about 30 ~ 40%, and in the case of PF 0% with the bonding of board, the strength could be measured; however, about an 80% decrease in strength was shown, and only about a 10 ~ 20% decline in strength was displayed, as the range of decrease was reduced as the fiber content was increased. Considering all of these factors, it was determined that a more efficient enhancement of fire resistance was obtained when two methods are applied in combination rather than when the PF fiber content and bonding of fireproofing gypsum board are utilized individually.
Recently, fiber-reinforced plastic(FRP) wraps are blown as an effective material for the enhancement and rehabilitation of aged concrete structures. The purpose of this investigation is to experimentally investigate behavior of concrete cylinder wrapped with FRP materials. Experimental parameters include compressive strength of concrete cylinder, FRP material, and confinement ratio. This paper presents the results of experimental studies on the performance of concrete cylinder specimens externally wrapped with aramid, carbon and glass fiber reinforced Polymer sheets. Test specimens were loaded in uniaxial compression. Axial load, axial and lateral strains were investigated to evaluate the stress-strain behavior, ultimate strength ultimate strain etc. Test results showed that the concrete strength and confinement ratio, defined as the ratio of transverse confinement stress and transverse strain were the most influential factors affecting the stress-strain behavior of confined concrete. More FRP layers showed the better confinement by increasing the compressive strength of test cylinders. In case of test cylinders with higher compressive strength, FRP wraps increased the compressive strength but decreased the compressive sham of concrete test cylinders, that resulted in prominent brittle failure mode. The failure of confined concrete was induced by the rupture of FRP material at the stain, being much smaller than the ultimate strain of FRP material.
In this study, 62 questionnaires were surveyed from November 3 to November 25, 2016 for workers who received more than one skill improvement training at Korea Polytechnic University. Factor analysis was done by removing 11 items out of 27 items and using the final 16 items, five factors were derived and the validity was confirmed with significance probability p = .000. Durbin-Watson values were 1.787 and 1.780, respectively. The results of this study were as follows: First, the effects of skill enhancement training on job attitude of Korea Polytechnic University were found as follows. First, the effects on job satisfaction were consistency of contents (p <.05, ${\beta}=.434$) (P <.05, p = .328), and the sense of belonging was significant (p <.05, p = .338). Second, the correlation between the skill improvement training and the turnover attitude shows that the efficiency of method - job satisfaction (.311), efficiency of method - clarity of purpose (.350), efficiency of method - suitability of content (.771) - content fit (.467), job satisfaction - content fit (.191), but the sense of belonging was not correlated. Third, the results of the difference in perception of turnover attitude according to years of service of technical improvement training at Korea Polytechnic University did not have a statistically significant effect. In this study, it is meaningful to investigate the effect of the skill improvement training on the attitude of turnover and its effectiveness.

The enhancement of leaf photosynthetic capacity can have the potential to improve the seed yield of soybean. Key targets for the increase of leaf photosynthetic capacity remains unclear in soybean. Peking, Chinese local variety, has been the useful material for soybean breeding since it shows various resistances against biotic and abiotic stress. Sakoda et al., 2017 reported that Peking had the higher capacity of leaf photosynthesis than Enrei, Japanese elite cultivar. They identified the genetic factors related to high photosynthetic capacity of Peking. The objective of this study is to elucidate the physiological basis underlying high photosynthetic capacity of Peking. Peking and Enrei were cultivated at the experimental field of the Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan. The sowing date was July 4, 2016. Gas exchange parameters were evaluated at the uppermost fully expanded leaves on 43, 49, and 59 days after planting (DAP) with a portable gas exchange system, LI-6400. The leaf hydraulic conductance, $K_{leaf}$, was determined based on the water potential and transpiration rate of the uppermost fully expanded leaves on 60 DAP. The morphological traits related to leaf photosynthesis were analyzed at the same leaves with the gas exchange measurements. The light-saturated $CO_2$ assimilation rate ($A_{sat}$) of Peking was significantly higher than that of Enrei at 43 and 59 DAP while the stomatal conductance ($g_s$) of Peking was significantly higher at all the measurements (p < 0.05). It suggested that high $A_{sat}$ was mainly attributed to high $g_s$ in Peking. $g_s$ is reported to be affected by the morphological traits and water status inside the leaf, represented by $K_{leaf}$, in crop plants. The tendency of the variation of the stomatal density between two cultivars was not consistent throughout the measurements. On the other hand, $K_{leaf}$ of Peking was 59.0% higher than that of Enrei on 60 DAP. These results imply that high $g_s$ might be attributed to high $K_{leaf}$ in Peking. Further research is needed to reveal the mechanism to archive high $g_s$ on the basis of water physiology in Peking. The knowledge combining the genetic and physiological basis underlying high photosynthetic capacity of Peking can be useful to improve the biomass productivity of soybean.

In this paper, the effects of a metamaterial slab with negative permeability in a magnetically coupled wireless power transfer system (WPT) in the overall performance are analyzed quantitatively in terms of the effective quality factors of the loop resonators and coupling coefficient considering the slab losses, based on an equivalent circuit. Using the ideal metamaterial slab(lossless slab), the WPT efficiency is improved considerably by the magnetic flux focusing. However, the practical lossy slab made of RRs or SRRs limits the significant enhancement of WPT efficiency due to the relatively high losses in the slab consisting of RRs or SRRs near the resonant frequency. For the practical loop resonator, other than a point magnetic charge, using the practical lossy metamaterial slab in order to improve the transfer efficiency, the width of the slab needs to be optimized somewhat less than the half of the distance between two loop resonators. For the low-loss slab with its loss tangent of 0.001, the WPT efficiency is maximized at 93 % when the ratio of the slab width and the distance between the two resonators is approximately 0.35, compared with 53 % for the case without the slab. The efficiency in case of employing the high-low slab(loss tangent: 0.2) is maximized at 61 % when the slab ratio is 0.25.
Dental implants have been developed for enhancement of osseointegration. Biocompatibility, bone affinity and surface characteristics of dental implants are very important factors for osseointegration. The aim of the present study was to determine the cytotoxicity and the bone affinity of titanium phosphide(Ti-P) implant material. The Ti-P surface was obtained by vacuum sintering of titanium within compacted hydroxyapatite powder. The composition and the chemical change of the surface were determined by Auger electron spectroscopy. The in vitro cytotoxicity was evaluated by the viability of the bone cells and macrophages obtained from chicken embryo and rat,s peritonium, respectively. For the comparative evaluation, 316L stainless steel, commercially pure titanium and Ti-P materials, prepared in size of 1O.0mm in diameter and 5.0mm in height, were immersed separately in bone cells and macrophages for 10 days. For the evaluation of the in vivo bone affinity, 316L stainless steel, commercially pure titanium and Ti-P materials, prepared in size of 5.0mm in diameter and 10.0mm in length, were implanted after drilling in diameter 5.5mm in femurs of 2 dogs weighing 10Kg more or less. Six weeks after implantation the specimens were prepared for histopathological examination and were observed under light microscope. In comparison of in vitro bone cell viability, Ti-P and commercially pure titanium groups were not significantly different from control group (p>O.1), but 316L stainless steel group was significantly lower than control group(p<0.05). There was no statistical difference in the viability of macrophages between 3 different groups and control group(p>O.l). In comparison of in vivo study, 316L stainless steel and commercially pure titanium showed fibrous encapsulation, but Ti-P showed remarkable new bone formation without any fibrous tissue. The results demonstrate that Ti-P has favorable biocompatibility and bone affinity, and suggest that dental implants with Ti-P surface may enhance osseointegration.
