For $r{\geq}2$, let ${\mathcal{H}}$ be an r-uniform hypergraph with n vertices and m hyperedges. Let R be a random vertex set obtained by choosing each vertex of ${\mathcal{H}}$ independently with probability p. Let ${\mathcal{H}}[R]$ be the subhypergraph of ${\mathcal{H}}$ induced on R. We obtain an upper bound on the matching number ${\nu}({\mathcal{H}}[R])$ and a lower bound on the independence number ${\alpha}({\mathcal{H}}[R])$ of ${\mathcal{H}}[R]$. First, we show that if $mp^r{\geq}{\log}\;n$, then ${\nu}(H[R]){\leq}2e^{\ell}mp^r$ with probability at least $1-1/n^{\ell}$ for each positive integer ${\ell}$. It is best possible up to a constant factor depending only on ${\ell}$ if $m{\leq}n/r$. Next, we show that if $mp^r{\geq}{\log}\;n$, then ${\alpha}({\mathcal{H}}[R]){\geq}np-{\sqrt{3{\ell}np\;{\log}\;n}-2re^{\ell}mp^r$ with probability at least $1-3/n^{\ell}$.
Acanthopanax divaricatus Seem. is a medicinal plant growing widely through out Korea, Japan and China. The plant material of Acanthopanax spp. is used as analgesic , tonic, sedative drug as well as for the treatment of hypertension, rheumatism and diabetes. From the stem barks and root barks of A. divaricatus, diterpenoid compound was isolated and identified as pamaric acid ($C_{20}H_{30}O_2,\;mp\;164^{\circ}C$), lignan compounds were isolated and identified as d-sesamin ($C_{20}H_{18}O_6,\;mp\;123{\sim}124^{\circ}C$), eletheroside E ($C_{34}H_{46}O_{18},\;mp\;257{\sim}259^{\circ}C$), three sterol compounds were identified as ${\beta}$-sitosterol, campesterol, stigmasterol, and six fatty acid compounds were identified as stearic acid, palmitic acid, oleic acid, linolenic acid, arachidonic acid and behenic acid. And also leaves of A. divaricatus, chiisanoside were identified, one of secotriterpenoidal compound(white amorphorous powder crystal, mp $228^{\circ}C$). Anticancer activity and nephrotoxicity were tested by MTT assay. Anticancer effect of chiisanoside was much lower than that of cisplatin.
This experiment was conducted to evaluate the parameters such as nutrient requirements, POY, AnV, Totox, VBN, total plate count, dietary fatty acids and amino acids composition, that are not included in the registered standard composition items required by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, of a moist pellet (MP), three domestic extruded pellets (DEP-1, DEP-2, DEP-3), and two foreign extruded pellets (FEP-1, FEP-2) that are utilized by domestic flounder farms at present. The crude protein was added in excess of the dietary protein requirement in 6 kinds of feeds. When considering the proper PH ratio, it is obvious that protein was added in excess, especially in MP and FEP-2. Crude fat was also added in excess, especially in FEP-1. MP contained a higher dietary phosphorus content than formulated feeds, surpassing the dietary phosphorus requirement and greatly increasing the possibility for causing water pollution. The oxidation of fatty acid and decomposition of protein in MP were higher than in formulated feeds, and may also cause problems on fish farms. Also, it is difficult to store and manage MP, Among the fatty acids, EPA and DHA contents in MP were higher than those in formulated feeds. It is necessary to conduct further studies of EPA and DHA contents in formulated feeds. Lysine content in MP and FEP-2 could meet the dietary lysine requirement of flounder, however, the possibility of insufficient lysine content in the other formulated feeds was high and we considered that extra supplementation was necessary. Therefore, it is necessary to set up quality control standards according to fish species and sizes while considering the specific character of aquatic formulated feeds to restore the confidence of feed companies and aquaculturists to these feeds. This may be an opportunity to make an earlier change from MP to formulated feeds.
Objective: The purpose of this prospective study was to evaluate the dentofacial effects of conventional and modified facemask therapies with rapid maxillary expansion, in a group of Class III patients; and compared with an untreated control group. Methods: The conventional facemask group (Group 1) comprised of 24 patients, 13 girls and 11 boys (mean age, $9.2{\pm}1.4$ years); the modified facemask treatment group (Group 2) comprised of 24 patients, 12 girls and 12 boys (mean age, $9.3{\pm}1.6$ years); and the control group (Group 3) comprised of 21 subjects, 11 girls and 10 boys (mean age, $9.8{\pm}1.9$ years). Treatment and control changes within the groups and the differences between the groups were analyzed statistically. Intra-group comparisons were evaluated using the non-parametric Wilcoxon's test and intergroup changes were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test. The statistical significance of intergroup differences was further assessed with the Mann-Whitney test for independent samples and applying Bonferroni's correction (p < 0.016). Results: In group 1, SNB changes were less than the control. There were increases in SNA, ANB, SN-MP, A to N perp and Upper lip to E plane. In group 2, SNB, U1-NA (mm) U1-NA (${\circ}$) and Pog to N perp (mm) changes were less than the control. There were increases in SNA, ANB, SN-MP, A to N perp and Upper lip to E plane. Conclusions: Modified facemask appliance can be used effectively in Class III patients with a retrognathic maxilla. Facemask therapies with expansion resulted in an anterior advancement and translation of maxilla without rotation; and the mandible moved downward and backward ward in both treatment groups.
