강도다리(Platichthys stellatus) 흑화 발현에 미치는 수조색깔 및 자갈기질의 영향 (Influence of Background Color and Substratum on the Blind-side Hypermelanosis in Starry Flounder Plathchthys stellatus)

  • To study the influence of background color and substratum on hypermelanosis of starry flounder, we compared the daily food intake (DFI), the feed efficiency (FE), the survival, the growth, the ratio of pigmented area on the blind side and the ratio of hypermelanic fish duplicately reared for 180 days in dark-green FRP aquarium (control), white FRP aquarium together with dark-green substratum. The ratio of pigmented area on the blind side was significantly higher at the dark-green group than at the white group. DFI, FE and growth were higher in the dark-green substratum. Pigmented area rate and ratio of hypermelanic fish were significantly higher at the dark green group than at the high dark-green substratum. The results suggest that bright tank color and substratum bottom could inhibit the hypermelanosis.

An Investigation into the QuaIifications Necessary for Science Hands-on Exhibit Guides from the Producer's Point of View

  • Science hands-on exhibits are increasingly popular, especially during vacation time. These exhibits hire guides to help visitors to understand the contents. In this study, the qualifications of the guides are investigated through interviews with the producers who run the exhibit. There were two main questions the researcher was interested in during the interviews. One was the importance of the science background of the guides. The second was the characteristics of guides that the producers consider important for successful exhibits. The results show that a science background is not an important qualification in the view of most of the producers. Many factors other than science, such as accountability or social skills, were considered to be of greater importance than a background in science.

핀란드의 코딩기반 소프트웨어 교육에 대한 고찰 (Review of Software Education based on the Coding in Finland)

  • 핀란드는 우수한 교육정책과 선진화된 교육 시스템으로 세계에서 가장 선진화된 교육을 실시하는 나라로 일컬어진다. 핀란드와 우리나라의 역사적 배경 및 지리적 환경 등은 여러 가지 면에서 흡사하며, 자원이 부족하여 국가의 성장 동력을 우리나라와 마찬가지로 인재양성에 두었다. 그러나 최근 2012년 실시한 PISA의 결과에서 급격한 하락세를 보이고 있으며, 컴퓨터관련 교육은 미흡하다는 지적과 함께 인접한 국가들의 소프트웨어 교육에 대한 국가수준 추진 전략 등으로 소프트웨어 교육에 대한 논의가 높아졌다. 따라서 2016년은 소프트웨어교육을 통한 국가 성장의 기회로 삼을 수 있는 중요한 해가 되었고, 필수교육과정으로써 초등학교에서부터 본격적으로 실시하도록 준비하였다. 본 연구에서는 핀란드의 소프트웨어 교육의 배경과 교육과정에 대해 살펴보고 우리나라의 소프트웨어 교육과정 수립에 시사하는 바를 도출하여 제시하고자 한다.

대학도서관 사서직원의 동기유발에 관한 조사연구 (A study on the motivation level of the university librarians in korea)

  • This study is to identified the motivation level which university librarians in Korea perceived as motivating them, and to examine relationship between those motivation level and the demographic characteristics of university librarians. The results of this study are summarized as follows : (1) The factors that the motivation level is higher than the average (3.000) are shown to be human relation (3.399), working itself (3.198), and supervision (3.050), but the other factors : recognition (2.995), communication (2.985), salary (2.892), job evaluation (2.622), job environment (2.619), and promotion (2.126) are shown to be lower than the average. (2) In the results of X$^{2}$ test about the differences of the motivation level among 6 demographic attributes of the population, the attributes shown a significant difference are as follows : Salary : rank ; working terms ; sex ; national university or private one ; qualification. Promotion : rank ; sex ; national university or private one ; qualification. Recognition : rank. Human relation : no significant differences among 6 attributes. Work itself : rank ; sex. Communication : rank ; working terms ; sex ; education background ; qualification. Job evaluation : sex ; education background ; qualification. Job environment : sex ; national university or private one. Supervision : rank ; working terms ; sex ; education background ; qualification.

영상정보의 저장 공간 관리를 위한 동적/정적 객체 분리 및 시각암호화 메커니즘 (Dynamic / Static Object Segmentation and Visual Encryption Mechanism for Storage Space Management of Image Information)

  • Video surveillance data, which is used for preemptive or post-emptive action against any event or accident, is required for monitoring the location, but is reducing the capacity of the image data by removing intervals for cost reduction and system persistence. Such a video surveillance system is fixed in a certain position and monitors the area only within a limited angle, or monitors only the fixed area without changing the angle. At this time, the video surveillance system that is monitored only within a limited angle shows that the variation object such as the floating population shows different status in the image, and the background of the image maintains a generally constant appearance. The static objects in the image do not need to be stored in all the images, unlike the dynamic objects that must be continuously shot, and occupy a storage space other than the necessary ones. In this paper, we propose a mechanism to analyze the image, store only the small size image for the fixed background, and store it as image data only for variable objects.

