In the intensely competitive global fashion market, the use of cultural elements to enhance design has become increasingly widespread. However, there is a lack of research on challenges and opportunities associated with integrating cultural elements of Minhwa into fashion design. Moreover, diverse approaches to incorporate Korean cultural elements into contemporary fashion designs are still needed. This study aims to reveal the real-world challenges relating to the incorporation of Korean cultural elements, including Minhwa, into fashion design and to clarify the possibility of applying Lin's cultural levels to cultural aspects in accordance with experts' views. To establish a theoretical foundation, the literature review on cultural design and Minhwa studies was conducted. It analyzes Minhwa to gain an understanding of the characteristics associated with different cultural levels. In-depth interviews with fashion industry professionals and Minhwa artists were conducted to ascertain their attitudes toward Minhwa use. The study's major findings were threefold. First, the cultural design facilitates the introduction, promotion, understanding, and maintenance of the culture. Since Minhwa offers rich inspiration linked to Korean culture, Minhwa-related designs can provide new perspectives while still having commercial potential. Second, however, the limitations of existing cultural designs included their being outdated, superficial without interpretation, unsophisticated, or limited. Furthermore, the use of Minhwa is limited since it is difficult to avoid creating superficial and unsophisticated designs in the real world. Third, approaching Minhwa at different cultural levels can promote diverse thinking and reduce the challenges of Minhwa use in design, but the major challenge remains visual expression.

In a market situation full of brands and products, packaging requires a differentiated design that reflects the needs and trends of the times, as well as the characteristics of the product. Therefore, in this study, through literature reviews, market research methods, questionnaire surveys, eye-tracking experiments, etc., we derived related research and current status of ramen package design, and visual expression elements that induce consumers' subjective perception and interest. As a result, the ramen package design was generally simplified and tended to visualize the spicy taste. Second, consumers buy bag ramen once a week on average at a large discount mart, consider the color of the ramen package design as important, and recognize that the aesthetics of the package design can improve quality. Finally, the spicy phrases and ramen illustrations were the first visual elements of the ramen package design, and for the longest time, attention was focused on the brand name.
In the present study, a new kind of multivariable Reissner-Mindlin plate elements with two kinds of variables based on B-spline wavelet on the interval (BSWI) is constructed to solve the static and vibration problems of a square Reissner-Mindlin plate, a skew Reissner-Mindlin plate, and a Reissner-Mindlin plate on an elastic foundation. Based on generalized variational principle, finite element formulations are derived from generalized potential energy functional. The two-dimensional tensor product BSWI is employed to form the shape functions and construct multivariable BSWI elements. The multivariable wavelet finite element method proposed here can improve the solving accuracy apparently because generalized stress and strain are interpolated separately. In addition, compared with commonly used Daubechies wavelet finite element method, BSWI has explicit expression and a very good approximation property which guarantee the satisfying results. The efficiency of the proposed multivariable Reissner-Mindlin plate elements are verified through some numerical examples in the end.
This study is about the features of hybridization of ethnic-cultural elements in Korean fashion magazines. Its purpose was to embody more creative and newer images in fashion by promoting better mutual understanding of foreign cultures and addressing the issues of fashion design from multicultural perspectives. In doing so, the present study conducted a literature review and analyzed a total of 130 photographic images with any hybrid ethic element from two Korean fashion magazines, Vogue Korea and Harper's Bazaar Korea, issued between 2005 and 2009. The analysis revealed that there were 66 images(50.8%) with a mixture of two different cultures and 64 images(49.2%) with a mixture of three or more different cultures. As seen from the results, the two categories had a similar number of cases. In regional terms, the use of two different cultural elements included a mixture of Asian and Western cultures in 32 images(24.6%), a mixture of Western and African, Middle Eastern or Latin American cultures in 23(17.7%), and a mixture of Western and Russian or European folk cultures in 11(8.5%). In the use of three or more different cultural/national elements, the present study found a mixture of Asian, African, Middle Eastern, Latin American and Western costume items in 20 photo images(15.4%), a mixture of African, Middle Eastern and Latin American elements plus Western costume items in 19 images( 14.6%), a mixture of all regional cultures in 13 photos(10%), and a mixture of Asian ethic cultures plus Western costume items in 12 cases(9.2%). The results of this analysis indicated that the hybridization of ethnic-culture elements in Korean fashion magazines consisted of diverse clothing and accessories from various ethnic groups. The expression of these multi-cultural hybrid images that consists background images and models from different cultures well-portrayed the multi-cultural elements based on total coordination and broke the stereotypical aspects of styling.

