A Wibro RF down converter of 2.3GHz band is designed and implemented in this paper. The problems that can occur in the receiver LNA(Low Noise Amplifier) to minimize additional purposes. In addition, 2.3GHz band from the 75 MHz downward to minimize the losses in the process, transform and improve efficiency, and achieve stable characteristics can be used to make high frequency characteristics of the device. Wibro repeater uses a TDMA(Time Division Multiplexing Access) method is needed because the RF switch. Production criterion specification, the input voltage from +8 V 1.2A of current consumption, 60dB gain and the noise figure of less than 2.5dB, VSWR(Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) less than 1.5, more than IMD(Inter Modulation Distortion) 60dB satisfied. Environmental conditions ($-20^{\circ}C$ to $70^{\circ}C$) to pass the test of reliability in a long time, that seemed crafted Wibro down converter be applied to the Wibro repeater.

In this paper, we present an improved image formation model and propose a color image enhancement based on the model. In the presented image formation model, an input image is represented as a product of global illumination, local illumination, and reflectance. In the proposed color image enhancement, an input RGB color image is converted into an HSV color image. Under the assumption of white-light illumination, the H and S component images are remained as they are and the V component image only is enhanced based on the image formation model. The global illumination is estimated by applying a linear LPF with wide support region to the input V component image and the local illumination by applying a JND (just noticeable difference)-based nonlinear LPF with narrow support region to the processed image, where the estimated global illumination is eliminated from the input V component image. The reflectance is estimated by dividing the input V component image by the estimated global and local illuminations. After performing the gamma correction on the three estimated components, the output V component image is obtained from their product. Histogram modeling is next executed such that the final output V component image is obtained. Finally an output RGB color image is obtained from the H and S component images of the input color image and the final output V component image. Experimental results for the test image DB built with color images downloaded from NASA homepage and MPEG-7 CCD color images show that the proposed method gives output color images of very well-increased global and local contrast without halo effect and color shift.

This study examined the effects of the contact position and structure of the test probe on its signal transmission characteristics. The contact position in the operating of the test probe was considered and then divided into the plunger inner contact and barrel inlet contact. The high frequency performance of the test probes was investigated for both contact positions. The signal transmission characteristics of the test probes with the structures of double, single, and out-spring was also analyzed. The insertion and return losses were calculated using the HFSS and the characteristic impedance of the test probes was analyzed using a Q3D simulation. The insertion loss of the barrel inlet contact was smaller than that of the plunger inner contact. The contact position of the test probe may result in a change in the high frequency performance. The out-spring probe has better frequency characteristics at -1 dB insertion loss and -10 dB return loss. The double probe and single probe have the same characteristic impedance with $30.8{\Omega}$. On the other hand, the out-spring probe has an impedance of $47.1{\Omega}$. The out-spring probe is closer to $50{\Omega}$ than the other probes and then shows higher signal transmission characteristics. The out-spring probe has superior high-frequency characteristics and is expected to be suitable for high-speed applications.

When the conventional IPD (inter-poly-dielctrics) layer with ONO(oxide-nitride-oxide) structure was used in the Flash EEPROM cell, its data retention characteristics were significanfly degraded because the top oxide of the ONO layer was etched off due to the cleaning process used in the gate oxidation process for the peripheral MOSFETs. When the IPD layer with the ONON(oxide-nitride-oxide-nitride) was used there, however, its data retention characteristics were much improved because the top nitride of the ONON layer protected the top oxide from being etched in the cleaning process. For the modelling of the data retention characteristics of the Flash EEPROM cell with the ONON IPD layer, the decrease of the threshold voltage cue to the charge loss during the bake was here given by the empirical relation ${\Delta}V_t\; = \;{\beta}t^me^{-ea/kT}$ and the values of the ${\beta}$=184.7, m=0.224, Ea=0.31 eV were obtained with the experimental measurements. The activation energy of 0.31eV implies that the decrease of the threshold voltage by the back was dur to the movement of the trapped electrons inside the inter-oxide nitride layer. On the other hand, the results of the computer simulation using the model were found to be well consistent with the results of the electrical measurements when the thermal budget of the bake was not high. However, the latter was larger then the former in the case of the high thermal budger, This seems to be due to the leakage current generated by the extraction of the electrons with the bake which were injected into the inter-oxide niride later and were trapped there during the programming, and played the role to prevent the leakage current. To prevent the generation of the leakage current, it is required that the inter-oxide nitride layer and the top oxide layer be made as thin and as thick as possible, respectively.
The $Pb_{0.94}Y_{0.04}[(Zr_{0.6}Sn_{0.4})_{0.915}Ti_{0.085}]O_3$ ceramics which corresponded to the antiferroelectric-ferroelectric phase boundary composition were prepared for digital-type-piezoelectric/electrostrictive device application. Their dielectric, field-induced polarization (P) and strain (X) behaviors were studied with variations in sintering condition and excess PbO content. The orthorhombic structure of specimens was hardly affected either by excess PbO addition or sintering temperature. With increasing excess PbO content, grains tended to be smaller and rounded ones, and the optimum sintering temperature was lowered. Excess PbO addition stabilized the antiferroelectric phase of the specimen effectively, which was confirmed by P-E and X-E analyses. Also the digital-type-strain character was found to be enhanced despite of slight increase in phase transition (AFE-FE) field and electrical resistivity, and decrease in maximum strain. These results were explained in terms of possible lattice defects and domain wall motion.

