A Comparative Study of Estimation by Analogy using Data Mining Techniques

  • Software Estimations provide an inclusive set of directives for software project developers, project managers, and the management in order to produce more realistic estimates based on deficient, uncertain, and noisy data. A range of estimation models are being explored in the industry, as well as in academia, for research purposes but choosing the best model is quite intricate. Estimation by Analogy (EbA) is a form of case based reasoning, which uses fuzzy logic, grey system theory or machine-learning techniques, etc. for optimization. This research compares the estimation accuracy of some conventional data mining models with a hybrid model. Different data mining models are under consideration, including linear regression models like the ordinary least square and ridge regression, and nonlinear models like neural networks, support vector machines, and multivariate adaptive regression splines, etc. A precise and comprehensible predictive model based on the integration of GRA and regression has been introduced and compared. Empirical results have shown that regression when used with GRA gives outstanding results; indicating that the methodology has great potential and can be used as a candidate approach for software effort estimation.

Impact of Digital Literacy on Intention to Use Technology for Online Distribution of Higher Education in Vietnam: A Study of Covid19 Context

  • Purpose: This research aims to provide empirical evidence on the impact of digital literacy on behavioural intention regarding using technology for distribution of higher education. Design, Methodology, and Approach: Quantitative analysis was carried out using Covariance-Based Structural Equation Model with data collected from 901 students who fully experienced 2-year study online at different universities in Vietnam. The structural model was built with digital literacy as the primary indicator and other variables were included based on modified version of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) by adopting performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, habit, and hedonic motivation variables specifically for education sector. Self-efficacy was added to eliminate possible bias in technology acceptance. Results: From the results of model estimation, digital literacy presented positive impact on the online distribution of higher education in Vietnam. The mediating effects of various indicators such as performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, habit, hedonic motivation, and self-efficacy are significantly determined by research model. Conclusion: The higher level of digital literacy of the students, the more likely that they will use technology in higher education study, especially online learning. Additionally, the mediating effects of indicators from the UTAUT2 theoretical model were also evident to be positively significant.

Whistleblowing Intention and Organizational Ethical Culture: Analysis of Perceived Behavioral Control in Indonesia

  • Purpose: This study aims to find empirical evidence and clarity on the phenomenon of the direct and indirect effect of perceived behavioral control on fraud prevention through whistleblowing intention. This study also aims to understand the influence of organizational ethical culture moderating between whistleblowing intention and fraud prevention. Research design, data, methodology: The samples of this research are 236 respondents consisting of the Head of the Finance Subdivision and Head of the Reporting Planning Subdivision and the finance staff who were determined using the purposive sampling method. The data obtained were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling technique. Results: The study results show that perceived behavioral control positively and significantly affects whistleblowing intention. In addition, perceived behavioral control does not affect fraud prevention mediated by whistleblowing intention. Furthermore, organizational ethical culture moderates whistleblowing intention and has a positive and significant effect on fraud prevention. Conclusions: This study concludes that the phenomenon of scandal that often occurs on a television is not a habit that must be followed. It requires an active role from the community as a form of concern for whistleblowing. Futher researchers can add other construct variables, such as good corporate governance to assess the performance improvement of the organizational layers, both internally and externally

에이전트의 부정에 대한 개념 학습 (Agent's Learning Concept for Negation)

  • 영역이론의 숨겨진 문제점들 중의 하나는 에이전트가 자신의 행위를 이해하지 못한다는 점이다. Graphplan은 효율향상을 위해 mutex를 활용하고 있지만 이와 관련된 부정의 의미를 이해하지 못함으로써 영역이론의 중복성 문제를 야기한다. 이 문제에 대한 해결을 위해 IPP에서는 not 등과 같은 부정함수를 이용하지만, 부정함수의 사용은 시간과 공간적 비용을 수반한다. 인간은 주어진 어떤 사실을 부정하기 위하여 MDL 원리에 의해 반대개념을 사용한다는 점을 통하여, 우리는 부정적 사실을 표현하기 위해서 통념적 방식처럼 부정함수를 사용하는 것보다 긍정적 atom을 사용하는 것이 지능에이전트의 구축을 위해서 더 효율적 기법이라는 가설을 제시하고 IPP 도메인에서 이 가설을 지지하는 실험적 결과를 제시한다. 인간이 사용하는 것과 유사한 반대개념을 에이전트가 자동적으로 학습하기 위하여 영역이론으로부터 반대연산자들로 구성된 사이클을 생성하고 연산자들에 대한 실험을 통해서 반대 literal들을 추출한다.

