학교폭력 피해 경험이 우울에 미치는 영향에서 학생과 부모, 학생과 교사 관계의 매개효과: 초·중학생 차이를 중심으로 (The mediative effect of student-parent, student-teacher relationship on the effect of experience of school violence on depression: Difference between elementary and middle school students)

  • 본 연구는 학교폭력 피해 경험이 우울에 미치는 경로에서 학생이 부모나 교사와 맺은 관계가 이를 매개하는지를 구조적으로 검증하는 것과 동시에 초등학생과 중학생 간의 경로 차이를 발견하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해서 한국아동청소년종합실태조사에서 수집한 12세~18세의 청소년 자료 중 1,385명에 해당하는 초등학생과 중학생의 자료를 활용하였고, 구조방정식의 다집단 분석 방법으로 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 학교폭력 피해 경험이 우울에 미치는 영향에 대해서 초등학생이 부모나 교사와 맺은 관계가 매개역할을 하지 못하였지만, 중학생이 부모나 교사와 맺은 관계는 부정적인 매개역할을 수행하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 부모나 교사는 학교폭력 피해로 인해서 초등학생이 겪는 우울에 대해서 부모나 교사는 특별한 역할을 하지 않았지만, 중학생에게는 학교폭력 피해로 인해서 우울을 더 많이 겪게 하는 요인이 된다는 것이다. 이러한 결과를 기반으로 초등학생과 중학생의 학교폭력 피해와 이로 인해서 겪는 우울을 최소화하기 위해서 필요한 실제적인 역할을 제시하였다.

학생, 부모, 교사의 안전 관심도가 초등학교 어린이의 안전행동에 미치는 영향 (Students', Teachers', and Parents' Safety Concerns Affecting Students' Safety Behaviors of Elementary Schools in Korea)

  • Objectives: More than 80% of unintentional injury was related to risk-taking behaviors involved in child accidents. Therefore, diverse care and concerns on safety should be provided from teachers as well as parents to build child safety behaviors. The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of safety concerns from students, teachers, and parents on elementary students' safety behaviors in Korea. Methods: The 5th and 6th grade students participated in this study in 14 elementary schools in Korea and the total number of students was 1,033. The study schools were selected by the stratified cluster sampling method throughout 7 metropolitan areas in Korea. Data were collected by the self-administered survey and the questionnaires were delivered to the vice-principals of the designated schools by ground postal service and the vice-principals conducted survey data collection. The questions on students' safety concerns, teachers' safety concerns, parents' safety concerns, safety practices, safety education, and demographics were included in the survey. All survey responses were encoded into SPSS program and t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis were utilized. Results: The students taking accidents one time more per year were more than 60% and the two thirds of them recognized that their accidents were due to their risk behaviors. Parents' education on safety practices was more frequent than teachers' education; furthermore, teachers' concerns on safety behaviors were poorer than students' or parents' concerns. In terms of safety behaviors, the scores of fire and home-related safety behavior were high but the scores of traffic and bicycle, in particular, helmet wearing practice were low. Three concerns from students, parents, and teachers all were significantly related to children's safety behaviors. Conclusions: In conclusion, safety concerns from the close networks are the important indicator of child safety behaviors and, the safety training programs, therefore, for parents and teachers as well as for students need to be developed for improving children's safe behaviors.

초등학생들의 일반적 특성에 따른 영양보충제 섭취실태 분석 (Analysis of Elementary Students' Intake of Dietary Supplements)

  • The principal objective of this study was to assess the current status of elementary students' intake of dietary supplements, in an effort to diagnose any overnutrition, and to employ the results as basic data for the establishment of a balanced nutritional education. A survey was conducted by using a questionnaire administered to 734 elementary students’ parents in Seoul, and the analyzed results were as follows: Most parents believed that their nutritional knowledge was better than the norm(91.5%). However, almost half of the parents(49.2%) were feeding certain dietary supplements to their children, despite their perception that their children were already healthy, and were not recognizing any significant beneficial effects from those supplements. The most popular dietary supplements being fed were vitamin complexes. The majority of children took at least one type of dietary supplements at a monthly cost of approximately 10,000${\sim}$30,000 won. These results revealed the potential for overnutrition in some of the elementary students as the result of dietary supplement intake; thus, further studies involving assessments of risk for dietary supplement overconsumption in children and proper dietary education for the parents are suggested.

