  • The computational cost of encryption is a barrier to wider application of a variety of data security protocols. Virtually all research on Elliptic Curve Cryptography(ECC) provides evidence to suggest that ECC can provide a family of encryption algorithms that implementation than do current widely used methods. This efficiency is obtained since ECC allows much shorter key lengths for equivalent levels of security. This paper suggests how improvements in execution of ECC algorithms can be obtained by changing the representation of the elements of the finite field of the ECC algorithm. Specifically, this research compares the time complexity of ECC computation eve. a variety of finite fields with elements expressed in the polynomial basis(PB) and normal basis(NB).

  • The scattering property of TMz illuminated perfectly conducting and dielectric cylinders of arbitrary cross section are analyzed by the boundary element techniques. The boundary element equations are formulated via Maxwell’s equations, weighted residual or Green’s theorem, and the boundary conditions. The unknown surface fields on the boundaries are then calculated by the boundary element integral equations. Once the surface fields are found, the scattered fields in from a perfectly conducting circular and elliptic cylinders, a dielectric circular and elliptic cylinders are numerically analyzed. A general computer program has been developed using the quadratic elements(higher order boundary elements) and the Gaussian quadrature.

  • The purpose of this paper is to realize an ideal F.D.N.R using a minimum number of passive elements and two CCIIs. The configuration of proposed circuit can be shown to be superior to that of conventional circuit because both capacitors are grounded and may also be equal-valued for easy IC fablication. Experimental data reveals performance of the new circuit for frequency characteristics when appling to an active elliptic low pass filter.

  • Though the concept of unique factorization was formulated in tile 19th century, Euclid already had considered the prime factorization of natural numbers, so called tile fundamental theorem of arithmetic. The unique factorization of algebraic integers was a crucial problem in solving elliptic equations and the Fermat Last Problem in tile 19th century On the other hand the unique factorization of the formal power series ring were a critical problem in the past century. Unique factorization is one of the idealistic condition in computation and prime elements and prime ideals are vital ingredients in thinking and solving problems.

  • BDM mixed methods are obtained for a good approximation of velocity for flow equations. In this paper, we study an implementation issue of solving the algebraic system arising from the BDM mixed finite elements. First we discuss post-processing based on the use of Lagrange multipliers to enforce interelement continuity. Furthermore, we establish an equivalence between given mixed methods and projection finite element methods developed by Chen. Finally, we present the implementation of the first order BDM on rectangular grids and show it is as simple as solving the pressure equation.

  • In this paper we discuss some recovery of H(div)-conforming flux approximations from the equilibrated fluxes of Ainsworth and Oden for quadratic finite element methods of second-order elliptic problems. Combined with the hypercircle method of Prager and Synge, these flux approximations lead to a posteriori error estimators which provide guaranteed upper bounds on the numerical error. Furthermore, we prove some superconvergence results for the flux approximations and asymptotic exactness for the error estimator under proper conditions on the triangulation and the exact solution. The results extend those of the previous paper for linear finite element methods.

  • This paper presents a finite element approach for determining the natural frequencies for planar inclined arches of various shapes vibrating in three-dimensional space. The profile of inclined arches, represented by undeformed centriodal axis of cross-section, is defined by the equation of plane curves expressed in the rectangular coordinates which are : circular, parabolic, sine, elliptic, and catenary shapes. In free vibration state, the arch is slightly displaced from its undeformed position. The linear relationship between curvature-torsion and axial strain is expressed in terms of the displacements in three-dimensional space. The finite element discretization along the span length is used rather than the total are length. Numerical results for arches of various shapes are given and they are in good agreement with those reported in literature. The natural frequency parameters and mode shapes are reported as functions of two nondimensional parameters: the span to cord length ratio (e) and the rise to cord length ratio (f).

  • In this study, unity current gain frequency f$\_$T/ of GaAs MESFET is predicted with different temperatures up to 400 $^{\circ}C$. Temperature dependence parameters of the device including intrinsic carrier concentration n$\_$i/ effective mass, depletion width are considered to be temperature dependent. Small signal parameters such as gate-source, gate dran capacitances C$\_$gs/ C$\_$gd/ are correlated with transconductance g$\_$m/ to predict the unity current gain frequency. The extrinsic capacitance which plays an important roles in high frequency region has been taken into consideration in evaluating total capacitance by using elliptic integral through the substrate. From the results, f$\_$T/ decreases as the temperature increases due to the increase of small signal capacitances and the mobility degradation. Finally the extrinsic elements of capacitances have been proved to be critical in deciding f$\_$T/ which are originated from the design rule of the device.

  • We implement the E-plane T-juncition manifold mutiplexer having low insertion loss for output multiplexer of Ku-band satellite transponder. Manifold multiplexer implemented here is composed of 2 channel filters, T-junctions, half-wave waveguide connecting channel filters and manifold, and manifold itself.[1-4] Considering the mass and volume of the satellite transponder, the channel filters are designed to dual-mode.[5-13] And Elliptic filter function is used, which has good characteristics of suppressing the interference between 2 channels. Since the performance of manifold multiplexer depends on the manifold waveguide transmission line length, it's necessary proper analysis. In this paper, we do optimization process of T-junction and other elements by using CAD and implement the manifold multiplexer. An experiment shows that characteristic response of multiplexer matches wel its modeling result.

  • We can get a tridiagonal block Toeplitz linear system by the finite difference approximation of 2-D Poisson equation. To exploit the nice property of this linear equation, we transform the equation into a Lyapunov equation and apply DST (discrete sine transform) to get diagonal matrix based Lyapunov equation. DST can be performed using FFT, which enables high-speed computaion. All the computations are performed on an SIMD parallel computer, the MasPar MP-2 with 4,096 processing elements. In this paper, parallel algorithm, mapping method of the algorithm onto the MP-2, and timing results are presented.
