Essay Teaching Method of the Moral Education in the Elementary School Based on Philosophy and Discussion : focusing on the concept analysis method (철학과 토론에 기초한 초등학교 도덕교육에서의 논술수업방안 - 개념분석모형을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a direction, contents, and method of essay education in the elementary school. The value of essay is getting weaker and weaker as a evaluation item of a university entrance examination. But there is a lot of educational value of essay itself yet. The essay goes beyond merely writing, as long as it displays one's sense of values and viewpoint of world. It is the highest intelligent ability that not is formated easily in short time. Starting a essay education at elementary school age is better than middle or high school age. when the students in a elementary school, they have a little burden of studies. The elementary students can be educated to develop the power of philosophical thought focusing on the reading and discussing. The moral subject have to assign the essay education, because thinking faculty is very important ability in essay. This study consisted of three directions ; firstly, what is direction of elementary moral education for essay education? secondly, what is contents and method as a basis of essay education in the moral subject? thirdly, how does teach the concept analysis as a concrete essay education method? I suggested answers in the three aspects of moral education in the elementary school. The essay education is important as the result of moral education, philosophy education as contents, and discuss training as a method. And I applicated concretely contents of this study as a concept analysis method in class.

  • As the world enters the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is represented by advanced technology, it not only changes the industrial field but also the education field. In recent years, Smart Learning has enriched learning by using diverse forms and technologies that utilize vast amount of information about learners' individual knowledge through the emergence of realistic and intelligent contents that combine high technology such as artificial intelligence, big data and virtual reality and there is an increasing interest in intelligent adaptive learning, which can customize individual education. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore intelligent adaptive learning method through recent smart education environment, beyond traditional writing-based communication education which is highly dependent on the competency of instructors. In this study, we analyzed the various learner information collected in the communication course and constructed a concrete teaching and learning method of intelligent adaptive learning based on the instructor's intended smart contents. The result of this study is expected to be the basis of highly personalized teaching and learning method of digital method in communication education which is emphasized in the fourth industrial revolution era.

Education Method for Basic Programming Subject through Physical Computing (피지컬 컴퓨팅을 통한 기초 프로그래밍 교육 방법)

  • As the connection between objects and computers becomes easier, learning using physical computing is presented as a good alternative to solve the problems raised in programming education for beginners. In this paper, we propose a training method that can be applied to basic programming courses for beginners. To do this, we will proceed with a basic programming lecture based on the physical computing method. Currently, physical computing courses focus on various input sensor connection methods and output device control. However, the content of programming education using physical computing materials is lacking. In this paper, we proposed and tested a teaching method that is used in programming education by using low cost materials used in physical computing.

  • The engineering design is very important to make the building of engineering mind in many industry companies because most of companies require commonly the talents for engineering design in order to have originality, reliability and responsibility for university students. But, it can be thought that most of students studying engineering fields in Korea can not have their talents for engineering design in major fields of university sufficiently due to traditional engineering education method. In this paper, a case study of the teaching method for the 'esearch problem' that means capstone design in engineering education is suggested to improve the teaching skills for various engineering based fields. In this paper, a case study of teaching method in research problem for engineering design is shown in order to improve the teaching method for the design in engineering fields.

The early childhood teacher's recognition and demand on children's language education - focused on purpose, contents, method, evaluation and the required facts of children's language education (유아 언어교육에 대한 교사의 인식 및 요구 - 유아 언어교육의 목적, 내용, 방법, 평가 및 요구를 중심으로)

  • This study had been done to investigate that early childhood teacher's recognition and demand on children's language education and 20 early childhood teachers were interviewed individually who work at state-owned/ public-owned/ private-owned kindergardens residing G, I, and K cities in Jeollabuk-do. First, the purpose of language education was recognized on the formations of essence, concept, expertise, technique and attitude toward language. Second, the contents of language education must be selected by children's experience that they encounter in ordinary life based on oral language and written language. Besides, early childhood teachers strongly felt the necessity of new contents of language education, although they thought of insufficiency of their knowledge on the issue. Third, the method of language education was mainly accomplished by teaching material and objects. Besides, they were aware of looking for new organized teaching methods and also concerned of the importances of teacher's attitude and group formation method. Fourth, the evaluation of language education must be acquired by desirable evaluation method that was based on the recognition of children's unrealistic language capabilities, even though they had recognized the difficulty to do because of knowledge insufficiency. They also showed the tendency of negligence on the evaluation of language education. Fifth, the required facts for early childhood teachers on language education were development and supply of teaching materials, demand on teacher's education and appropriate evaluation method, and cognitive changes on language education by public toward the written language.

Gifted Education in China in a non-coginitive factors centered (중국의 영재교육 -비지적 요인을 중심으로 한 북경팔중의 사례-)

  • The purpose of the present study is (1) to examine chinese gifted education type, growth factors of the gifted children, and non-coginitive factors, (2) to analysis gifted education strategy of Peking eighth middle school, (3) to investigate gifted education method of Peking eighth middle school, (4) to study practical effects of gifted education method of Peking eighth middle school, (5) to study of the application for the gifted education in Korea. The results of the present study were as follows: (1) The types of the gifted education in China are advanced placement, skipping the coursework, extracurriculawork, individual guidence, and gifted education for the disable gifted. (2) Gifted education strategy of Peking eighth middle school was analysed. It is forming a Trinity of science research, education, and teacher. A teacher is generally observing and students are mainly one's own man of education. (3) Gifted education method of Peking eighth middle school was investigated. There are eight non-cognitive education principles: a personal character, emotion, supporting of family education, physical education, and encouragement. (4) Practical effects of gifted education method of Peking eighth middle school was studied. The school had a good reputation evaluation. (5) The application for the gifted education in Korea was studied. The eight non-cognitive education principles is able to apply for the gifted education in Korea.