초등학교 어린이들의 경제생활에 대한 행태와 가정의 경제교육환경 (Attitudes and practices toward economic lives and their economic educational environment among the elementary school students)

  • The purpose is to explore elementary students' attitudes towards money and the effects of parents' educational involvement on children's economic behaviors. The subjects are elementary students(N= 123) from first grade to sixth grade. The survey consists of question items of money ethics, attitudes towards money, consumer ethics, parents' attitudes toward economic education, and children's economic practices such as management of allowance, income, saving and savings account. The results are as follows: first, the elementary students show the double standard in attitudes to money, thinking of money as positively being important, at the same time, as being negative social value. Second, the parents play positive models in children's economic education. However, their efforts are not enough so that their children could have desirable economic habits. Therefore, economic education is first needed for the parents and then for children.

초등학생 부모의 양육행동과 심리적 안녕감이 다문화 수용성에 미치는 영향 (Impact on Multi-cultural Acceptance of Child Rearing Behavior of Elementary School Students' Parents and Psychological Well-being)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 초등학생들의 부모양육행동과 심리적 안녕감이 다문화 수용성에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인지를 알아보고자 하였다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 I시에 소재한 초등학생 328명을 대상으로 질문지를 사용하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 결과 첫째, 초등학생들의 부모양육행동, 심리적 안녕감, 다문화 수용성은 배경변인별로 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 초등학생들의 부모양육행동, 심리적 안녕감, 다문화수용성에서 유의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초등학생들의 부모양육행동과 심리적 안녕감이 다문화 수용성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과로 볼 때, 일반가정에서 다문화에 대한 수용이 효과적으로 이루어지기 위해서는 부모들의 양육행동과 심리적 안녕감에 대한 인식과 태도가 변화되어야 하며, 다문화사회의 구성원으로서 일반 가정 학생과 다문화가정 학생 모두 더불어 살아가는데 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

초․중․고등학교 학생․학부모․일반교사의 보건교육 영역별 요구도와 보건교육 (Health Education Needs of Students, Parents and Teachers and the Status of Health Education in Elementary, Middle, and High Schools)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the needs of health education in students, their parents and teachers in the elementary, middle and high schools and the current situation of health education class. Method: The subjects of this study were a total of 9450 persons including students, their parents and teachers from 279 schools throughout the country. They were selected through convenient sampling. Data were analyzed through $\chi^2$-test and ANOVA. Result: Students, their parents and teachers replied that 18 dimensions of health education class (DHEC) are necessary. The four DHEC - healthier life style, sex education, mental health and safety education - showed high educational needs in students, their parents, and teachers. High school students had higher educational need of 'symptom management for daily living' than elementary and middle school students. Students, their parents and teachers in elementary school had higher educational needs of 17 DHEC than those in middle and high school. The percentages of schools with health education class taught by health teachers were 99.2%, 75.5% and 66.0% respectively in elementary, middle and high schools. Health education was given mainly using physical education classes at elementary schools, and creative class hours at middle and high schools. In general, health education took 1-3 hours per week at elementary schools, and less than an hour at middle and high schools. Conclusion: Therefore, based on the results, systematic health education class should begin from elementary school to meet the need of health education in students, their parents and teachers, and further study should be made on the number of hours required and the amount of contents of 18 DHEC.

