In this occurs not burning, so that the working environment can be improved. This electromagnetic induction heating technique is used high frequency inverter. By using high frequency inverter high frequency alternative current (HFAC) in the range of [kHz] can be made with conventional alternative current. In this contribution IGBT module is used for high frequency inverter. • In this study, we proposed a high frequency induction hardening analysis method based on electromagnetic-thermal co-simulation. In the high frequency induction heating analysis, the results of the finite element analysis (FEA) (considering the change of the material property and the cooling factor according to the temperature) and those of the high frequency induction hardening experiment (using the S45C specimen) were compared. The hardness of the S45C specimens was measured using the micro Vickers hardness test to determine the depth of hardening. The measurement results were then compared with the results of FEA. The result of high frequency induction heating analysis showed that the temperature was more than $750^{\circ}C$, which is the A2 transformation point of S45C, while the temperature during quenching was below $200^{\circ}C$. The results showed that the difference of the depth of hardening between the FEA and the experiment is 0.2mm.

  • This paper proposes a sampling-based sensitivity method for dealing with electromagnetic coupled design problems effectively. The black-box modeling technique is basically applied to obtain an optimum regardless of how strong the electromagnetic, thermal and structural analyses are coupled with each other. To achieve this, Kriging surrogate models are produced in a hyper-cubic local window with the center of a current design point. Then design sensitivity values are extracted from the differentiation of basis functions which consist of the models. The proposed method falls under a hybrid optimization method which takes advantages of the sampling-based and the sensitivity-based methods. Owing to the aforementioned feature, the method can be applied even to electromagnetic problems of which the material properties are strongly coupled with thermal or structural outputs. To examine the accuracy and validity of the proposed method, a strongly nonlinear mathematical example and a coil design problem for local induction heating are tested.

  • This paper presents an analysis on the induction heating of ring flange for wind farm. Ring flange is used for the connection of poles when building a column of wind power plant. Heat treatment of ring flange with the diameter of ${\O}1,000mm$ has been considered. For analysis on the induction heating, FEA is used. Firstly, electromagnetic filed analysis was performed to get the induction current distribution on the steel, After that, heat transfer analysis was performed using the magnetic filed analysis results. for more precise analysis, some measurement for permeability has been performed and the measurement data was used during the analysis. From the analysis, we get the temperature distribution on the ring flange.

  • As the Eco-energy is recently required, electrical energy is fast increased. Several induction heating methods are attractive for Eco-energy and energy saving. In this paper, electrical fan heater was designed and developed with new concept for energy saving by electromagnetic induction heating. Proposed system was composed of three module, blast part, induction heating part and power transformation part. Induction heating method was adapted for heating and the resonant inverter was used for increasing of the power transformation efficiency. Full-bridge resonant inverter was adopted to resonant inverter. This system was composed of induction heating part made with metal(SUS 40 series), and power transformation part made with rectifier module, filter module and resonant inverter. From these results, the proposed new electric heater could be saved the energy from faster increasing the temperature compared to commercial gas and other electric heater. This electrical fan heater is possible to be used in field of home, commercial and agricultural area for eco-energy saving heater.

  • This paper describes the process of levitation melting of metals in an axisymmetric induction heating system. This process has advantages of low heat losses, heating with short times and clean operating conditions. The shape of molten metal is determined using sensitivity analysis and optimization technique. Electromagnetic, gravitational and surface tension energies are considered, and these energies are used as an objective function in optimization process. Electromagnetic field are calculated using the finite element method. The fact that volume is constant in the process is also considered as an equality constraint.

  • This paper is described the indirect induction heated boiler system and induction heated hot air producer using the voltage-fed series resonant high-frequency inverter which can operate in the frequency range from 20〔KHz〕 to 50〔KHz〕. A specially designed Induction heater, which is composed of laminated stainless assembly with many tiny holes and interconnected spot welding points between stainless plates, is inserted into the ceramic type vessel with external working coil. This working coil is connected to the resonant inverter. In the induction heater, it's primary heating section creates low-pressure saturated steam and secondary heating section generates heat distribution evaporating fluid from the turbulence fluid which is flowing through the vessel. The operating performances of this unique appliance in next generation and its effectiveness are evaluated and discussed from the practical point of view.
