간호대학생의 지각된 건강상태, 건강증진행위 및 사회적 문제해결 능력이 대학 적응에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Health Status, Health Promoting Behaviors, and Social Problem Ability on College Adjustment among Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The study identified the impact of health status, health promoting behaviors, and social problem ability on college adjustment among nursing students. Method: The subjects consisted of 208 nursing students. Data collected from October to November 2011 were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. Result: The mean scores of health status ($3.20{\pm}.56$), social problem ability ($3.20{\pm}.43$), and college adjustment ($2.95{\pm}.57$) were above the average. But health promoting behaviors ($2.31{\pm}.39$) was the average. Health status was significantly different according to grade, dwelling, and academic achievement. Health promoting behaviors was significantly different according to gender. College adjustment was significantly different according to gender, grade, religion, dwelling, reason of nursing department application, and academic achievement. But social problem ability was not significantly different according to general characteristics. Significant correlations were found among health status, health promoting behaviors, social problem ability and college adjustment. Health promoting behaviors, social problem ability, academic achievement, and gender were influencing factors of college adjustment (47.3%). Conclusion: These findings indicate that it is considered to gender, academic achievement, health promoting behaviors, and social problem ability to improve college adjustment of nursing students. Will also reflect the need to develop programs to promote desirable college adjustment among nursing students.

팀기반학습이 영재학생의 창의적 문제해결력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Gifted Students' Creative Problem Solving Ability by Team-Based Learning)

  • 팀기반학습은 짜임새 있는 팀활동을 통해 구성원들의 의사결정능력, 조정능력, 협동심, 문제해결력을 향상시켜주기 때문에 영재교육에 있어 중요한 역할을 할 수 있다. 그래서 팀기반학습에 기초한 프로그램을 개발하고, 이를 영재학생들에게 적용시켰을 때 창의적 문제 해결력의 향상 효과에 대해 연구하였다. 경남 산청군의 S 초등학교 4, 5학년 영재학급 학생 13명(남 3명, 여 10명)을 대상으로 실시하였고, 총 10차시 분량의 프로그램을 개발하였다. 창의적 문제해결력의 향상 정도를 파악하기 위해 자기보고식 형태의 검사도구를 사용하였다. 적은 학생 수로 인하여 사전사후 결과를 비모수통계처리한 결과 유의수준 5% 이내에서 유의미한 향상효과가 있었다. 특히 확산적 사고, 비판적 논리적 사고에서 크게 향상되었다. 이처럼 팀기반학습에 기초한 프로그램은 영재학생들의 창의적 문제해결력 향상에 효과적이므로, 창의적 문제해결력 향상을 필요로 하는 영재학급에서 널리 사용될 수 있다.

임상중심 실무능력향상 교육모델(FO-CUP)의 융합적 효과성 연구: H대학 작업치료실습을 중심으로 (The Effects of Field-Oriented Capacity Upgrade Model(FO-CUP): H University Occupational Therapy Practice)

  • 본 연구는 작업치료의 임상중심 실무능력 향상을 위한 교육모델인 Field Oriented Capacity Upgrade Program을 제안하였다. 제시한 교육모델과 전통적인 강의식 교육방식을 비교하여 학생의 자기주도 학습능력과 문제해결능력에 미치는 효과성을 검증하였다. 연구방법은 제시한 모델교육에 참여한 실험집단과 강의식 수업에 참여한 대조 집단으로 나누어 비동등성 대조군 전후 설계(nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design)를 이용한 유사 실험연구로 진행하였다. 또한 연구 대상은 3학기에 걸쳐 교육에 참여한 총135명의 학생을 대상으로 사전조사와 사후조사를 진행하였다. 제시한 학습방식을 적용하여 교육한 결과 실험군이 대조군에 비해 자기주도 학습능력과 문제해결능력이 각각 22%, 18%향상된 결과를 얻었다. 이번 연구는 작업치료 임상실무능력을 향상하기 위한 새로운 교수-학습방법을 개발하여 제안하였고, 다양한 직무에서 요구하는 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 교수-학습방법의 기초 자료로 의미가 있겠다.

Maple을 이용한 삼각함수의 이해 (Understanding of the trigonometric function using Maple)

  • Since the computer is becoming more and more indispensible tool in every fields of the modern society, it is needed and desirable to utilize the computer as a basic tool from the very early stage of the education process. Recently Maple is gaining its popularity as a comprehensive mathematical software with its power of symbolic calculations and graphics as well as its great numerical computational ability. We demonstrate the suitability of this software as a tool for the mathematical education and presents several examples of the applications of Maple. For the middle and the high school mathematics courses, we give the application examples for the quadratic functions and their graphs, statistics, the three dimensional shapes, algebraic problems. Through the examples, we confirm that mathematical education can be much more effective and simple by using Maple. If we establish computer-assisted mathematical classes, we can draw more attention and excitement from the attendants than traditional classes and eventually improve more rapidly their problem-solving ability On the other hand, the excess of the computer-aided education give to obstacle of psychological, not to be passing over the fact.