A Text Mining Analysis for Research Trend about the Mathematics Education (텍스트 마이닝 분석을 통한 수학교육 연구 동향 분석)

  • In this paper we used text mining method to analyze journals of mathematics education posterior to the year of 2016. To figure out trends of mathematics education research. we analyzed the key words largely mentioned in the recent mathematics education journals by Term Frequency and Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency method. We also looked at how these keywords match up with the key words that appear of education to prepare for future society. This result can infer the characteristics of mathematics education research in the aspect upcoming research topics.

A Study of change of oral health state score from gingivitis patients using toothbrushing method (칫솔질 방법에 따른 치은염 환자의 구강건강상태지수 변화)

  • Objectives : This study purpose were the effect of toothbrushing for decreasing halitosis for gingivitis and periodontitis patients. Methods : The university staffs were examined oral condition and analysised a change of oral health state score after using 3 types of toothbrushing. Results : The results were as followed : OHI-S shows that the decreasing effect takes place in the M. bass method and Tooth pick method, but shows no differences by each method. GI for Self test method shows decreasing effect after 2nd week during education while the M. bass method and Tooth pick method shows after 1st week during education. The M. bass method shows much greater effect of halitosis amongst 3 kind of method. PI for Self test method and Tooth pick method show decreasing effect. Decreasing effect during education shows until 2nd week by 3 kind of method, but it shows no differences after 3rd week. VSC(ppb) for M. bass method and Tooth pick method show decreasing effect. Decreasing effect during education shows after 3rd week by 3 kind of method, but it shows no differences until 2nd week. PHP for Self test method, M. bass method and Tooth pick method show decreasing effect after 2nd week during education. But, there is no differences of decreasing effect by among 3 kind of method. Conclusions : This study reports that it is necessary to carry outt further studies on the improvement of oral health management of adults based on the development of oral health education.

A Study on The Recitation Test in Education of Korean Medical Classics (원전학(原典學) 교육에서의 배강(背講)시험에 대한 연구)

  • Objectives : The paper uses recitation test, one of the study and evaluation methods in the Korean Medical Classics, to provide a basis upon which thoughts can be given to the education of Korean Medicine, and furthermore the essence of education itself. Methods : 1. The paper reviewed how recitation tests were performed in Goryeo and Joseon. 2. The paper introduces the methods of applying recitation test to the education of the Korean Medical Classics and their results. The paper furthermore discussed possible improvements. 3. The paper pondered on the traditional aspects of the significances (principles) of recitation tests and their cognitive neuroscience aspects. Results : 1. The imperial examinations for medical officers during Goryeo and Joseon both performed recitation tests, and the subject of these tests were given more weight than other subjects. 2. Recitation test is a form of education that revolves around the learners. It requires a detailed plan of execution for it to be effective. 3. The significances (principles) of recitation test are reviewed from the aspect of cognitive neuroscience, and the deductions from the traditional aspects are made into "conceptual abstract, come to things & run out knowledge, and flash back." Conclusions : Recitation test was the humanity's way of conserving and conveying knowledge & wisdom from the times before the invention of letters. This method is the oldest education method of acquiring concepts that are generalized and made abstract through indirect experiences. This method is still effective today. In the education of the Korean Medical Classics, this method was used to supplement the public education method and create an education method that revolves around individual learner in a way that utilizes the strengths of education in apprenticeship.

Analysis of Research Trend in Journal of 'Engineering Education Research' ('공학교육연구' 논문지의 공학교육 연구 동향 분석)

  • The Korean Society for Engineering Education (KSEE) has been conducted scholarship meeting, workshop, and publicated academic journal, Engineering Education Research, since 1998. Kim Jin-soo analysed 'Engineering Education Research' on methods of research and contents. However, there are an in crease in quantity since then, it needed to analyse and arrange. This study analysed all 417 papers which were published from 1998 to 2012. The conclusion is as in the following. First, the number of collections published has been increasing up to 6 per year. 75.5% of the lead author's institution are universities, and Engineering Education Innovation Center researcher has been increasing steadily up to 8.9%. Research about Engineering Education Methods and Programs are being mostly studied. Apart from classified field in this, a study on the psychological characteristics of technology students are being steadily researched. In papers, the literature/development research method is used the most frequently (54.6%), the research study (39.9%) is the next and the experimental research method (5.5%) is followed by. Since 2006, study using the experimental research method is the growing lately. Second, characteristic of study between institution of lead author, a field of study, a number of study and methods of research by cross analyzing. The result is as in the following. In case of university and Engineering Education Innovation Center researcher studied much more about Engineering Education Methods and programs, research laboratory researcher tend to study about Engineering Educational Philosophy and Policy. Also, foreign researcher tend to introduce Engineering Education Example and Lecture. In case of university and foreign researcher used the literature/development research method frequently. Engineering Education Innovation Center and research laboratory and school researcher used the research study much more. There is no difference between a field of study and research methods. Finally, research strategies and new direction for improving the engineering education journal's papers at the section of discussion and suggestion were suggested.