초등 예비 교사와 현직 교사의 과학 교수 효능감에 관련된 몇 가지 배경 변인 연구 (A Study on Some Background Variables Related to the Science Teaching Efficacy Beliefs of Pre-service and In-service Elementary School Teachers)

  • In this study, we investigated the variables related to the science teaching efficacy beliefs of pre-service and in-service elementary school teachers. The participants were 176 freshmen and 260 seniors from an university of education and 234 teachers from 25 elementary schools located in Jeonju. Variables concerning pre-service teachers include their sex, career/study tracks (science or non-science), and the number of science courses taken either at high school or at university. Variables concerning in-service teachers include their sex, academic degree, the frequency and type of participation in science in-service training, and their teaching career experience. The Science Teaching Efficacy Beliefs Instrument was used to measure teachers' self-efficacy beliefs. The results indicated that the personal science teaching efficacy belief scores of seniors were significantly lower than those of freshmen and in-service teachers, whereas the science teaching outcome expectancy scores of seniors were significantly higher than those of freshmen. Among variables investigated, sex, career/study track, the number of science courses taken at high school, and the frequency and type of participation in science in-service training were found to significantly influence teachers' science teaching efficacy beliefs.

수업 실천 사례를 통한 노벨 엔지니어링의 이론적 고찰 (A Theoretical Review on Novel Engineering through the Case Studies)

  • 본 논문에서는 현재까지 발표된 노벨 엔지니어링 수업 실천 사례들이 가지는 이론적 배경과 교육 방법적 기반을 문헌 연구를 통해서 고찰해보고자 한다. 이를 위해서 2016년부터 2023년까지 출간된 노벨 엔지니어링 관련 학술 발표 논문과 학위 논문 30여편을 선정하여 조사하였다. 조사 결과, 이론적 배경으로는 시모어 패퍼트의 구성주의와 비고츠키의 사회문화적 구성주의, 교육 방법적 기반으로는 창의적 문제 해결 학습, 문제 중심 학습, 교과 간 융합 수업, 액션 러닝, 독서 교육 및 글쓰기 교육과의 연계, 통합 교육과정 운영 가능성으로 정리할 수 있었다. 이 연구가 노벨 엔지니어링 융합 수업 모형으로서 이론적 가치를 다지고 미래 교육을 준비하는 교사들에게 하나의 대안이 될 수 있기를 기대한다.

다중 구간 샘플링에 기반한 동적 배경 영상에 강건한 배경 제거 알고리즘 (A Robust Background Subtraction Algorithm for Dynamic Scenes based on Multiple Interval Pixel Sampling)

  • Most of the background subtraction algorithms show good performance in static scenes. In the case of dynamic scenes, they frequently cause false alarm to "temporal clutter", a repetitive motion within a certain area. In this paper, we propose a robust technique for the multiple interval pixel sampling (MIS) algorithm to handle highly dynamic scenes. An adaptive threshold scheme is used to suppress false alarms in low-confidence regions. We also utilize multiple background models in the foreground segmentation process to handle repetitive background movements. Experimental results revealed that our approach works well in handling various temporal clutters.

비판교육학을 통한 교육 국제자원활동의 이해 (Understanding International Volunteering in Education through Critical Pedagogy)

  • 교육 국제자원활동은 교육을 통해 지역 재원을 끌어낼 수 있는 자원활동 중의 하나이다. 이는 최근 들어 국제자원활동에 중요한 영역으로 자리를 잡고 있다. 현재 한국에서도 교육 국제자원활동 참여 인구와 지원은 급증하고 있는데, 참가자들은 그것이 가진 근본적인 의미인 지역 재원을 끌어내기 위한 노력보다는 자신의 스펙 쌓기 위한 과정, 자기 성장을 위한 봉사학습, 그리고 시혜적인 차원의 지원에 초점을 두고 있다. 이는 국제자원활동이 추구하는 방향이 부재한 데서 오는 오해라고 본 논의는 주장하고 있다. 이에 교육 국제자원활동 방향에 지평이 될 수 있는 이론적 배경의 필요성과 함께, 본 논의는 비판교육학을 제시하고 있다. 비판교육학은 허위의식을 해체함으로써 의식과 행동에서 자율성과 자주성을 강조하고 있다. 따라서 비판교육학은 교육 국제자원활동에서 의미하는 자원활동이 가진 지역 재원 활용의 극대화를 추구하는 활동을 끌어내는 데 필요하고 적합한 이론적 배경이 될 수 있음을 본 논의는 강조하고 있다.

과학 수업에서 통합적 적용 경험에 따른 초등학교 교사들의 통합 과학 교육에 대한 인식 및 교과교육학 지식(PCK)의 차이 분석 (An Analysis of the Differences in Perceptions and Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) of Elementary Teachers depend on Application Experience of Integrated Science Education in the Elementary Science Class)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate significant differences between the application group and nonapplication group of integrated science education in the science class about elementary teachers' perceptions and PCK. The results are as follows. First, no significant differences were found about science teachers' fundamental background variables between the two groups. This results showed that the application of integrated science education didn't have relation with the fundamental background variables. It was found that the application group of integrated science education has a lower frequency than the application group, however, it has been analysed that the application group has been applied at the introduction stage for students' motivation, focused on biology as twice every month. Second, to apply a successful integrated education in the elementary science class, it has analysed that not only teachers should need to understand about application method and concept of integrated science education but also science textbook and teaching-learning material should be developed and diffused in the well-integrated science. Third, it was found that professionality of elementary teachers to teach the scientific content knowledge is not comparatively high and non-application group of integrated science education has a lower PCK than the application group. Therefore, it should be provided that not only training programmes to learn interdisciplinary knowledge related to science, can lead to more understanding about instructional design, teaching strategies and concept for integrated science education should be developed but also chances to participate in various training programmes should be provided to enhance elementary teachers' professionality for integrated science education.