초.중.고등학교 학생, 학부모, 일반교사의 보건교육 요구 (Needs of Health Education of Students, Parents, and General Teachers in Elementary, Middle, and High Schools)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify needs of health education of the students, parents, general teachers, and health teacher of the elementary, middle, and high schools. Method: 279 schools of elementary, middle, and high school were sampled nonproportionally during the period from June 28 to July 26, 2004 The data were collected by the questionnaire from 1,888 students, 1,876 parents, 1,695 general teachers, 279 health teachers. A frequency, % and $x^2-test$ were used to analysis by SAS program. Result: 1. It showed that 98.1% of elementary school students, 92.3% of middle school students, 89.6% of high school students answered that they need health education. The most of students, parents, and general teachers had high interests in health education. 2. In the case of students, main causes of needs of health education was 'to prevent diseases or accidents'. But parents answered that it was 'to build up a healthier behavior'. General teachers answered that it was 'more effective systematic and continuous health education'. 3. Over 80% of students, parents, and general teachers about the question of who qualified person is to teach health education as a regular class responded that health teacher is available. Especially 93% of elementary school students answered like that. 4. The most of students, parents, and general teachers answered that health education in the classroom is favorable 1 to 2 hours per week. Conclusion: As results of the study, the majority of students, parents, general teachers agreed needs of health education. Therefore, on the basis of this study, systematic and continuous health education is necessary. Additionally the establishment of independent health subject is required certainly.

초등학생들의 학교구강검진결과에 대한 학부모의 이행수준과 관련요인 (Implementation Level and Factors of Parents about Dental Examination in Elementary School Children)

  • This study evaluated the interest of parents of elementary school children on the examination with their memory of results, their consistency and their compliance with results sheets to improve effects of School dental health management project. This study recruited 1,334 second-, third-, fifth- and sixth-grade students at two elementary schools located in Daegu metropolitan city performing School Dental Examination Project in 2008 and investigated whether the students visited dental hospitals following results of the examination, how the parents remembered the results and how their memory was same with real results based on results of the examination, the parents' memory of results. The parents of second- and third-grade students showed good memory of malocclusion and number of Caries and higher consistency for dental caries. The parents of fifth- and sixth-grade students showed good memory of dental caries. Visiting rates of dental hospitals accordance with grade were 75.7% due to dental caries in second- and third-grade students and 60.5% due to malocclusion in fifth- and sixth-grade students. Among students with abnormal results of the examination, 77.1% of the children with dental caries of parents having same memory with real results visited the hospitals while 52.7% of those of parents having different memory with them did.

초등학생의 부모, 교사 및 친구애착이 일탈에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Attachments to Parents, Teachers, and Friends on Delinquencies Among Elementary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of attachments to parents, teachers, and friends on delinquencies among elementary school students. Participants were 2844 elementary school students from the 2004-2006 panel 2 data of the Korea Youth Panel Survey(KYPS). For analyses of research questions, frequencies, descriptive statistics, independent sample t-tests, Pearson correlations and multiple regression analysis were used with SPSS 12.0. Results of the study indicated that : (1) For boys, attachments to parents reduced delinquencies more than for girls. However, for girls, attachments to teachers reduced delinquencies more than for boys. (2) Attachments to friends influenced delinquencies negatively in the 4th grade, but influenced delinquencies positively in the 6th grade. (3) When boys and girls kept in touch with delinquent peers, attachments to parents largely influenced delinquencies.

초.중.고생의 인터넷 중독과 부모에 대한 애착 및 자기조절 간의 관계 (The Relationship between Students' Internet Addiction, Attachment to Parents and Self Control)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the relationship of students' attachment to parents and their self control to Internet addiction. The participants in this study included 338 elementary students, 371 junior high students, and 342 high school students of Kyunggi province. They were categorized into 3 groups by their aptitude to Internet addiction: serious addicts, potential addicts, and non-addicts. According to the results, older students showed higher tendency toward Internet addiction, and more insecure attachment to their parents. More than 20% of participants were disposed to addiction to the Internet, indicating that immediate intervention should be applied. Significant variables to explain students' Internet addiction were differentiated along their developmental levels. Attachment to parents was related to the Internet addiction of elementary and junior high students, while self control was more critical for high school students' addiction.