환경 NGO의 사회환경교육자 양성 프로그램 분석 (An Analysis of Upbringing Program for Informal Environmental Educator in Environmental NGOs)

  • The objectives of this study were to analyze present status and to suggest for the future upbringing programs for informal environment educator of Environmental NGOs in Korea. Based on the findings from reviewing environmental educators’ certification systems in Environmental NGOs, the following suggestions should be considered for improving the certification systems. 1) Government and environmental NGOs should adopt a certification system by implementing qualifying examination for employing specification of informal environmental educator. 2) Applicants to obtain a certification of informal environmental educator in environmental NGOs should be qualified through standard processes including taking required curriculum and programs. They must be evaluated informal environmental educator’ ability accurately through their portfolio, teaching ability, professional responsibilities and so on. 3) Standardized curriculum and programs should be adopted by government for the initial preparation of environmental educators reflecting the guidelines from the KOSEE (The Korean Society for Environmental Education) and NAAEE (North American Association for Environmental Education) in the future.

관찰에 의한 분류하기 탐구 능력 평가 준거 개발 (Development of a Standard to Assess Classifying Inquiry Skills by Observation)

  • The purpose of this research is to develop standards with which we can design an instrument to assess classifying inquiry skills by observing students' behavior and reported outcome which is not the paper and pencil test. This research is focused on developing a standard for analysis of classifying ability among research functions. To identify classifying inquiry skills, standards from classifying behaviors were comparing ways with other cards and using information included in the cards; Standards selected from the final reports were the appropriateness, inconsistency and hierarchy of the classification outcome. The standards were initially selected during the class with picture cards printed various birds appearances on the front side and their traits on the back which was specially designed among sixth graders. The picture cards prepared with plant leaves and stems had designed to identify whether standards was effective to assess student's classifying ability. The standards was an effective tool to assess student's classifying inquiry skills.

Tools for the Acquisition of Graphing Ability: Real-Time Graphing Technology

  • This study investigates the impact of Calculator-Based Ranger (CBR) activities in the performance of middle school students' graphing abilities of physical phenomena. Two issues about CBR activities on graphing abilities were addressed in this study; (1) the effect of CBR activities on graphing abilities, and (2) the influence of instructional styles on students' graphing abilities. Following the use of CBR activities, students' graphing abilities were significantly more developed in three components-interpreting, modeling, and transforming. Significant differences were found in students' achievement depending on instructional styles related to differentiation, which is closely connected to transforming distance-time graphs to velocity-time graphs. The findings of this study indicate that CBR activities may enhance students in constructing appropriate webs of related concepts and ability to qualitatively interpret graphs. Using collaborative CBR activities to introduce and explore graphing of physical phenomena is, therefore, recommended for inclusion in the secondary mathematics curriculum.

수학적 사고의 유연성과 확산적 사고 (Flexibility of Mind and Divergent Thinking in Problem Solving Process)

  • This paper is designed to characterize the concept of flexibility of mind and analyze relationship between flexibility of mind and divergent thinking in view of mathematical problem solving. This study shows that flexibility of mind is characterized by two constructs, ability to overcome fixed mind in stage of problem understanding and ability to shift a viewpoint in stage of problem solving process, Through the analysis of writing test, we come to the conclusion that students who overcome fixed mind surpass others in divergent thinking and so do students who are able to shift a viewpoint.

Factors Affecting Earth Science Problem-Solving Performances of Elementary School Pre-service Teachers: A Study on the Motions of the Moon and the Planets

  • The aim of this study was to investigate the factors affecting earth science problem-solving performances of elementary school pre-service teachers. The participants of the study were 81 students attending an elementary school teacher education university. The instruments of the study were paper-and-pencil tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The tests mainly measured the participants' problem solving abilities in the motions of the moon and the planets. Correlation and multiple regression techniques were used for data analysis. The results demonstrated that the pre-service teachers' problem solving abilities were low. Problem-solving performances were affected by the procedural knowledge, the participants' perception of the past earth science performance, self-efficacy, and the prerequisite declarative knowledge. Contrary to our expectation, the spatial visualization ability was not found to be related to the problem-solving performances. Implications of the study are drawn, and suggestions are made for further research.

컴퓨터 활용 프로젝트 미디어교육의 중등 기술교과 학업성취도 및 자기주도 학습능력에 미치는 효과 연구 (An Effects of Project Media Education with Computer in Technological Academic Achievement and Ability of Self-Directed Learning in middle school)

  • 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터를 중심으로 하여 인쇄매체, 영상매체를 활용하는 프로젝트 미디어교육이 중학생 기술교육의 학업성취도 및 자기주도 학습능력에 긍정적인 효과를 미치는가를 연구하였다. 연구대상자들을 전통적 교사중심 강의수업을 받는 집단과 프로젝트 미디어교육을 받는 집단으로 나누어 실험하였다. 이를 통해 나타난 결과는, 첫째, 프로젝트 미디어교육 학습집단이 전통적 강의방식 학습집단에 비해 인지적 영역과 정의적 영역의 학업성취도에서 더 효과적인 결과를 보여주었다. 그러나 학습결과물 영역의 학업성취도에서는 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 프로젝트 미디어교육 학습집단이 전통 학습집단에 비해 학습자들의 자기주도 학습능력 요소들 중, 학습기회에 대한 개방성, 학습에의 솔선수범 및 독립성, 창의성의 요소들에서 더 효과적인 결과를 나타내었다.
