The primary purpose of this study was to investigate how sixth grade elementary school students react to the types of letters use, what levels of understanding letters students are in and what difficulties are in understanding letters, and to raise issues about instructional methods of algebra. A descriptive study through pencil-and- paper tests was conducted. The test instruments consisted of 18 questions with 6 types of letters use. According to the results of testing, students' types of letter use and the levels of understanding letters were classified. The conclusions from the results of this study were as follows: First, the higher the types of letters use, the more sixth grade elementary school students had low scores on the types. Therefore, teaching methodologies of letters and expressions in the classroom need to encourage for students to improve their ability of using and understanding letter. Second, approximately 40% of students were categorized in level 3. Accordingly it is necessary to have a program of teaching and learning to improve their understanding levels of letters. Third, approximately 15% of students were categorized in level 0. In order to develop understanding of letters, it is important that students use letter evaluated and letter used as an object. Fourth, students had the difficulties in understanding letters. It is informative for teachers to understand these students' difficulties and thinking processes. Finally, we must treat the different uses of letters and introduce them successively according to the student's understanding levels of letters.
The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of the use of Chatting Method(with AI Chatting robot: Chatterbot) and Computer Interest Levels on Teaching & Learning. The major findings of the study are as follows. Firstly, the chatting activities using the chatterbot method and computer Interest Levels were not effective in the academic achievement. Secondly, the chatting activities using the chatterbot method and computer Interest Levels were effective in improving the learning motivation. Thirdly, According to the result of post-feedback analysis, the benefits of chatterbot method was 'the new', 'transcends time and space', 'drill and practice learning' and was some of the drawbacks 'response fixed', lack of emotional transactions. and the proposal 'PBL' was reached(1. strength: new experience, 2. weakness: be tired, 3. proposal: PBL approach). Fourthly, the relationship between the academic achievement, learning motivation, post-feedback was no correlation. Based on these results, the study suggests that the chatterbot method was need for multiple instructional design strategy.
Karmiloff-Smith was first to propose the 'Representational Redescription model'. It describes a process through which children elaborate their knowledge from the unconscious and implicit levels to the conscious and explicit levels. The model also assumes that children in perfectly explicit levels are able to express their own representation of knowledge verbally. This study was conducted to investigate Karmiloff-Smith's Representational Redescription(RR) model(1990, 1992, 1999) within the drawing domain. Additionally, how verbalization training influences children's development of representational redescription in drawing were also examined. First, 331 children (4- to 6-year-olds and an older comparison group of 7- to 9-year-olds) were asked to create six drawings of both familiar and novel topics. From these drawings, children were measured for procedural rigidity and developmental differences. Thereafter 80 5-year-olds children who were not able to manipulate their drawings with flexibility were selected. They were divided into an experimental group and two control groups. A group of verbalization training was given a session using 5 tasks. Compared to the control groups, children who practiced verbalization in the training group showed more advanced levels of representation than their previous levels in the pretest. The results were interpreted as meaning that verbalization is likely to facilitate children's reorganization of implicit knowledge within the drawing domain and to transfer this toward explicit forms. Further research needs to pay more attention to the educational applications of learning processes based on representational redescription.
The study explored teacher's perception towards collective teacher efficacy and barriers in the integrative education by teaching levels and gifted education experiences. A total of 241 teachers answered the collective teacher efficacy scale and survey of teachers' perceptions towards barriers in the integrative education, which responses were analyzed by teaching levels (elementary/secondary level) and gifted education experiences (yes/no) in using the ANOVAs and Pearson correlation. Results indicated that there was no differences in collective teaching efficacy by teachers levels and gifted education experiences. On the other hands, there were significant differences in teacher's perceptions towards barriers in the integrative education by teaching levels and gifted education experiences. For these results, this study analyzed the possibile reasons, which based on the specific characteristics of educational fields and suggested the supportive ways in promoting for the successful application and settlement of the integrative education.

