The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental information of the practice of coming-of-age ceremonies as a family event. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, research questionnaires were developed, and 321 mothers residing in Seoul, South Korea were selected as the research subjects. The study was conducted from April 15th, 2010 to June 25th, 2010. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS17 computer programs. The conclusions are as follows. 1. In the future, coming-of-age ceremonies will be necessary in family event. 2. Education for mothers (specifically for mothers under the age of 30) opposed to coming-of-age ceremonies is necessary. 3. The contents for the education of coming-of-age ceremonies must include ceremony processes, alcohol consumption etiquette, and sex education. 4. Coming-of-age ceremonies, as family events, will be desirable to have on the 19th birthday. 5. Education of coming-of age ceremonies must be done in schools or social educational institutions. The Healthy Family Support Center will especially be able to play a central role. 6. Education of coming-of-age ceremonies is necessary even from the popular media.
In this study, elementary school students' responses toward a discrepant event about a float-or-sink problem were investigated through semi-structured interviews. Initial participants were 61 fifth-grade students from two elementary schools. After excluding the students who did not possess the target misconception from the results of a preconception test and who were not willing to participate in an interview, 31 students (14 males and 17 females) were finally interviewed by two teacher-interviewers. During the interviews, students were first provided with a hands-on experiment which was the same as the situation in the preconception test, and then they were asked about believability of the discrepant event, inconsistency between the discrepant event and their existing conceptions, and belief change after experiencing the discrepant event. Interviews were audio- and video-taped, and then were transcribed by two interviewers. After analyzing the interview transcriptions, we found four types of students' responses; rejection, uncertainty, peripheral belief change, and belief change. We also found that belief change response type should be classified into three distinctive subtypes; belief decrease, ad-hoc belief change, and analytical-abductive belief change.

In this paper, we propose students' perception of software education according to the type of school. So, in this study, 47373 students were surveyed about the perception of SW education, and the results of the questionnaire were analyzed according to school type, gender, school level, experience of software education and event, and duration of software education experience. As a result, students attending software education lead schools showed the highest perception about software education, followed by software education research school and general school. In gender, males were more positive than females. The level of satisfaction and effectiveness of software education in school level was higher as the school level was lower, but the perception and career area of software education was higher as the school level was higher. In addition, software training and event experience have a positive effect on students' perception of software education, and the perception of software education changes positively as the duration of software education increases.
According to the modernization of mathematics education, new abstract concepts such as the concept of sets are introduced in many fields of it. The purpose of this thesis is to adopt the concept of sets to 'probability' which is included in the curriculum of high school matematics education. The considerations of the preceding chapter III, and their obvious generalizations to more complicated experiments, justify the conclusion that probability theory consists of the study of sets. An event is a set, its opposite event is the complementary set; mutually exclusive events are disjoint sets, and an event consisting of the simultaneous occurrence of two other events is a sets obtained by intersecting two other sets it is clear how this glossary, translating physical terminology into set theoretic terminology, may be continued. Furthermore, the important theorems of probability; Additional theorem, multiplication theorem, their applications and so on, are proved by the technical operations of sets. Thinking of the mathematics education introduced by the concept of sets is very important in future.

