Mosts of export/import cargo has been moving using maritime transport means. Korea had been driven the system automation project using EDI document since the mid-1990s. However, this automation system comes upon about 40-50% against overall maritime business process, manual or paper document processing work is existing as ever. International e-business environment also has changing into electronic form document transaction from paper document-based transaction. International standardization organization, UN/CEFACT proposed UNeDocs for paperless jtransaction. UNeDocs is a specification to define XML data model as well as electronic form. With UNeDocs, it is not necessary to generate the duplexed data, and it can support user convenient and guarantee the flexibility. This paper defines the UNeDocs data model for EDI and Off-Line processing at the current maritime business. Then, it have to check XML syntax and structure for the defined data model through quality of document check system. Also, it explains the applying plan about the defined UNeDocs data model. It is possible to support paperless transaction as defining UNeDocs-based standard data model and converting into paper document, XML and EDI document using UNeDocs data model.

Information processing using computer in generalized in the office automation. In spite of to be integrate and concise form of document through computer network, signature of document with hand have processed as ever. The security on document flow out severely unjust by reason of increment inverse function of computer. Because of revelation secret of enterprise result from unjust outflow, lots of loss of self-enterprise is occured. In this paper, we used efficiently document using the method, electronic approval system with encryption, for the resolving above problems. Also we persue maintenance of security for the important document and process document signature rapidly. Finally, we design and implementation of electronic approval system that take one's share of function between server and client using to be transformed Vernam's encryption technique in stored document.

The purpose of this study is to analyze undergraduate nursing students' electronic document use and reading behavior. To do this, a survey questionnaire was collected from 509 respondents who experienced reading behavior for the last semester. The results of this study show that nursing students' preference of electronic documents is higher than that of printed documents in general. They also prefer electronic documents to printed documents when they want to keep documents. Of respondents, about 94% or higher spent 30mins or more to find information and the main source to find information is 'Naver' search engine as the highest information source, and the place to access information is 'Home' as their highest information access location. In particular, the preference of the document 'on the move' is electronic documents and the main reason includes convenience and easiness to access and move the documents. The findings of this study expect to facilitate the understanding of undergraduate nursing students electronic document use and reading behavior so that it can be used to design and develop medical digital library services and tools more effectively and efficiently in medical area in the future. Furthermore, it expects to provide useful data in promoting user services in digital library in a whole.

In rapidly changing an information=oriented society, it is essential to control massive document information by electronic file. In relation to these electronic document, it is also important to keep and maintain all kinds of information without any losses. It should be allowed to trace previous contents as well as recently updated contents by controlling updated contents with version. For these, XML is recommendable. In this thesis, we intend to save the document storing space by saving only updated contents with version without saving whole documentation, when document is updated. In case of controlling the history of document update by version, we designed system so as to omit "JOIN operation" if document size is under a certainspecific size. Therefore, we implemented a new XML document repository system which is possible for quick search and efficient XML document saving by reducing perfomance deterioration caused by JOIN operation.

A letter of credit transaction of the preexistence have been raising one's head fraud charge problem as a result of abusing the principles of independence and abstraction. Every society has certain rules and conventions which it regards as important and most of people in any society. The paper document means a document in a traditional paper form. The eUCP credit must specify the formats in which electronic records are to be presented. In these present times, the issuance of documentary credit are performed by the SWIFT(Society for Worldwide Inter bank Financial Telecommunication) system. The eUCP have been written to allow for presentation completely electronically or for a mixture of paper documents and electronic presentation. Presentation is deemed not to have been made if the Beneficiary's notice is not received. An electronic record that cannot be authenticated is deemed not to have been presented. The e-UCP is the supplement of current existing UCP but is superior to UCP under some circumstances. The document shall include an electronic record. The place for presentation of electronic records means an electronic address. The current e-UCP is not clear on this matter. We have to note followings in case of presenting the documents electronically and applying the e-UCP. There are three principles in the letter of credit transaction, that is to say, independence and abstraction, document dealing, strict compliance. IN the electronic letter of credit, these principles are called as independence and abstraction, electronic document dealing, strict compliance.

Electronic transaction using electronic documents be carried without direct person to person meeting, there is the possibility to use other's identity illegally without notice and to verity authenticity of transaction. It is very hard to find out that the electronic documents on the process of submitting is forged documents or not and also has much difficulty in maintaining transmitting secret. Therefore, to solve such problems on electronic transactions, certification system with cryptography skill are inevitably necessary. Also there is needed legal base in the electronic document as functional equivalent of the paper document. Recently there are so many commercial certification service provider(CPS) such as Identrus, Bolero, TEDI but their establishment of CPS, certification process, guideline and so on are different each CPS. Therefore, this kind of situation can make user confuse. To introduce and develop the electronic certification in the international electronic commerce not domestic electronic commerce, it need to authorize and operate certification authority under the uniform regulation base. But, because the laws and guidelines that related to electronic certification system are different among the nations and international organizations, it need to compare laws and guidelines. In conclusion, the most important thing to resolve problems surrounded certification and develope certification system in the international electronic commerce make uniform rule of international electronic certification to recognize internationally from each nation or at least, need to harmony laws and guideline in each nations.

The quality of document image captured from electronic display might be worse when it is compared with document image captured from paper. The problem appears because of Moir? noise. This problem can lead to achieve inaccurate intermediate result for further image processing. This paper proposes a method to remove Moir? noise of document images captured from electronic display. The proposed algorithm is separated in two parts. In the first step, it corrects the text area region (foreground) with small area of smoothing. Then, it corrects the background area with large area of smoothing.

Information technologies have been wide spread in the public sector, especially government administrative of office. This research is aimed to automate the generating process of the database from paper based table forms like this work. The registration table has so complicate table structures, ana in this research we used the registration tables as an example of general table structure understanding. We propose a table structure understanding system for some table types, and it has some steps. The first step is that the document images on paper are read from the image scanner. The second step is that a document image segments into some tables. In the third step, the character strings is extracted using image processing technology and the property of the character strings is determined. And the structured database is generated automatically. The proposed system consists of two systems. "Master document generation system" is used for the table form definition, and it doesn′t include the handwritten characters. "Structure analysis system for complete d table" is used for the written form, and it analyzes the table form filled in the handwritten character. We implemented the system using MS Visual C＋＋ on Windows, and it can get the correct extraction rate 98％ among 51 registration tables written by the different students.

Electronic paper resources management becomes an important alternative to overcome the inefficiency of various dysfunctions and pathologies dependent upon bureaucratic paperworks and to enhance organizational competitiveness. Korean government and enterprises have less recognized the importance of electronic document management and ignored the merits of introducing information technology into organizations. By means of document and paper exchange, decision making and signature, mail and bulletin board systems, information disclosure and sharing using electronic technology, however, electronic document management system can enhance organizational performance on a considerable degree. In this sense, it is necessary to introduce the system as soon as possible. Several measures are required : revising related laws and regulations, reforming the sense and behavior of personnel, establishing technological basis of the system, standardizing word processors and document formats.
