The Effect of Factors on Continuous Use of Video Telephony Service for Mobile Devices (영상통화 서비스의 지속적인 사용 요인에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to identify the critical factors influencing on the continuous use of video telephony service for mobile devices. An empirical analysis has been performed by using service quality, brand image, price, fun as influencing factors, and satisfaction and commitment as mediating factors. The partial least squares(PLS) methodology with 228 questionnaires has been conducted. The results indicated that brand image, price, and fun were mediated by satisfaction and commitment to have a statistically significant influence on continuous use of video telephony service. Service quality showed a significant effect on continuous use mediated by satisfaction while it did not show any influence through commitment. Based on the results, companies in the communication service industry should consider and focus on the improved brand image, appropriate fees, and individual preferences for fun for the successful marketing activities, and should also maintain amicable relations with their customers.

  • This study is to apply a goal-directed model for ethical consumption behavior and to see which factors influence consumers' boycott intention. We identify factors related to a goal-directed model for consumers, level of ethical consumption tendency, and boycott desire; in addition, factors that affect boycott intentions were also analyzed. The results of this study are as follows. First, consumers' boycott intentions are not high and public intention motivation is relatively low. Second, negative anticipated emotion shows an indirect effect with boycott desire as a mediator. Third, ethical consumption tendency has a significant effect on boycott desire and boycott intention. Therefore, we have to let consumers know that boycott actually shows a consumer's right and that it is also necessary to conduct various ethical consumption education.

The effect of Buyer's Leadership on Vendor's Relational-orientation and SCM performance (공급체인리더십이 SCM 성과에 미치는 영향)

  • Since companies are increasingly aware of the importance of upstream and downstream organizations to their performance, companies' leaders would also like to influence operations with supply chain partners. This paper aims to study the SCM performance and the influencing factors, that is Buyer's leadership and Vendor's relationship-orientation. Also, I try to examine the mediating effect of relationship-orientation between leadership and SCM performance. The results of this study can be summarized as follow; (1) The charismatic trait and individual consideration in transformational leadership factors, and contingent reward in transactional leadership factors positively effected to the relational-orientation. But intellectual stimulation and management-by-exception did not effected to relational-orientation. (2) Only contingent reward in transactional leadership factors was significantly related to the SCM performance. (3) Relational-orientation mediated between SCM leadership and SCM performance.

  • A lack of trust in the technical and institutional environments surrounding the web can hinder e-commerce adoption, because Internet social cues are minimal and trust is difficult th establish. Web vendors must act purposefully to overcome consumer perceptions of uncertainty and risk by building trust-both in their own web sites and in the broader Internet environments. Trust makes consumers comfortable by sharing personal information making purchases, and acting on web vendor advice-behaviors essential to wide-spread adoption of e-commerce. Understanding the nature and antecedents of trust is, therefore, a major issue for both Internet researchers and practitioners. Prior research on e-commerce trust has used diverse, incomplete, and inconsistent definitions of trust therefore, making it difficult to compare results across studies. This study tried to and the empirical relationships among the trust-related factors on the usage of Internet shooing mall. The model includes five high-level constructs-disposition to trust institution-based trust trusting beliefs, trusting intention and environmental factors. The results showed that the disposition to trust and the environmental factors had a significant effect on the web site trust however, their effect was not consistent Moreover, the model suggested in this study need to be extended including with the more sociological factors and results in this study required to be verified with those extended model.

  • This study analyze factors influencing business performance by types of agricultural corporation for improving performance. The number of agricultural corporations have been increasing but their profitability has been decreasing. In this situation, it is important to analyze factors influencing business performance for improving their profitability. We estimate a model including financial indexes and corporation's characters using ordinary least square. We use agricultural corporations survey data for 10years(2005~2014) of Statistics Korea. This study analyze bookkeeping recorded agricultural corporations for the same period. As a result, we find factors to influence Return on Assets(ROA). Additionally, we calculate optimized current ratio and debt ratio for ROA maximization. Operation period and the number of full-time workers also have a positive effect on ROA. Agricultural production, processing and distribution variables by business types have a positive effect on ROA, but some of their interaction terms have a negative effect on ROA. We expect that this result will help for improving corporation's business performance.

  • Purpose: The current study aims at knowing and testing factors supporting business and how to distribute it for resilience business in new normal era. Factors Supporting business resilience will be seen in terms of entrepreneurial competence, technology utilization and government support for business resilience through entrepreneurial spirit as an intervening variable. Research design, data, and methodology: A constructed questionnaire in direct survey and interview was conducted with 97 respondents in South Sulawesi. Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis, was utilized to analyze and verify all the data. Results: This study indicated entrepreneurial competence and utilization of technology have a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial spirit, while government support has no significant effect on entrepreneurial spirit. This study also indicated that entrepreneurial spirit has a significant effect on business resilience. Conclusion: To increase business resilience, it is very important to have entrepreneurial skills and mastery on utilization of technology. To anticipate future crises, entrepreneurial competencies must be evenly distributed both for business owners and for all members of the organization. To institutionalize crisis management in business, it is important for SMEs in Indonesia to develop an institutionalized Business Crisis Management.