  • 인재개발 프로그램으로 주목받아오고 있는 멘토링은 최근 조직 환경의 급속한 변화와 지식경영이 강조되면서 재개념화되고 있다. 즉, 개인과 조직의 발달이 다양한 자아들과의 관계에 의하여 이루어진 다고 생각하는 사회연결망 이론과 멘토링에 관련된 연구자들에 의해 '멘토링 연결망'이라는 새로운 개념이 형성된 것이다. 이들의 이론 연구에 의하면 개인의 발달단계는 '멘토링 네트워크'의 중요한 선행요인으로 작용하고 있다. 본 연구는 성인발달 관점의 한 영역인 교사발달 단계를 '멘토링 네트워크'의 선행요인으로 실제 분석해보기 위한 관련 문헌 및 선행연구 이론을 바탕으로 한 사전 연구로서 차후의 교사들을 대상으로 한 실증 연구의 개념적 틀이나 연구모형을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

수정된 이원평가표를 이용한 품질속성의 분류에 관한 연구 (Classification of Quality Attributes Using Two-dimensional Evaluation Table)

  • For several decades, attribute classification methods using the asymmetrical relationship between an attribute performance and the satisfaction of that attribute have been explored by numerous researchers. In particular, the Kano model, which classifies quality attributes into 5 elements using simple questionnaire and two-dimensional evaluation table, has gained popularity: Attractive, One-dimensional, Must-be, Indifferent, and Reverse quality. As Kano's model is well accepted, many literatures have introduced categorization methods using the Kano's evaluation table at attribute level. However, they applied different terminologies and classification criteria and this causes confusion and misunderstanding. Therefore, a criterion for quality classification at attribute level is necessary. This study is aimed to suggest a new attribute classification method that sub-categorizes quality attributes using 5-point ordinal point and Kano's two-dimensional evaluation table through an extensive literature review. For this, the current study examines the intrinsic and extrinsic problems of the well-recognized Kano model that have been used for measuring customer satisfaction of products and services. For empirical study, the author conducted a comparative study between the results of Kano's model and the proposed method for an e-learning case (33 attributes). Results show that the proposed method is better in terms of ease of use and understanding of kano's results and this result will contribute to the further development of the attractive quality theory that enables to understand both the customers explicit and implicit needs.

멀티미디어 매체의 지각된 특성이 학습 효과에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study of Factors Influencing on the Learning Effects of Perceived Characteristics of Multimedia Media)

  • Recently, the rabid development of information technology has brought enormous changes in education. Consolidation of communications and multimedia technologies are enabling the new educational paradigm such as distance learning and virtual education. Furthermore, many studies in the education engineering field report that teaching using multimedia technologies more enhances students' performance than the traditional instructor-teaching method. However, little research regarding the education using multimedia has been done in the MIS filed. None of multimedia-related studies could be found in the top-ranked MIS journals published in Korea for the last five years, and only a few studies were found even worldwide. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to investigate which features of multimedia software are most important to enhance the teaching results of students. From the previous research, we found out the specific features of the educational multimedia software which are considered to affect the students'performance, and defined the research variables related to those educational software features. And, based on the constructivism and motivation theory of the education engineering field a theoretical research model and research hypotheses were developed. Perceived usefulness of the class and a student's perceived interests in the class were used as surrogate variables to measure teaching performance. Total 277 students participated separately in one of the two multimedia classes which have continued for three weeks. One was C programming language class and the other was multimedia CD-title development class. Each student listened for the multimedia session of the class using multimedia software and, at the end of the multimedia session, answered the survey questionnaire. The results of the study show that motivation to the class and the contents of education were statistically significant to the students'performance in the class. That implies, not only in the traditional instructor-teaching method but also in the multimedia class, that the contents of education itself and student's motivation to the class are most important to raise instructional results.