Purpose : This study aimed to analyze the relationship between local residents' experience of public health education on smoking, drinking, and nutrition and their perceptions of health and happiness, thereby providing data for improving the levels of residents' perceptions of health and happiness through the expansion of public health education. Methods : This study used 2017 data on the health of local communities in Gyeongsangnam-do. SPSS (version 25.0) was employed for the statistical analysis. A t-test and an analysis of variance were conducted in order to examine the levels of local residents' perceptions of health and happiness according to their general characteristics and whether or not they had received public health education on smoking, drinking, and nutrition. Results : Those who resided in a city, were younger, earned money, had high educational background, and had high income level had much experience on smoking, drinking, and nutrition education. Those who lived in a county, were males, were younger, had a high level of education, earned money, and had high income level felt a high level of subjective happiness. Residents who had experienced smoking, drinking, and nutrition education had a high level of subjective perception of general health and oral health. The subjects' experience of public health education was positively correlated with their levels of perception of their health and happiness. Conclusion : Education on smoking, drinking, and nutrition for local residents does not merely provide them with knowledge but also it is conductive to improving their quality of life. Therefore, more opportunities for a larger number of people to receive public health education on diverse topics should be given to increase their levels of happiness.
The purpose of this study is to understand Korea students' characteristics as well as to give important information of improving our education using comparative analysis of framework, test booklets, test results between PISA 2009 and NAEA 2009. PISA 2009 was administered on May of 2009 and NAEA was administered on October of same year. The summary of the results of comparing two assessment is as follows First, cut score of NAEA Advance level is bigger than the cut score of level 5, which is considered as high achievement level. The cut score of Basic level of NAEA is also higher than the level 2 of PISA, which is considered as basic achievement level. This phenomenon can show that NAEA achievement level is set little bit higher than the achievement level of PISA in mathematics domain. Second, the percentage of female students on higher level was higher than that of male students. In suburban area, the percentage of high level was small and the percentage of low level was big. Third, students of Advanced level are distributed concentrating in PISA levels 4~6, Proficient achievement level concentrating in PISA levels 3~5, Basic achievement level concentrating in PISA levels 2~4, and below basic achievement levels concentrating in below level 1 and level 3 of PISA. Fourth, the correlation between NAEA 2009 and PISA 2009 achievement scores are significantly positive. However, the correlation of subscales were low. Fifth, analysis of non-equivalent group, 11 items located in 'change and relationship', 'uncertainty', 'connection cluster' domains found to be significantly different. The percent correct showed very big difference. The analysis results presents the implication of mathematics curriculum, teaching and learning methods as well as National Assessment of Educational Achievement.
Problems and current situation of public health globally and domestically were analyzed in this study and based on these findings, ways to improve from western medicine and Oriental medicine can be deduced as follows: 1. Current problems of public health in Korea and the world 1) Increase of diseases resulted from daily habits and infectious diseases, many are at the brink of being ill. Quality of life from extended life span and unbalanced health care must be solved. 2) Natural and societal factors including host factors, public health service, and other external and internal factors play an important role in deciding healthy and being ill. 3) Some of the limits and problems of modem medicine include insufficient academic knowledge and incomplete theory, as well as misled approach to the treatment. Human itself isn't perfect organism and other realistic problems hinder one's well-being. 4) Regardless of western medicine or Oriental medicine, patients were approached as someone with diseases and disorders, and wholistic approach was disregarded. Lack of clinical training, absence of clear educational philosophy and goal are some of the reasons why the education isn't under concrete system 2. Important factors for the medical education and proper direction for the education of Oriental medicine 1) Important factors for medical education - Education should not be limited on the human health and illness, but also cover qualities such as well-being, social welfare, service, and happiness. Every aspects of human life must be considered and attended for more productive outcome. - Basic understanding of humanity must be included in the educational curriculum - Foundation of human diseases and pain are associated with inner life and surrounding causes including family, society, nature, race, culture, religion, politics, and etc., thus the education must be approached to recognize aforementioned criteria. 2) Proper direction for the education of Oriental medicine - Values of Oriental medicine for medical principles and importance of lifehood must be educated. - Educational goal, limits, and levels must be established for the school of Oriental medicine - Respect for life must be the top priorities of educational direction which should lead to solution based education for the human health. Latest medical theory and technology should be accommodated as well as prevention, treatment, and balancing of basic courses and clinical training for optimal education.