Applicability of Mini-Cone Penetration Test Used in a Soil Box

  • In this study, we conducted verification of key influencing factors during cone penetration testing using the developed Mini Cone Penetration Tester (Mini-CPT), and compared the experimental results with empirical formulas to validate the equipment. The Mini-CPT was designed to measure cone penetration resistance through a Strain Gauge, and the resistance values were calibrated using a Load Cell. Moreover, the influencing factors were verified using a model ground constituted in a soil box. The primary influencing factors examined were the boundary effect of the soil box, the distance between cone penetration points, and the cone penetration speed. For the verification of these factors, the experiment was conducted with the model ground having a relative density of 63.76% in the soil box. It was observed that the sidewall effect was considerably significant, and the cone penetration resistance measured at subsequent penetration points was higher due to the influence between penetration points. However, within the speed range considered, the effect of penetration speed was almost negligible. The measured cone penetration resistance was compared with predicted values obtained from literature research, and the results were found to be similar. It is anticipated that using the developed Mini-CPT for constructing model grounds in the laboratory will lead to more accurate geotechnical property data.

The Effect of Service Emotional Experience on Relational Performance in the Family Restaurant (패밀리 레스토랑의 서비스 감성체험이 관계적 성과에 미치는 영향)

  • It is widely agreed that customers' purchase are strongly influenced by their emotions. despite the obvious importance of eliciting positive emotional responses from customers, we find no record that family restaurants have ever measured or used customers' emotions as a management tool. This study aimed to verify the importance of the customers' emotion in the relational performance of family restaurant business. In order to achieve the object of the study, the effect of emotional factors on service satisfaction, revisit, word-of-mouth were analysed. The data were collected from 450 customers who had visited five family restaurants in Seoul more than once during the last three months from September 20 to October 5, 2002. Emotional variables in service experience process were grouped as three factors; in the middle of having food, in entering and leaving restaurant and in the waiting line. It is proved that customers had different emotions in each process of family restaurant service experience. Multiple regression analysis was employed to explore the influence of three emotional factors on relational performances such as satisfaction, revisit and word-of-mouth. It was found that customers were influenced by emotional factors in entering and leaving restaurant, secondly influenced in the waiting line and least influenced in the middle of having food. Finally, the findings indicated that customers' emotional factors in whole service experience process from entering to leaving the restaurant should be successfully cared by service staff. Future research is recommended to find out which specific emotional factors affected on relational performance of family restaurant.

Assessment of geological hazards in landslide risk using the analysis process method

  • Landslides are one of the natural disasters that cause a lot of financial and human losses every year It will be all over the world. China, especially. The Mainland China can be divided into 12 zones, including 4 high susceptibility zones, 7 medium susceptibility zones and 1 low susceptibility zone, according to landslide proneness. Climate and physiography are always at risk of landslides. The purpose of this research is to prepare a landslide hazard map using the Hierarchical Analysis Process method. In the GIS environment, it is in a part of China watershed. In order to prepare a landslide hazard map, first with Field studies, a distribution map of landslides in the area and then a map of factors affecting landslides were prepared. In the next stage, the factors are prioritized using expert opinion and hierarchical analysis process and nine factors including height, slope, slope direction, geological units, land use, distance from Waterway, distance from the road, distance from the fault and rainfall map were selected as effective factors. Then Landslide risk zoning in the region was done using the hierarchical analysis process model. The results showed that the three factors of geological units, distance from the road and slope are the most important have had an effect on the occurrence of landslides in the region, while the two factors of fault and rainfall have the least effect The landslide occurred in the region.

The Effect of Job Instability and Job Stress on Turnover Intention in the COVID-19 Situation: Focused on the Moderating Effect of Sports Facility Workers' Perceived Organizational Support (COVID-19 상황에서 직무불안정성, 직무스트레스가 이직의도에 미치는 영향: 체육시설 종사자의 조직지원인식 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • Purpose: This study is to investigate the effects of job instability and job stress on the turnover intention of sports facility workers in the COVID-19 situation, considering the moderating effects of perceived organizational support. Methods: This study surveyed service workers working at public sports facilities in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province and North Chungcheong Province, South Korea. The multi-regression and hierarchical regression analysis were employed to analyze the collected data. Results: The results indicate that all of the factors constituting job instability (organizational, job, and personal factors) had a significant influence on the factors constituting job stress (job characteristic, roll-related, and human relationship factors), except for only the relationship between organizational factor and rol-related factor. Job characteristic and roll-related factors constituting job stress significantly affected turnover intention of sports facility workers. Also, it was found that the perceived organizational support moderated the relationship between job characteristic factors of job stress and turnover intention. Conclusion: Although the COVID-19 created an environment with very high job instability, the negative impacts of job instability and job stress can be minimized through consideration and support for service workers of the organization, reducing turnover intention.