71 Class I malocclusion samples were selected and they were divided into premolar-extraction and non-extraction groups. Vertical and horizontal cephalometric evaluations on dental and soft tissue measurements were done before and after treatment. Also, treatment results in adolescent patients and adult patients were compared. The following conclusions were obtained: 1. In comparison of extraction and non-extraction groups, all the dental and soft tissue measurements, with exception of SN-MP angle, upper lip to E-line, vertical movement of upper first molar, md horizontal movement of lower first molar, showed statistically significant differences. 2. In comparison of extraction and non-extraction groups of adolescent samples, there were statistically significant differences in upper and lower incisor inclinations, horizontal dental movements from vertical reference line, positional changes in upper and lower lips, and mesial movements of upper first molar. 3. In comparison of extraction and non-extraction groups of adult samples, there were statistically significant differences in upper and lower incisor inclinations, horizontal dental movements from vertical reference line, positional changes in upper and lower lips from I-line and vertical reference line, vertical height of upper first molar, and mesial movement of lower first molar. 4. There was no statistically significant difference in SN-MP angle between extraction and non-extraction groups of both adolescent and adult samples.
The aim of this study was to compare in vitro gas production kinetics, metabolizable energy (ME), organic matter digestibility (OMD) and microbial protein (MP) production of widely used legume hays in ruminant nutrition in Turkey. Gas production were determined at 0, 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72 and 96 h and their kinetics were described using the equation p = a+b ($1-e^{-ct}$). There were significant differences among legume hays in terms of chemical composition. The crude protein content of legume hays ranged from 11.7 to 18.6% of dry matter (DM); crude fat from 2.1 to 3.5% DM; neutral detergent fiber from 35.6 to 52.0% DM; acid detergent fiber from 32.0 to 35.5% DM and acid detergent lignin 1.7 to 11.0% DM. Total gas production after 96 h incubation ranged between 61.67 and 76.00 ml/0.200 g of substrate. At 24, 72 and 96 h incubation the total gas production for common vetch were significantly (p<0.01) higher than those of the other legume hays. The ME, OMD and MP of legume hays ranged from 9.09 to 11.12 MJ/kg DM, 61.30 to 75.54% and 90.35 to 138.05 g/kg DM, respectively. The ME, OMD and MP of common vetch was significantly (p<0.01) higher than those of the other hays due to low cell-wall contents and high crude protein. At the end of the experiment, differences in chemical composition of legume hays resulted in the differences in the in vitro gas production, gas production kinetics and the estimated parameters such as ME, OMD and MP. Common vetch can be recommended to hay producers and ruminant breeders, due to high ME, OMD and MP production.

Background: We aimed to compare the therapeutic efficacy of prolonged macrolide (PMC), corticosteroids (CST), doxycycline (DXC), and levofloxacin (LFX) against macrolide-unresponsive Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) pneumonia in children and to evaluate the safety of the secondary treatment agents. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the data of patients with MP pneumonia hospitalized between January 2015 and April 2017. Macrolide-unresponsiveness was clinically defined with a persistent fever of ${\geq}38.0^{\circ}C$ at ${\geq}72$ hours after macrolide treatment. The cases were divided into four groups: PMC, CST, DXC, and LFX. We compared the time to defervescence (TTD) after secondary treatment and the TTD after initial macrolide treatment in each group with adjustment using propensity score-matching analysis. Results: Among 1,165 cases of MP pneumonia, 190 (16.3%) were unresponsive to macrolides. The proportion of patients who achieved defervescence within 48 hours in CST, DXC, and LFX groups were 96.9% (31/33), 85.7% (12/14), and 83.3% (5/6), respectively. The TTD after initial macrolide treatment did not differ between PMC and CST groups (5.1 vs. 4.2 days, P = 0.085), PMC and DXC groups (4.9 vs. 5.7 days, P = 0.453), and PMC and LFX groups (4.4 vs. 5.0 days, P = 0.283). No side effects were observed in the CST, DXC, and LFX groups. Conclusion: The change to secondary treatment did not show better efficacy compared to PMC in children with macrolide-unresponsive MP pneumonia. Further studies are needed to guide appropriate treatment in children with MP pneumonia.

International societies are currently working together to achieve the Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) initiative which aims the triple wins: (1) sustainably increasing agricultural productivity and incomes; (2) adapting and building resilience to climate change; and (3) mitigating greenhouse gases emissions. In terms of its scope and context, CSA follows the '3Nong (三農)' vision cast about 200 years ago by Dasan Jeong Yak-Yong who emphasized the triad of governance, management and monitoring towards comfortable, profitable and noble agriculture. Yet, the CSA provides the practical aims that facilitate the development of holistic indicators for quantitative evaluation and monitoring, on which decision-making support system is based. In this study, we introduce an agent-based model, i.e. Mathematical Programming Multi-Agent Systems (MP-MAS), as a tool for supporting the decision-making toward CSA. We have established the initial version of MP-MAS adapted for domestic use and present the preliminary results from an application to the rice farming case in Haenam, Korea. MP-MAS can support both farmers and policy-makers to consider diverse management options from multiple perspectives. When the modules for system resilience and carbon footprint are added, MP-MAS will serve as a robust tool that fulfills not only CSA but also Dasan's '3Nong' vision of sustainable agricultural-societal systems.
