The rheologic properties of elastic impression materials is a very important role as taking high accuracy impression. But, the studies that are focused on the rheologic properties of Korean elastic impression materials are not sufficient. The purpose of this study is to help clinical high accuracy impression taking by testing rheologic properties of elastic impression material that is made by Korea and other countries. Six type III elastic impression materials are tested. Subjects are 2 Korean polyvinylsiloxane(PVS), 2 imported PVS, 1 polyether, and 1 polysulfide. HAAKE RheoStress $1^{(R)}$(Thermo Electron Co. Germany)is used in measuring. HAAKE RheoStress $1^{(R)}$ is plate to plate type rheometer. All subjects is tested 3 times and measuring time is 900 seconds. We measured G′ and loss tangent after mixing. All elastic impression materials had a sigmoid shape on increasing G′ by time and decreasing loss tangent after setting, maximum G' is appeared highest in polyether, and lowest in polysulfide. Initial loss tangent is highest in polyether, and is lowest in Koreans PVS. Significant difference is showed in initial loss tangent between Korean PVS and imported PVS.

The secondary motion of piston occurs due to the transient forces and moments in the clearances between piston skirt and cylinder liner The motions are very related to the skirt profile and the magnitude of piston-pin offset. Above all, the elastic deformation is another major effect on the piston secondary motion that has not been considered in the previous researches. In this work, the effects of elastic deformation of the piston skirt on the secondary piston motion are studied for the frictional power loss by using commercial softares, PISDYN and ANSYS.
This article deals with the spin loss analysis of friction drive CVTs, especially for the cases of S-CVT and SS-CVT. There are two main sources of power loss resulting from slippage in the friction drive CVT, spin and slip loss. Spin loss, which is also a main design issue in traction drives, results from the elastic contact deformation of rotating bodies having different rotational velocities. The structure and operating principles of the S-CVT and SS-CVT are first reviewed briefly. And to analyze the losses resulting from slippage, we reviewed previous analyses of the friction mechanism. A modified classical friction model is proposed, which describes the friction behavior including Stribeck (i.e., pre-sliding) effect. It is also performed an in-depth study for the velocity fields generated at the contact regions along with a Hertzian analysis of deflection. Hertzian results were employed to construct the geometric parameters and normal pressure distributions of the contact surface with respect to elastic and plastic deformations. With analytic formulations of the relative velocity field, deflection, and friction mechanism of the S-CVT and SS-CVT, quantitative analyses of spin loss for each case are carried out. As a result, explicit models of spin loss were developed.

Previous research has been conducted on an ultrasonic wave reflection method that utilizes a steel plate embedded in the concrete to measure the reflection loss of shear waves at the steel-concrete interface. The reflection loss has been shown to have a linear relationship to compressive strength at early ages. The presented investigations continue this research by examining the fundamental relationship between the reflection loss, measured with shear waves, and the hydration kinetics of Portland cement mortar, represented by dynamic elastic moduli, compressive strength and degree of hydration. Dynamic elastic moduli are measured by fundamental resonant frequency and degree of hydration is determined by thermogravimetric analysis. The water/cement ratio was varied for the tested mixture compositions. The results presented herein show that compressive strength, dynamic shear modulus and degree of hydration have a linear relationship to the reflection loss for the tested mortars at early ages.