The purpose of this study is to develop descriptive metadata elements of contents of oral history records. First, the meaning of contents in transcripts and detailed interview lists, as well as the characteristics of metadata for oral history records, were examined. Second, elements related contents of domestic and international oral history metadata were compared to identify 18 elements, then streamlined 12 elements were set by removing duplicates. Third, 12 elements were compared with detailed interview lists based on transcripts of 6 interviewees who had interviews on knit business in Haebangchon. The result of this study discovered 1 additional element that designated as 'basic' and these were further categorized into 15 element of 'enhanced'. These elements are expected to contribute to expanding the scope of utilization of oral history records by supporting the structure and expression of that contents.
Purpose: As the visual expression cue that can easily reveal and imprint the brand image to consumers becomes more important, franchise coffee shops are making various efforts to establish design elements and brand identity. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the structural model between design elements, brand identity, brand association, brand personality, and brand image of franchise coffee shops from various angles, and to suggest a plan for using visual elements makes a brand image on the franchise in the future. Research design, data, and methodology: This study tests the structural relationship between design elements, brand identity, brand association, brand personality, and brand image of franchise coffee shops. design elements are divided into three attributes (interior design, product design). And brand identity is divided into two attributes (brand name, brand symbol/logo). In order to achieve the purposes of this research, research model and hypotheses were developed based on previous researches. All constructs were measured with multiple items developed and tested in the previous studies. The data were collected from 380 customers who visited franchise coffee shops and were analyzed through SPSS 26.0 and SmartPLS 3.0 statistical package program. Result: As a result of this study, first, it is confirmed that product design has a positive effect on brand association toward coffee shops. Second, interior design and product design have a positive effect on brand personality. Third, all brand identity have a significant positive impact on brand association and brand personality. Finally, brand association and brand personality of coffee specialty shops have a positive effect on brand image. Conclusions: The following implications of this study are as follows. This study is confirmed that there is an effect of design elements attributes and brand identity attributes on brand association and brand personality. And, the brand image was found to be influenced by brand association and brand personality. This suggests that it can be used to establish visible marketing strategies for franchise coffee shops. Therefore, it is necessary to further improve efforts to raise the level of the brand image through visual factors such as unusual interior design, product packages.
The purpose of this study is to develop Korean clothing designs that can satisfy future consumer's needs based on the elements extracted through the content analysis method in a study on the design elements expressed in traditional outfits in the 2010s. To this end, data analyzing Hanbok in wedding magazines were used, and after extracting design elements, research methods for empirical design development were used. After subclassifying the major design elements, factors with a steady increase in frequency and appearance rate were identified. Through this, five elements capable of aesthetic sampling were extracted by complex expression methods and expressed in a total of seven combinations. The types extracted from the design elements are items, silhouette, top shape, skirt shape, skirt length, mixed items with increasing frequency. In the element of color, the adjacent color harmony, which showed the highest frequency of color, and the white-blue harmony, which showed an increase among them, were extracted. When using materials, top and skirt have similar usage rates of the same and different materials, so both contents were extracted, and many patterns were arranged in the top and the whole, but these three were extracted because there were increasing cases where there were no patterns. In the case of decoration, embroidery, pintuck, sakdong, applique, lace, ribbon on the top, silver foil and print on the skirt were extracted. Through this study, it was possible to propose a future Korean costume design model.
Food security will be affected by climate change worldwide, particularly in the developing world, where the most important food products originate from plants. Plants are often exposed to environmental stresses that may affect their growth, development, yield, and food quality. Auxin is a hormone that plays a critical role in improving plants' tolerance of environmental conditions. Auxin controls the expression of many stress-responsive genes in plants by interacting with specific cis-regulatory elements called auxin-responsive elements (AuxREs). In this work, we performed an in silico prediction of AuxREs in promoters of five auxin-responsive genes in Zea mays. We applied a data fusion approach based on the combined use of Dempster-Shafer evidence theory and fuzzy sets. Auxin has a direct impact on cell membrane proteins. The short-term auxin response may be represented by the regulation of transmembrane gene expression. The detection of an AuxRE in the promoter of prolyl oligopeptidase (POP) in Z. mays and the 3-fold overexpression of this gene under auxin treatment for 30 min indicated the role of POP in maize auxin response. POP is regulated by auxin to perform stress adaptation. In addition, the detection of two AuxRE TGTCTC motifs in the upstream sequence of the bx1 gene suggests that bx1 can be regulated by auxin. Auxin may also be involved in the regulation of dehydration-responsive element-binding and some members of the protein kinase superfamily.
The Nramp1/Slc11a1 locus encodes a proton-coupled divalent cation transporter, expressed in late endosomes/lysosomes of macrophages, that constitutes a component of the innate immune response to combat intracellular pathogens and it was shown to play an important role in regulating inherent immunity. The previously identified Z-DNA forming polymorphic repeat(GT)n in the promoter region of the human Nramp1 gene does act as a functional polymorphism influencing gene expression. Research has shown that INF-${\gamma}$, TNF-${\alpha}$, IL-$1{\beta}$ and bacteria LPS increase the level of Nramp1 expression. However, the molecular mechanism for Nramp1 gene regulation is unclear. In this research, bovine Nramp1 5'-flanking region (-1748~+769) was cloned and analyzed by bioinformatics. Then to find the core promoter and the cis-acting elements, deletion analysis of promoter was performed using a set of luciferase reporter gene constructs containing successive deletions of the bovine Nramp1 5'-flanking regions. Promoter activity analysis by the dual luciferase reporter assay system showed that the core promoter of Nramp1 was located at +58~-89 bp. Some positive regulatory elements are located at -89~-205 bp and -278~-1495 bp. And the repressor elements were in region -205~-278 bp, intron1 and -1495~-1748 bp. LPS-responsive regions were located at -1495~-1748 bp and -278~-205 bp. The present study provides an initial effort to explore the molecular mechanism of transcriptional activation of the bovine Nramp1 gene and should facilitate further studies to decode the complex regulatory process and for molecular breeding for disease resistance in bovines.

Lastly interior designer should be able to check whether it was best choice from the consistent design feedback process to ask whether it contains the conceptual design process and new typological objects without non-conformity between past and present days in interior space.
