This paper has focused on the development of an educational sensor network (ESN) based on wireless sensor networks(WSN) and pervasive monitoring systems for students' activity during scientific experiments. A number of WSN systems have been proposed with integrated wireless transmission, mounted sensor boards and local processing. However, there is no trail to employ WSN on the educational field. In this paper, to facilitate research and development using wireless sensor network and multi-sensor data fusion, the educational sensor network (ESN) hardware development platform is presented. The ESN project is conducted over one semester time period (Spring Semesters). It involves approximately twenty middle school students who enrolled a gifted program in Kongju National University. Though under prepared, these students are in general highly motivated to learning specially when presented with the ESN project. An ESN project such as this is expected to provide an excellent means for teaching and learning scientific and mathematical principles.

This paper explores desirable features of annual salary system a corporation can adopt to design it for R&D personnel or staff. This research, in particular, purports to examine how effective the money compensation is used to motivate R&D personnel and some differences with respect to their research areas, educational backgroudns and professional positions. In addition, the paper analyzes the motivational effectiveness of non-money compensation by comparing the preference level of the money and non-money rewards such as recognition, autonomy and responsibilities, etc. The response of R&D personnel as analyzed in this paper would provide a helpful reference for designing an annual salary system in R&D group.

The article highlights the European experience of innovative educational technologies of training management specialists. Based on existing strategies, relevant in the European educational space, the introduction of regulatory elements to maintain a balance between the traditional and innovative format of the educational process, which is typical for the Ukrainian education system is proposed. The article aims to single out educational and technological innovations into a separate cluster of managerial training at different levels in the context of the principles of the modern synergetic sociocultural paradigm. The main objectives of the work are to develop settings to ensure the effective functioning of innovative educational technologies. Among the synergetic principles of educational technologies, providing the formation of necessary competencies of future managers, are: self-organization, interdisciplinarity, nonlinearity, individuality, and technologization. The methods used in the scientific study can be attributed to the group of scientific synergetic methodology. So, the training of specialists in management, implemented in the European practice assumes the use of new educational strategies. These technologies provide both the necessary skills of different levels (hard-soft-digital skills) and the observance of value components (solidarity, ethics, inclusiveness, openness).

Innovation is considered as an implemented innovation in education - in the content, methods, techniques and forms of educational activity and personality education (methods, technologies), in the content and forms of organizing the management of the educational system, as well as in the organizational structure of educational institutions, in the means of training and education and in approaches to social services in education, distance and multimedia learning, which significantly increases the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the educational process. The classification of currently known pedagogical technologies that are most often used in practice is shown. The basis of the innovative activity of a modern teacher is the formation of an innovative program-methodical complex in the discipline. Along with programmatic and content provision of disciplines, the use of informational tools and their didactic properties comes first. It combines technical capabilities - computer and video technology with live communication between the lecturer and the audience. In pedagogical innovation, the principles reflecting specific laws and regularities of the implementation of innovative processes are singled out. All principles are elements of a complex system of organization and management of innovative activities in the field of education and training. They closely interact with each other, which enhances the effect of each of them due to the synergistic effect. To improve innovative activities in the training of students, today computer technologies are widely used in pedagogy as a science, as well as directly in the practice of the pedagogical process. They have gained the most popularity in such activities as distance learning, online learning, assistance in the education management system, development of programs and virtual textbooks in various subjects, searching for information on the network for the educational process, computer testing of students' knowledge, creation of electronic libraries, formation of a unified scientific electronic environment, publication of virtual magazines and newspapers on pedagogical topics, teleconferences, expansion of international cooperation in the field of Internet education. The article considers computer technologies as the main building material for the entire society. In the modern world, there is a need to prepare a person for life in a multimedia environment. This process should be started as early as possible, because the child's contact with the media is present almost from the moment of his birth.

국내 대학과 외국대학의 공과대학들이 설정하고 있는 교육목표들의 현황과 특징을 살펴보았다. 대부분의 국내 공과대학들이 능력을 갖춘 인력 배출, 엔지니어로서의 기본 자질 교육, 높은 수준의 교육환경 실현을 목표로 설정하고 있다. 많은 외국 공과대학들은 "리더십"과 "진취성"에 많은 비중을 두고 있고, "창의성"과 "전문성"을 그리고 "봉사"를 강조하고 있는 추세이다. 외국과 국내 공과대학 교육목표는 특징이나 강조점에서 유사한 점이 많았다. 이들 교육목표에 대한 자료들은 장차 공과대학들이 지향하는 방향을 검토하는데 기초 자료가 될 수 있을 것이다.