One of the main objectives of National Assessment of Educational Achievement (NAEA), which is implemented by Korea Institute of Curriculum and Evaluation(KICE), is to manage the qualities of National Curriculum. Thus we considered NAEA as the research for educational program assessment and tried to find out how to make NAEA better for achieving that objective. For the purpose of this paper we analyzed the present conditions of NAEA into four perspectives. And then according to each perspective we explored schemes for improving NAEA. In conclusion, we proposed the following; Firstly, in relation to assessing students' understanding of the mathematics contents, the meanings of Achievement Levels have to become much more clear and concrete. in relation to assessing for comparing student' understanding according to mathermatics content areas, the number of items has to be increased for elevating validities of NAEA. Thirdly, in relation to gathering the information about properties which are shown by the students in particular Achievement, it is necessary to think about how to produce items for the purpose in the step of developing items in NAEA. Finally in relation to collecting the data which can be useful for relevance of mathematics contents, it is necessary to make a special group of items for identifying relevance of mathematics contents, and to apply performance assessments on part of the students, not whole students.

This study aimed to provide the basic data for the development of a simulation training program for new infectious diseases by analyzing the knowledge and educational needs of 119 paramedics regarding COVID-19 infection control. Data was obtained through a structured questionnaire survey of 186 paramedics from November 15th to 30th 2020. The study showed that 98 of the 119 paramedic subjects (52.7%) had not been educated regarding COVID-19. The knowledge level was 18.21±1.98 out of 25 points, with environmental control securing the lowest correct answers. The highest need for education was in the areas of prevention of transmission and spread, and employee safety control. The total average for educational needs was 3.81±.28 (4 point scale) with the highest educational need in the area of prevention of the spread and dispersion of the disease and employee safety management. There was a statistically significant difference in the knowledge of the general characteristics according to gender (t=-1.999, p=.047) and the educational demand was related to career (t=-1.999, p=.047) and, education levels (t=2.336, p=.021). Accordingly, it is necessary to plan a new infectious disease simulation education program that addresses the low-scoring areas and items with high educational needs which include the propagation path and spread prevention, environmental management, and employee safety management as per the findings of this study.

With the rapid development and introduction of digital technologies, both everyday human life and technological processes of any production are changing, which stimulates the transformation of the economy and education. Digital technologies are not only a tool, but also a living environment of modern human, which opens up new opportunities: learning at any convenient time, continuing education, the ability to form individual educational learning trajectories and more. However, the digital environment requires teachers to take a modern approach to the organization of the educational process, the formation of new skills and abilities to work in the digital educational environment. As a result of the study, it was found that the system of vocational education should provide training for masters of industrial training who have a high level of digital competence. The purpose of the article is to single out, theoretically substantiate and determine the level of formation of structural components of digital competence of future masters of agricultural training. The structure of digital competence of agricultural master was analyzed on the basis of domestic and foreign scientists researches. Systematized research results indicate that digital competence consists of four components: motivational-value (combination of internal and external motives for the use of digital technologies in future professional activities), cognitive (a set of theoretical knowledge, skills and abilities of future master of industrial training to effectively build educational process with the use of digital technologies), activity-professional (expansion and deepening of knowledge, skills, necessary skills for effective implementation of digital technologies in the educational process) and evaluative-reflexive (ability to analyze and self-analyze own activities and its results taking into account professional characteristics, self-realization in professional activities through the use of digital technologies). These components are comparable with the indicators that describe the knowledge, skills and abilities needed by the future master of industrial training to organize the modern educational process. A questionnaire was conducted to determine the levels of this competence formation, which allows us to conclude that it is necessary to increase the level of formation of all components of digital competence of future masters of industrial training in agriculture. The results of the study can be used as a basis for the development of disciplines that form the special competencies of masters of industrial training in agriculture and programs of advanced training of teachers.