이야기치료에서 비계설정과 실제적 적용 (Scaffolding and Practical Application on Narrative Therapy)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 비계설정을 활용한 이야기치료를 통해 내담자의 변화를 이끌어내는데 주목한 실증사례연구이다. 이를 통해 내담자가 살아온 이야기들 가운데 미래의 선호하는 가치와 희망을 찾고자 하는 데 목적을 두었다. 연구방법으로는 심층적 연구방법론(qualitative research)의 구조화되지 않은 질문(unstructured interview)과 느슨한 구조를 통해 진행하였다. 이러한 전제하에 상담자는 '탈중심적이지만 영향력 있는' 자세와 문제에 대해 진단이나 설명을 하지 않았다. 그리고 대화에 순서가 있지 않았으며, 내담자가 어떤 표현을 하기 전에 미리 그에 대한 반응을 결정하지 않았다. 본 연구는 실천적, 학문적 차원에서 다음과 같은 의의를 갖는다고 할 수 있다. 우선 비계를 통한 상담은 내담자의 호기심과 기질, 소망 등을 더욱 풍요롭게 하는 작용을 한다. 둘째, 비계설정은 이야기치료에서 상담자와 내담자간의 관계맺음을 위한 구체적인 모습을 제공해준다. 셋째, 치료적 대화에서 이루어진 비계설정은 '학습과업'을 제시해준다. 넷째, 비계설정을 통한 상담은 내담자의 고등정신기능을 발달시켜줄 수 있다는 적극적인 의미를 담고 있다. 마지막으로, 실증사례에 대한 분석을 통한 비고츠키 이론의 이야기치료에의 적용점을 제시하였다. 이러한 내용을 토대로 본 연구는 이야기치료에서 내담자를 단순히 연구대상으로 위치시키고자 하지 않았다. 이들 스스로 이야기치료의 주체가 되는데 필요한 요인과 그 과정에서 상담자의 역할을 규명했다는 점에서 연구의 의의를 갖는다. 아울러 그간 국내 연구에서 크게 주목하지 않은 개념을 활용했다는 점에서 이야기치료의 연구범위의 확장과 내실화에 기여했다는 점에서도 함의를 갖는다.

진로지도 자기효능감과 합리적 행동에 대한 실증 사례연구 (An Empirical Case Study on Self-Efficacy of Career Guidance and Theory of Reasoned)

  • 본 연구에서는 특성화 공업계 고등학교에서 학교 교육과정 운영 주체인 교사들이 가지고 있는 개인별 특성과, 특성화 공업계 고등학교가 가지고 있는 학교별 특성이 학교 교육과정 편성 운영에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 조사연구이다. 조사대상은 유층 표집한 82개 특성화 공업계 고등학교를 대상으로 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 교사 변인별 특성과 학교별 특성이 교육과정 편성 운영에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 먼저, 교사 변인별 특성은 교육과정 편성에서는 '교육계획수립'과 '교육활동 편성의 적절성'에, 교육과정 운영에서는 '기자재 적절성'에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 교사 변인별 특성 중에서 '교사직위'는 이들 변인들에 공통적으로 의미있는 영향력을 나타냈다. 다음으로, 학교별 특성은 교육과정 편성에서는 '학년 교과목간 연계성', '교육활동 편성의 적절성' 및 '교과교육과정의 충실성'에, 교육과정 운영에서는 '특성화 추진의지'에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 학교별 특성 중에서 '숙영시설'이 '학년 교과목간 연계성', '교육활동 편성의 적절성'에 공통적으로 의미있는 요인으로 나타났으며, '교육활동 편성의 적절성'에서는 '특성형태'와 '성별'이 미미하지만 의미있는 요인으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 특성화 공업계 고등학교의 편성 운영 발전방안에서 '직업교육에 대한 사회 전반적인 인식 전환'에 대한 요구가 가장 높게 나타났다.