Innovations significantly affect the efficiency of the socioeconomic systems of the regions, acting as a system-forming element of their development. Modern models of economic development also consider innovation activity, intellectual potential, knowledge as the basic factors for stimulating the economic growth of the region. The purpose of the study is to develop methodological foundations for evaluating the effectiveness of a regional innovation system based on a multidimensional analysis of its effects. To further study the effectiveness of RIS, we have used one of the methods of multidimensional statistical analysis - canonical analysis. The next approach allows adding another important requirement to the methodological provision of evaluation of the level of innovation development of industries and regions, namely - the time factor, the formalization of which is realized in autoregressive dynamic economic and mathematical models and can be used in our research. Multidimensional Statistical Analysis for RIS effectiveness estimation was used to model RIS by typological regression. Based on it, multiple regression models were built in groups of regions with low and relatively high innovation potential. To solve the methodological problem of RIS research, we can also use the approach to the system as a "box" with inputs and outputs.

본 논문에서는 지역균형발전의 일환으로 실시된 지방대학 혁신역량 강화사업(New University for Regional Innovation, NURI) 중 부산권 기계부품산업 혁신인력 양성사업단(Busan Educational Alliance of Mechanical Engineering, BEAM)에서 시행중인 지역대학간 공동강의 시스템인 첨단기계부품 특화교육트랙을 통한 교육효과와 교과과정 개선의 질적 향상방안을 제시하였다. 트랙은 사업단 소속 4개 대학의 기계공학부(과)가 공동주관하며, 각 대학의 특화된 교육과정(첨단기계, 환경기계, 해양기계, 기반기계)을 중심으로 상호학점 인정을 통한 교과과정으로 편성되었다. 2005년 동계학기부터 현재까지 3차례의 계절학기를 통하여 실시되었으며, 2년간 총 486명의 학생이 각 트랙과목을 수강하였다. 그 결과 새로운 시대적 요구사항과 학습의 효율성을 동시에 수용하는 성과중심 및 수요자중심의 교육내용으로 국내 최초의 전공별 지역공동강의 제도를 정착시켰으며, 트랙 실시 이전인 2005년 대비 8.5%의 졸업생 취업률 향상과 기업체 임직원을 대상으로 실시된 설문조사에서 전년대비 9.4%의 수요자 만족도 향상의 성과를 거두었다. 또한, 지역대학간의 교류를 통한 인적 네트워크의 확대라는 긍정적인 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

혁신학교가 시행된 지 10년이 지난 만큼 학교 문화의 혁신을 일으키는 주체가 단위학교라는 점에서 혁신학교 정책 운영의 질적 수준에 관한 실질적이고 심도 있는 연구가 필요한 시점이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 각 시도교육청에서 운영되고 있는 기본 가치와 운영 평가 계획을 비교 및 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 혁신학교를 운영하고 있는 각 시도교육청은 각기 강원, 부산, 충북은 '모두를 위한 교육', 경기, 경남은 '미래학교 지향', 광주, 서울, 울산, 전북, 제주는 '교육공동체 실현', 세종, 인천, 충남은 '공교육 정상화'로 그 특색에 따른 비전을 제시하고 있으며, 대체적으로 공공성, 민주성, 창의성 등을 강조한다. 혁신학교의 운영 평가는 자체평가, 중간평가, 종합평가로 이루어지며, 이 중 중간평가와 종합평가는 그 절차 및 평가 지표가 유사하다. 중간평가와 종합평가는 특히 현장평가를 통해 학교별로 운영을 점검하고, 평가 결과 환류 및 우수사례를 통해 학교 혁신과 관련된 교육정책 자료를 제공 한다는 점에서 큰 의의가 있다.

본 연구는 덕성여자대학교의 교육혁신을 조망하는 대안의 관점에서 덕성이룸(IiRUM) 인성교육과정의 개발 및 운영에 관한 로드맵을 설계하는 데 주요 목적을 두어 실시되었다. 연구 방법은 대학 인성교육과정 기반을 구축하는 이론적 고찰이나 사례 방안을 다룬 문헌을 분석하는 절차와 함께 전문가 회의가 병행되는 것으로 구성되었다. 연구내용은 덕성여자대학교의 현행 교육과정 전반에 걸쳐 인성교육의 기반이 구축되어 있지 못한 교육혁신의 대안 관점에서 새롭게 구축되어야 할 인성교육과정이 현행 교육과정 구도에 어떻게 융합적으로 설계될 수 있는가의 로드맵이 제시되었다. 이에 따라, 덕성이룸(IiRUM)인성교육과정이 교과과정 및 비교과 교육프로그램에 걸쳐 개발 및 운영될 수 있는 방안이 다양하게 제시되었다. 연구 결과, 덕성여자대학교에서 덕성이룸(IiRUM)인성교육과정은 기존과 현행 교육과정 구도와 상호 균형적이고 융합적으로 개발이 될 뿐 아니라 효과적인 운영 역시 가능함이 분석되었다.

As recruitment environment of hospitals has changed, employment opportunity for graduates of the hospital management majors has been reduced in larger hospitals. So, it is necessary to reestablish the status of an academic discipline to foster the professional managers of healthcare organizations. For this, curriculum contents and teaching methods might be improved. Although we need individual efforts of the society members for educational improvement, there is a need for organization and leadership of the society.