In this paper, the methode of calculating conversion loss is proposed by considering the thickness of bonding medium between electrode and delay material in the vibrator of Elastic delay lines. As the result of computations using digital computer, it is shown that the thickness of bonding medium must be less than about 1/100 of the thickness of vibrator and when the thickness of electrode is about 1110 of vibrator, the center fnequency is shifted. When the thickness of bonding medium is equal to or more than the thickness of vibrator, the 리uctuations in frequency Bandwidth become larger and larger.
The objective of this study is to model and simulate the nonlinear lubrication performance of the sliding part between the piston and cylinder wall in a hydrostatic swash-plate-type axial piston pump. A numerical algorithm is developed that facilitates simultaneous calculation of the rotating body motion and fluid film pressure to observe the fluid film geometry and power loss. It is assumed that solid asperity contact, so-called mixed lubrication in this study, invariably occurs in the swash-plate-type axial piston pump, which produces a higher lateral moment on the pistons than other types of hydrostatic machines. Two comparative mixed lubrication models, rigid and elastic, are used to determine the reaction force and sliding friction. The rigid model does not allow any elastic deformation in the partial lubrication area. The patch shapes, reactive forces, and virtual local elastic deformation in the partial lubrication area are obtained in the elastic contact model using a simple Hertz contact theory. The calculation results show that a higher reaction force and friction loss are obtained in the rigid model, indicating that solid deformation is a significant factor on the lubrication characteristics of the reciprocating piston part.
An analytical model for the lateral vibration of beams with a bonded lap joint and partial layered dampers has been proposed in this paper. Both shear and normal forces acting along the interface between the elastic and viscoelastic layers were considered in the vibration analysis. Analytical results were compared with those obtained by a finite element method. Effects of the size and location of layers in partial dampers on system loss factor($\eta_s$) and resonant frequency($\omega_r$) were studied. which showed that partial dampers adhered to the site exhibiting the maximum amplitude of vibration were most influential in the increase of $\eta_s$ and the decrease of $\omega_r$. Specific system loss factor( $\eta_s$ divided by total mass of system) was also evaluated in the analysis.

Elastic-factor of elastic epoxy were investigated by TMA (Thermomechanical Analysis), DMTA (Dynamic Mechanical Thermal Analysis), TGA (Thermogravimetric Analysis) and FESEM (Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope) for structure-images analysis as toughness-investigation to improve brittleness of existing epoxy resin. A range of measurement temperature of the TMA and DMTA was changed from -20($^{\circ}C$) to $200^{\circ}(C)$, and TGA was changed from $0^{\circ}(C)$ to $600^{\circ}(C)$. Glass transition temperature (Tg) of elastic epoxy was measured through thermal analysis devices with the content of 0(phr), 20(phr) and 35(phr). Also, thermal expansion coefficient (a), high temperature, modulus and loss factor were investigated through TMA, TGA, and DMTA. In addition, the structure of specimens was analyzed through FESEM, and then elastic-factor of elastic epoxy was visually showed by FESEM. As thermal analysis results, 20(phr) was more excellent than 30(phr) thermally and mechanically. Specially, thermal expansion coefficient, high temperature, modulus, and damping properties were excellent. By structure-images analysis through FESEM, we found elastic-factor of elastic epoxy that is not existing epoxy, and proved high impact.
As toughness-investigation to improve brittleness of existing epoxy resin, elastic-factor of elastic epoxy using TMA (Thermomechanical Analysis), DMTA (Dynamic Mechanical Thermal Analysis) and FESEM (Field Emission Scanning Electron Microsope) for structure-images analysis were investigated. A range of measurement temperature of the TMA, DMTA was changed from -20[$^{\circ}C$] to 200[$^{\circ}C$]. When modifier was ratio of 0[phr], 20[phr], 35[phr], glass transition temperature (Tg) of elastic epoxy was measured through thermal analysis devices. In this paper, epoxy elasticity factors were investigated by TMA (Thermomechanical Analysis), DMTA (Dynamic Mechanical Thermal Analysis) and FESEM (Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope) to improve toughness and reduce brittleness of existing epoxy resin. Dumbbell shaped specimens were made and tested at rates of 0, 20 and 35phr (part per hundred resins). TMA temperatures ranged from -2$0^{\circ}C$ to 20$0^{\circ}C$. Tg (glass transition temperature) of elastic epoxy was measured by thermal analysis. Also investigated were thermal expansion coefficient ($\alpha$), modulus and Tan$\delta$ (loss factor). And we analyzed structure through FESEM, could find elastic-factors of elastic epoxy that is not existing-epoxy. In addition, we measured permittivity and Tan$\delta$ for investigation of the electrical properties of elastic epoxy. Permittivity and Tan$\delta$ depend on elastomer composition. Namely, permittivity and Tan$\delta$ increase according to the elastomer contents. For experimental analysis results, 20phr was considered an excellent specimen.
