  • Eavesdropping attacks have seriously threatened network security. Attackers could eavesdrop on target nodes and link to steal confidential data. In the traditional network architecture, the static routing path and the important nodes determined by the nature of network topology provide a great convenience for eavesdropping attacks. To resist monitoring attacks, this paper proposes a random routing mutation defense method based on dynamic path weight (DPW-RRM). It utilizes network centrality indicators to determine important nodes in the network topology and reduces the probability of important nodes in path selection, thereby distributing traffic to multiple communication paths, achieving the purpose of increasing the difficulty and cost of eavesdropping attacks. In addition, it dynamically adjusts the weight of the routing path through network state constraints to avoid link congestion and improve the availability of routing mutation. Experimental data shows that DPW-RRM could not only guarantee the normal algorithmic overhead, communication delay, and CPU load of the network, but also effectively resist eavesdropping attacks.

  • The speech sound is detected by the vibration measurement of the window glass. In this study, we investigate the effect of the disturbing waves by background noise and window shaker excitation on the speech intelligibility of the detected sound. Based upon Modulation Transfer Function(MTF), speech intelligibility of the sound is objectively estimated by Speech Transmission Index(STI) As the level of the disturbing wave varies, variation of the speech intelligibility is examined. Experimental result reveals how STI is influenced by the level and frequency characteristics of the disturbing wave. By using a customized window shaker for disturbing sound, we evaluate the efficiency and the frequency characteristics of the anti-eavesdropping system. The purpose of the study is to provide useful information to prevent the eavesdropping through the window glass.

  • Possibility of the eavesdropping is investigated on a conference room-glass window coupled system. Speech intelligibility analysis is performed on the eavesdropping sound of the glass window. Using MLS(Maximum Length Sequency) signal as a sound source, acceleration and velocity responses of the glass window are measured by accelerometer and laser doppler vibrometer. MTF(Modulation Transfer Function) is used to identify the speech transmission characteristics of the room and window system. STI(Speech Transmission Index) is calculated by using MTF and speech intelligibility of the vibration sound is estimated. Speech intelligibilities by the acceleration signal and the velocity signal are compared.

  • VoIP service by taking advantage of the current PSTN network and internet over the existing telephone network at an affordable price allows you to make voice calls to the service is being expanded. However, the security of public must be maintained for security vulnerabilities in Smart Phone VoIP case problems arise, and is likely to be attacked by hackers. In this paper, the Internet, using wired and Smart Phone VoIP services may occur during analysis of the type of incident and vulnerability analysis, the eavesdropping should conduct an attack. Smart Phone VoIP with institutional administration to analyze the vulnerability OmniPeek, AirPcap the equipment is installed in a lab environment to conduct eavesdropping attack. Packet according to the analysis and eavesdropping attacks, IP confirmed that the incident as an attack by the eavesdropping as to become the test proves. In this paper, as well as Smart Phone VoIP users, the current administration and the introduction of Smart Phone service and VoIP service as a basis for enhanced security will be provided.

  • In this study, possibility of the laser eavesdropping is investigated on the window glasses with various thicknesses, Glass windows are excited by maximum length sequency (MLS) signal and the vibration sound is detected by a laser doppler vibrometer. From the detected sound, speech intelligibility is objectively estimated. Speech transmission index (STI), which is based on the modulation transfer function (MTF). is calculated for the estimation. Finally, disturbing wave effect on the speech intelligibility is analysed by using an outside speaker and a window shaker attached on the glass window. The purpose of the study is to estimate the possibility of remote eavesdropping by the laser sensor and to evaluate the performance of the homemade window shaker to protect from the remote eavesdropping.

  • The development of electronic devices has recently led to many problems such as personal information rape and leakage of business information. Conventional loud-speakers have been generally used to output devices. It can be, however, operated as a micro-phone which was abused as a means for eavesdropping since the speaker and microphone have basically the equivalent structure. Most importantly, the general peoples are not aware of the approaching danger about using speaker as microphone. And, traditional eavesdropping detection equipment does not check the attack. In this paper, we demonstrate that there is a serious danger and vulnerability in using loud-speakers since they can be used as eavesdropping devices.

  • Korean WiBro becomes international standard to IEEE 802.16e, and We are carrying out a WiBro network business from capital regions. We executed eavesdropping about voices and messenger program and the VoIP which frequently happened in WiBro networks at these papers. We have a lot in common with the Wireshark which is a packet collection and an analyzer, and We execute eavesdropping, and We reproduce eavesdropping data with bases to a SIP, H.263, TCP, UDP protocol through packets. In time of a copy of a packet negative the VoIP which verify time with bases, and was eavesdropped on integrity packet and a X-Lite call record, be matched that a packet is counterfeit forgery did not work, and We demonstrate, and verify integrity. The data which integrity was verified put in a seaming envelope, and we prepare so as it is to a liver of investigator, and execute, and to be able to do use to proof data after seaming in courts in order to utilize as criminal investigation data.

  • Asynchronous ranging is one practical method to implement a locating system that provides accurate results. However, a locating system utilizing asynchronous ranging generates a large number of messages that cause transmission delays or failures and degrades the system performance. This paper proposes a novel approach for efficient congestion control in an asynchronous range-based locating system. The proposed method significantly reduces the number of messages generated during the reader discovery phase by eavesdropping on other transmissions and improves the efficiency of ranging by organizing the tags in a hierarchical fashion in the measurement phase. Our evaluation shows that the proposed method reduces the number of messages by 70% compared to the conventional method and significantly improves the success rate of ranging.

  • Eavesdropping prevention performance is evaluated on a commercial window shaker, which is used to prevent a glass window from eavesdropping. Speech transmission index (STI) is introduced in order to estimate quantitatively the speech intelligibility of the sound detected on the glass window. Objective test by IEC standard using modulation transfer function (MTF) is performed to determine STI. Using Maximum Length Sequency (MLS) signal as a sound source, MTF is measured by accelerometers and laser doppler vibrometer. STI under different level of disturbing wave are compared to confirm the disturbing effect on the speech intelligibility.

  • Possibility of the remote eavesdropping through window glass is investigated using a laser sensor. Various thicknesses and types of glass windows are excited by maximum length sequency (MLS) signal and the vibration sound is detected by a laser doppler vibrometer. Intelligibility of the detected sound is evaluated using the speech transmission index (STI), which is based on the modulation transfer function (MTF). In order to identify the disturbing effect, different level of disturbing wave is generated by an outside speaker and a window shaker attached on the glass window. On the different thickness of glass windows, decrease effect of the speech intelligibility is analysed.