This narrative review introduces global trends in pharmacovigilance (PV) education for healthcare professionals and the status of PV education in Korea. Proactive participation of healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and nurses in reporting suspected adverse events is the main driving force for effective operation of the spontaneous adverse event reporting system database, which in turn facilitates early safety signal detection of otherwise unknown suspected adverse events. The World Health Organization recognizes PV education curriculum as a key aspect in promoting awareness of PV and adverse event reporting among healthcare professionals, and multiple studies have demonstrated that PV educational interventions for healthcare professionals have increased overall adverse event reporting. Considering the global trends in PV education, the curriculum in Korean universities still has room for improvement in promoting PV obligation among future healthcare professionals. Further research is needed to develop PV education curriculum. We suggest a three-step project for innovating PV education in Korea to meet the global PV educational standards: a survey to gauge current PV competencies among healthcare professionals, reform of current PV academic curriculum, and evaluation and fine-tuning of the reformed curriculum.
The heavy snowfall event over the eastern part of Seoul, Korea on Mar. 04, 2008 has been abruptly occurred after the frontal system with the heavy snowfall event had been past over the Korean peninsula on Mar. 03, 2008. Therefore, this heavy snowfall event couldn't be predicted well by any means of theoretical knowledges and models. After the cold front passed by, the cold air mass was flown over the peninsula immediately and became clear expectedly except the eastern part and southwestern part of peninsula with some large amount of snowfall. Even though the wide and intense massive cold anticyclone was expanded and enhanced by the lowest tropospheric baroclinicity over the Yellow Sea, but the intrusion and eastward movement of cold air to Seoul was too slow than normally predicted. Using the data of numerical model, satellite and radar images, three dimensional analysis Products(KLAPS : Korea Local Analysis and Prediction System) of the environmental conditions of this event such as temperature, equivalent potential temperature, wind, vertical circulation, divergence, moisture flux divergence and relative vorticity could be analyzed precisely. Through the analysis of this event, the formation and westward advection of lower cyclonic circulation with continuously horizontal movement of air into the eastern part of Seoul by the analyses of KLAPS fields have been affected by occurring the heavy snowfall event. As the predictability of abrupt snowfall event was very hard and dependent on not only the synoptic atmospheric circulation but also for mesoscale atmospheric circulation, the forecaster can be predicted well this event which may be occurred and developed within the very short time period using sequential satellite images and KLAPS products.
Instroduction: The purpose of this study was to investigate safety education-related backgrounds and safety behaviors of elementary school children at a local area in Jeonbuk province. Methods: Study subjects were 308 5th and 6th graders from 6 schools located in J City and the data were collected from June 16-27, 2003. Research instrument to test safety behaviors was 4-points summated scale (Cronbach${\alpha}$= .94) composed of 54-items with three sub-categories school life safety (${\alpha}$= .88), traffic safety (${\alpha}$= .86), and daily life safety (${\alpha}$= .84), The data was analyzed by percentage, x2-test, t-test, ANOVA and Duncan test using SPSS/PC 10.0. Results: 1. Safety Education-related Characteristics: Safety education was mostly conducted during extracurricular hour as picnic (37%) and regular class (37.2%); and the instructors of safety education were school nurse (33.2%), classroom teacher (30.9%), and parents (23.4%) in order. About two third (71.0%) of the subjects have had many kinds of school event program such as essay writing, poster drawing, oratorical contest in the course of safety education According to gender, girl students was more favorable about school events as a effective safety education measure (x2=9.188, p= .010); and according to school location, nural school taught more at moming & closing session (x2=7.383, p= .025), by school nurse or classroom teacher (x2=36.574, p= .001), and had more frequent (x2=63.337, p= .001) safety education class. 2. Practice of safety behaviors: Mean scores of safety behaviors was $106.9{\pm}24.92$ out of 162 points. According gender, the scores of girl students (t=-3.296, p= .001) were significant higher than boy students. But there was not any significant difference according to school area According to safety education-related characteristics, the scores of safety behaviors was significantly higher in the group who thought that school event program was more effective on safety education (F=4.024, p= .019), and who were more interested in current safety education class (F= 10.203, p= .001) Conclusions: From the above findings, the authors concluded that school-based safety education was mainly conducted at extra-curricular and regular class, and by school nurse or classroom teacher in elementary school. Even though the mean scores of safety behaviors of elementary school children was in medium level, those. were significant higher in girl students and in rural school children. And extra-curricular activities and school event programs were suggested as more effective strategies for school-based safety education Based on the above findings, safety education class can be recommended in regular curricular basis; and various extracurricular activities and school event programs need to be developed for more effective school-based safety education. In addition, further study on gender-specific factors on safety behaviors and nationwide survey on school-based safety education should be needed.

This paper reveals continuity of related events which are occurred and changing from moment to moment accident/events collected from various social media channels. Among them, we especially define the events which have big social influence as "issue event" and investigate the type and characteristics of continuous issue event for each domain. We also introduce a automatic issue detection system in social media text. Based on the extracted issue event results in a particular domain, we analyse the continuity of those events by illustrating in time and place-axis. Furthermore, we identify the relationship between social media in terms of issue events propagation.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the need for family life welfare service program, and to develope the program for managing in the Community Centers. The survey was conducted by interviewing 356 users and 360 non-users of Community Center, total 716 persons living in Daegu City, from October 8 to October 30 in 2002. The data were analyzed by the SPSS PC+ program applying t-test and ANOVA. The results were as follows : First, overall the needs for family life welfare service program, consisting of education program, facilities management and counseling program, and event program, was higher than 3.7 points. The needs level for event program was a little higher than other two programs. Second, the level of needs for family life welfare service program differed between user group and non-user group of the Community Centers. Third, the level of needs for family life welfare service program varied according to the demographic variables, such as sex, age, marital status, family life cycle, education level, vocation, monthly average income and housing type. Finally, Based on the results of needs analysis, 11 education programs, 4 facilities management and counseling programs and 5 event programs were developed for family life welfare service program. These programs developed in this study could be applied to diverse groups classified by age, social class, family life cycle of citizens. Also the programs should be applied in terms of family unit, as well as individual base to enhance the function of family life.

There are many mistakes when we estimate probability of an event, for example, we often omit some likelihoods (of an event), sometimes give too large or too small possibility for a particular case, cannot relate current cases with which were concerned before, apply at another cases as soon as discuss about it insufficiently, etc. If we go into a history of probability and statistics, we shall ascertain that many scientists and mathmaticians made essentially same mistakes with us. In the paper, we will consider the theorization of probability and statistics as a process of modification of mistakes which were made during one's estimating possibility of an event. On that point of view, we shall look at historical background of probability and statistics.
