그린수소 기반 섹터 커플링 통한 재생에너지 출력제한 경감효과 연구 (Study on Reduction of Curtailment of Renewable Generation based on Green Hydrogen Sector Coupling)

  • The Korean government announced the "1st Basic Plan for the Transition to Hydrogen Economy" in 2021 and declared the establishment of a hydrogen industry ecosystem by 2040. To build a low-carbon power system, resources that can efficiently accommodate renewable energy are required, and green hydrogen is considered a potential solution. This study analyzed the economic feasibility of green hydrogen-based sector coupling to reduce curtailment of renewable generation in the Jeju power system by 2025 under the scenario of with or without HVDC#3. The result showed that HVDC#3 significantly reduced the frequency of curtailment from 16.1% to 3.0%. In addition, green hydrogen-based sector coupling was an economically feasible option as result showed an IRR of 4.86% when HVDC#3 was connected and 11.45% when it was not under the condition of achieving 50% curtailment reduction. This study shows that the higher the level of renewable energy deployment, the more delayed the HVDC connection between Jeju and the main land, and the lower the SMP, the more economically feasible the green hydrogen-based sector coupling is. Furthermore, this study suggests that the policy goal of completely reducing curtailment is not economically efficient.

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 이미 수립되어진 에너지사용계획서를 표본으로 삼아 각 분과별 및 전기 에너지 이용효율 향상 설비별로 전기에너지 절감효과를 조사 분석하였다. 에너지사용계획서 작성 시 본 연구를 바탕으로 문제점을 분석하고 개선 방안을 제시함으로써 새로이 효율 개선을 목표로 하고 있는 전기에너지 사용계획 수립에 도움이 되고자 한다. 특별히, 전기에너지 절감 기기 적용의 최근 현황과 문제점을 분석하고, 합리적인 에너지 사용과 목적에 부합한 분석 결과가 우리나라의 최근 에너지사용 계획서에 기여하고자 한다.

  • Wind power forecast is critical for efficient power system operation. However, wind power has high forecasting errors due to uncertainty caused by the climate change. These forecasting errors can have an adverse impact on the power system operation. In order to mitigate the issues caused by the wind power forecasting error, wind power curtailment and energy storage system (ESS) can be introduced in the power system. These methods can affect the economics of wind power resources. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the economics of the methods for mitigating the wind power forecasting error. This paper attempts to analyze the economics of wind power curtailment and ESS operation for mitigating wind power forecasting error. Numerical simulation results are presented to show the economic impact of wind power curtailment and ESS operation.

  • This study investigates and analyzed electrical energy curtailment effect by each business department and by energy use efficiency elevation equipment because do an energy use plan that is enforced in each variety business that is developed in domestic by model. When plan the recent electrical energy use with this, I wish to contribute in energy use general planning establishment improvement that is aiming energy efficiency improvement newly by groping improvement plan moment deduce problem. Specially, search present condition and problem by electrical energy curtailment equipment application that probes mass and analyzed, and is applied in present our country according to analysis contents to the latest energy use plan that was enforced on energy use rationality narration but allowed purpose.

Development of Modular Control System Based on Closed-Loop Control for Wind Farms

  • The use of renewable energy sources for power generation has been steadily increasing. Power generation using renewable energy has the advantage of not generating carbon but has the disadvantage of high volatility depending on the weather. This volatility makes stable power supply difficult. Curtailment is occurring to address volatility. Various facilities are operated together to solve the loss caused by the curtailment. The existing SCADA must be modified for turbine control reflecting the conditions of various facilities. However, since it is difficult to modify SCADA, a modular control system is required. In this study, we propose Modular Control System Based on Closed-Loop Control for Wind Farms. Since the control logic can be changed without modifying SCADA, it is easy to respond to changes. The developed modular control system was evaluated as a lab test and confirmed to operate smoothly. Through future research, the experiment will be conducted by applying a modular control system to the actual wind farm.

  • In case of developing a combined system by a number of distributed resources with storage device, a number of application suggests a huge capacity can derive operational flexibility both power supply issues or when unexpected situation imposed. However, it is important to determine a resonable energy capacity because the device have many controversial cost issues in current power system industry. An ESS application which focusing essentially required points can induce appropriate storage capacity that required in economic operation. In this paper, a curtailment supporting algorithm based on storage device is introduced, and applied in the capacity calculation method. The main algorithm pursues handling minor exceeding quantities which can cause mechanical load at blade; This paper tries to include it for configuring hybrid algorithm with pitch control. Several fluctuating conditions are utilized in simulation to reflect critical situation. The analyzing process focuses on the control feasibility with applied capacity and control method.

  • This paper deals with an allocation strategy for the resources of direct load control program, which is considered the operating states in power systems. The existing approaches, load shedding priority algorithm, curtailment payback based algorithm and mixed curtailment algorithm, are based on the uniform allocation strategy. These approaches are not taken into account the operating states in power systems. So, under the critical operating condition, direct load control resource is evaluated by introducing the congestion factor.

  • 우리나라 육상물류체계는 날로 그 비용이 체화되고 있는 실정이며 특히 차량에 의한 온실가스배출에 따른 환경파괴, 그리고 날로 심화되고 있는 교통비용증가 등이 심각한 수준에 있다. 그간 정부가 펼쳐왔던 교통에너지절감과 이와 같은 환경오염을 고려한 친환경 그린물류정책은 더 이상 그 효과를 상실하고 있는 것처럼 보인다. 이에 본 연구에서는 육상물류체계를 해상으로 이전할 수 있는 가장 효과적인 물류이전수단인 카페리항로를 한반도를 중심으로 네트웍화 함으로써, 특히 부산과 수도권의 남북동서 물류망을 획기적으로 개선시키고 외와 같은 제반 물류비용을 절감할 수 있는 방안을 도출하고자 한다.

물류센터의 에너지 효율 개선 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Energy Efficiency in Warehouses)

  • The main sources of energy consumption in warehouses are MHE(Material Handling Equipment), HVAC(Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning) and Lighting. Warehouses in advanced countries raise energy efficiencies with energy consumption diagnosis, technology development and systematic management and improvements for MHE, HVAC and Illuminating, etc. They have managed illuminating system, air conditioning, motor driven system, air circulation method, dock facility, layout, AS/RS, conveyor system and battery management, etc. Ansong Pyeongtaek area investigation resulted that 43.9[%] of enterprises are managing partly energy consumption source. But the data resulted with not substantial management of energy consumption but passive management for only electric bill curtailment. Therefore through survey research & visiting interviews of some companies in Ansong Pyeongtaek area, we understood the status of energy consumption source management and proposed energy efficiency methods on the basis of that results.

  • BIPV or double skin applied to the surface of the building, power and thermal load cannot both be increased. In the case of BIPV, because it is applied to the facade, incident solar energy decreases and efficiency drops off. The system in this paper complements these disadvantages and aims to decrease the heating & cooling load by transforming solar energy to electronic and thermal energy. The research in this paper is about the applicability of the clear PV attached double-skin system. And the PV electronic generation and the factors that affect the heating & cooling load such as the daily radiation, sun shading ratio, heating & cooling load, daylight luminance and glare distributions in the building are simulated.