In this paper, we propose a new visual odometry technique by combining a forward-looking stereo camera and a backward-looking monocular camera. The main goal of the proposed technique is to identify the location of a moving vehicle which travels long distance and comes back to the initial position in urban road environments. While the vehicle is moving to the destination, a global 3D map is updated continuously by a stereo visual odometry technique using a graph theorem. Once the vehicle reaches the destination and begins to come back to the initial position, a map-based monocular visual odometry technqieu is used. To estimate the position of the returning vehicle accurately, 2D features in the backward-looking camera image and the global map are matched. In addition, we utilize the previous matching nodes to limit the search ranges of the next vehicle position in the global map. Through two navigation paths, we analyze the accuracy of the proposed method.
In this paper, we propose an DAP system for dose evaluation of medical and industrial X-ray generator. Based on the DAP measurement technique using the Ion-Chamber, the proposed system can clearly measure the exposure radiation dose generated by the diagnostic X-ray apparatus. The hardware part of the DAP measures the amount of charge in the air that is captured by an X-ray. The high-speed processing algorithm part for cumulative radiation dose measurement through microcurrent measures the amount of charge captured by X-ray at a low implementation cost (power) with no input loss. The wired/wireless transmission/reception protocol part synchronized with the operation of the X-ray generator improves communication speed. The PC-based control program part for interlocking and aging measures the amount of X-ray generated in real time and enables measurement graphs and numerical value monitoring through PC GUI. As a result of evaluating the performance of the proposed system in an accredited testing laboratory, the measured values using DAP increased linearly in each energy band (30, 60, 100, 150 kV). In addition, since the standard deviation of the measured value at the point of 4 division was ${\pm}1.25%$, it was confirmed that the DAP showed uniform measurements regardless of location. It was confirmed that the normal operation was not less than ${\pm}4.2%$ of the international standard.

The range of hardware implementation increases in communication systems as high-speed processing is required for high data rate. In the broadband wireless access (BWA) system based on IEEE standard 802.16 the functions of higher part in the MAC layer to Provide data needed for generating MAC PDU are implemented in software, and the tasks from formatting MAC PDUs by using those data to transmitting the messages in a modem are implemented in hardware. In this paper, the interface hardware for efficient message exchange between MAC and PHY layers in the BWA system is designed. The hardware performs the following functions including those of the transmission convergence(TC) sublayer; (1) formatting TC PDU(Protocol data unit) from/to MAC PDU, (2) Reed-solomon(RS) encoding/decoding, and (3) resolving DL MAP and UL MAP, so that it controls transmission slot and uplink and downlink traffic according to the modulation scheme of burst profile. Also, it provides various control signal for PHY modem. In addition, the truncated binary exponential backoff (TBEB) algorithm is implemented in a subscriber station to avoid collision on contention-based transmission of messages. The VLSI architecture performing all these functions is implemented and verified in VHDL.
Real-time virtual studios which could run only on expensive workstations are now available for personal computers thanks to the recent development of graphics hardware. Nevertheless, graphics are rendered off-line in the post production stage in film or TV drama productions, because the graphics' quality is still restricted by the real-time hardware. Software-based camera tracking methods taking only the source video into account take much computation time, and often shows unstable results. To overcome this restriction, we propose a system that stores camera motion data from sensors at shooting time as common virtual studios and uses them in the post production stage, named as POVIS(post virtual imaging system). For seamless registration of graphics onto the camera video, precise zoom lens calibration must precede the post production. A practical method using only two planar patterns is used in this work. We present a method to reduce the camera sensor's error due to the mechanical mismatch, using the Kalman filter. POVIS was successfully used to track the camera in a documentary production and saved much of the processing time, while conventional methods failed due to lack of features to track.
This paper proposes method about development of conversion software for controller without OPC stack to communicate with OPC DA client. The proposed method is composed of development of OPC server based on OPC DA standard protocol, development of GUI application can be checked the OPC tag and point informations, development of conversion module to convert from OPC protocol to open standard protocol. In the stage of development of OPC server based on OPC DA standard protocol, we develope server in the pc to transmit and receive datum through OPC DA protocol with OPC DA client.
